Thomas' Division I win sparked debates regarding transgender women playing women's sports. The former UPenn swimmer says her transition has nothing to do with sports
As a former male professional athlete, this is wrong and unfair. A real woman has no chance against a ''man''. 💩😪
I was born a biological male; as I aged I entered many sports and contest. I could never win a trophy, all the guys were always faster, stronger and more agile than I was. I had an idea; I will chop off some of my parts, take some drugs, and change to a female. I now can say as time went by I entered an all-female weight lifting contest, an guess what? I won. Now I have a trophy on my shelf and proud of myself. Does anyone feel the one who came in second was the winner? I think that biological female persons should compete in sports in a fair manner, and those who are not should stay out. This is my opinion; but what do I know? I am now going down to the gym and lift weights with the gals. [[I’LL SHOW THEM A THING OR TWO]]

As a male, happy or not, they tried their hardest and still came in the 400s! Body language suggest that saying "now I'm happy" bit is a lie and they know it.
As a man, he was not able to perform very well, and now he is winning against women, and that is what makes him happy. Not because he thinks he is a woman.

Shame on UPenn for allowing Thomas to compete on the women's team. Of course, if the NCAA had any backbone or even an ounce of integrity they'd simply institute chromosomal testing and say if an athlete has a Y chromosome they may only compete in men's sports.

Basically, we make decisions in life that we want to make us happy. Sometimes those decisions come with consequences so as not to infringe on the rights of others. Anyone who doesn’t realize that the male athlete’s physique and lung capacity is stronger than a woman’s is just kidding themselves. The NYTimes just printed an article backed by doctors on this very matter. And to GMA….it would be really nice if you presented BOTH sides of an issue like the effect on high school girls who have worked hard for years and lost scholarships because of situations like this. Perhaps you could also investigate the related scientific research. REAL journalists show both sides of an issue. Not doing that increases the distrust between the public and the media.

I feel it's a big step with the hormone therapy and the fact that she has had the gender reassignment surgery but she is too early in and is still producing too much male testosterone for now. It's too early for her to be competing at this level and unfair to the other women swimmers. She is taking a spot away from another deserving women in the podium every competition she is in.
I just don't understand why they just don't have a transgendered swim team if that's the case just compete against other transgendered whether it be woman turn man or man turn woman... just create a league for them... issue solved. But this is because this young man is being used for an agenda and playing right into their hands he might even be under MK mind control so I will pray for him.

When asked about a competitive advantage, she doesn't answer the question, just says she's happy. I don't think happy explains her height advantage, her heart and lung size advantage, the fact she still as a testosterone advantage. I'm all for her transitioning and being happy. Competing afainst biological women shouldn't br part of her happiness because it robs the other women of their happiness.
lia only seems to care about lia which is the biggest takeaway from this interview. the only way to make this fair is for trans to compete against other trans only, period. she will ALWAYS AND FOREVER have a physical advantage over biological women. even when you fully transition, you are still not technically a 'woman'. the biological women should all boycott all races she's in until this gets changed asap; they should have started boycotting a long time ago; it's absolutely absurd. i'm glad she's happy, but at what expense. she has a conscience and she knows it's not right at the end of the day..

Why was this swimmer permitted to compete in women's sport at all? He/she is biologically male, and therefore even though testosterone levels might now be suppressed to the same level as the average woman, the body physiology (greater lung capacity, larger heart, longer limbs, etc), musculature and strength have all still been influenced by male levels of Testosterone during development so are still physically male. To be fair perhaps an entirely seperate category should then be created for transgender. Not just in terms of sport but as a whole.
