If one understands Italian, especially Sicilian the meaning of those words is an all consuming, passionate love. Since I was very young, I felt incredible longing to be able to experience those words completely, even before I learned to speak Italian. I won't lie, true love as described in the song is scary because it burns and can't be contained like fire. I am an uncertain that such unbridled passion, as the song depicts, exist. But after learning of it, I am definitely curious.
