I think it's a social commentary on the toxicity of media since the fans will always support their "idols" but the media is looking for faults and scandals bc that sells views -Dispatch (which is like a TMZ type site). If you look at the first scene, everyone is aiming the phones at the the background, the "picture perfect" image of Jisoo and not even her, but as soon as she falls all the cameras that have became guns are aimed at her for a picture.
This girl group give you everything. Feel's like riding rollercoaster in term of their music, visual & attitude. Mixing the Black side such as swag, sassy, badass, powerful sometimes sadness with the Pink side such as cuteness, girly & innocent very well. No other girl group in the world at this moment present these kind blending concept then perform so attractive, captivated & seductive like their do. Yes many Korean ppl here love all four members for each of their uniqueness and talent. Lisa everyone loves for her unmatched swag and dancing, Jennie for her pretty and savage sides while being so cute in her true self, Jisoo in her lovely personality and aura that’s full of class and Rose with her powerful and beautiful voice and exquisite stage presence.
That scene with the phone guns is a social message. In short it's about how nobody is paying attention to you until you make a mistake (depicted by her falling down). As soon as you make a mistake they turn on you (depicted by the gun cameras). But it's also about Korean female beauty standards as depicted in that large picture in the background, especially the long black hair. Korean women rebel by cutting their hair short and dyeing it bright colors.

But as far as I understand, the scene was a metaphor to their lives as artists wherein people will look up at you when you are at your best and when you do wrong or anything that isn't right, people will judge or criticize you. A life of perfectionism. Well, idols in South Korea seem to have that kind of life. They are humans too and we can not expect them to act in a way that pleases us always. They are also bound to commit mistakes. That was just my interpretation. 😁✌️

BTS' youngest member, Jungkook, covered a bunch of his songs and they have been seen interacting on social media a lot! I wouldn't be surprised if he dives into this genre of music with more Korean artists. Lauv also recently did a song with BTS' Jimin and Jungkook called "Who are you" where they all sing in English! BLACKPINK has done collabs with Dua Lipa and Lady Gaga (recently). Their new song is coming out at the end of the month and they hinted it would be with Selena Gomez.

I recommend Red Velvet, (G)I-dle, Twice, Mamamoo, ATEEZ, Dreamcatcher, NCT U, NCT 127, NCT Dream, WayV, EXO, Stray Kids, BigBang, 2NE1, Itzy, f(x), Shinee, Girls Generation, TVXQ, and Super Junior the most but there are a lot of good kpop groups out there so hope you can check them out too.
9:28 in terms of synchronization it’s one of the basic requirements for a kpop group, and the boy group Seventeen (consists of 13 members) is famous for it. They literally look like robots or clones in their dance practice vids. All kpop groups have to sing/rap and dance at the same time. BTS ‘Dionysus’ deserves respect for this because so many of the dance moves are really dangerous/need a LOT of energy, and BTS need to sing at the SAME time. The amount of voice control needed for that is unreal 😫🤩💜 but yeah there’s a reason Blackpink is so big right now

What you are saying about the dancing is the reason I "stayed in the kpop world" after stumbling upon it and initially finding the language/songs weird. But that REAL dancing! It caught my interest so I kept watching and along the way I started loving the music as well ;) It was mostly boy groups dances I watched, SHINee, Super Junior, 2PM, Block B... but also liked Brown Eyed girls and SNSD. Found kpop in late 2010, and I'm still a huge fan. SHINee is my unchanging favorite
