  • I'm admittedly bummed that I didn't go with my gut instinct & buy bitcoin few months back when it was $20k - $25k range. is it too late to get in and make profits? i have set aside $450k to get fully invested this year

    • i don't think it is. Once bitcoin crosses it's all time high, it becomes the new bottom. Anything under 69k is a good buy. It's still advisable to work with a fiduciary advisor instead of relying solely on speculations

    • The only issue you might have is the fear of missing out, just like everyone else. A good number of people discredit the effectiveness of financial advisors in exploring new market opportunities, but over the past 10years I’ve had a financial advisor consistently restructure and diversify my portfolio/expenses and I’ve made over $3million in gains… might not be a lot but i'm financially secure.

  • My spouse and I are adding a variety of stocks/ETF to my present holdings for the long term, We've set aside $250k to start following inflation-indexed bonds and stocks of companies with solid cash flows, I believe it is a good time to capitalize on the market for long-term gains, but it wouldn't hurt to know means of actualizing short term profit.

    • I agree, having a brokerage advisor for inveesting is genius! Amidst the financial crisis in 2008, I was really having inveesting nightmare prior touching base with a advisor. In a nutshell, i've accrued over $850k with the help of my advisor from an initial $120k investment.

  • Like Warren Buffet said, dividends are only good if the business you're investing into can't make good use of that capital. So, if you're trying to invest in businesses with actual growth, looking at dividends is a waste of time. Why are you investing into a company if they're returning capital to you because they think you can make better use if it than they can. It's not much different from bond investing. The way I see it, if you have a $1 million at some point, that'd be enough to create a portfolio that would pay you between 50k - 70k in dividend income.

  • BTC is dead because it became a speculative investment vehicle instead of an actual currency. People just buy it to gamble, nobody actually uses it. BTC is not even capable of handling the amount of transactions needed for that. It would have been cool if we had had a decentralized currency.

  • 7:52 how easily transferrable is it if there's no upper bound to how high transaction fees can get? To me this is completely self-inflicted situation that could easily have been addressed by simply raising the blocksize. See Mike Hern's(former ex-google employee) 2016 post about bitcoin's planning and scaling failure. Wouldn't it make more sense to go with and alternative crypto that has all the same properties as bitcoin but without this hard to transfer problem?

  • I knew this would happen, the Eth upgrade told me so...learned alot from that,never put all in on a super-pump story but invest in things that stay silent. What sits down the list will come up, then you sell and buy another great coin that has not did a pump, because that's the game. Like OMD, nobody's investing in it right now, but it will go 40x one day.
