The amount of passion put into these 80s intros will never be topped! What a time to have been alive 🥲
What a time to be alive indeed!
Born in 77. I live for this to this day. I'm tearing up
Class of '95! I loved this, show too.
76 👍🏻
@@jxchambSame, '95, had the Mask figures and vehicles back in the day.
76. My father bring videocassete with this cartoons fron Singapore. My childhood 😊
Me too 😂
The intro music is a masterpiece.
Part of the beat sounds like Journey’s “Faithfully” 🧐🤔
One of the best ever!
Check the writer of MASK ;)
Have you heard the extended theme?
@@Euripides_Panz no, I haven't. But now I will. THANK YOU
The 80's were a great time to be a kid! Brings back great memories- fun show and even cooler toys!
yeah they were , I watched M A S K & Transformers G I Joe Thundercats He Man & Voltron & if you remember TranZor Z
@@bigwillietheb absolute
Now all rubbish
I did not watch it competely my son did , hè is 37 now , me 62 , good times
Now alle rubbish
I remember having some of the MASK toys as a kid. They weren't quite as popular as Transformers, but I personally thought they were just as cool
🥳
Same here. I enjoyed the figures with the interchangeable masks…. Good memories.
Same! Loved them. Favourite cartoon as a kid.
Me too. I also had some of the toys.
I loved my lil MASK dudes
80' cartoons are 100% better than todays
That they are.
saturday morning. 530am - 1130am. 0n three different channels.
As someone that grew up in the 90s and had loads of 80s cartoon reruns, I have to disagree. Animation stepped up its game so much. Not just with the animation itself but also with story telling and voice acting. Back then a lot of it was just case of the week type shows. With maybe an overarching villain that was very one-dimensional. Nowadays I've watched animated series like Young Justice where they had complex storytelling, loads of character development and very clever writing and twists.
@@HieilluaBut the difference is that cartoons of the 80's were pretty much about 25 minute toy commercials. Where as much as Warner Brothers wanted to sell toys for Young Justice, it didn't happen, because it's targeted towards young adults. Young Justice is a great show though.
A born 1980 the best years 80,90 beautiful cartoon 😊🙏💐
The theme tune just came into my head randomly as a 35 year old man currently feeding my baby. I have no idea where that came from but here we are. I had forgotten all about this show, but what a masterpiece it was!
Theme song was stuck in my head 24/7 back in 2020.
I love that the head villain looks like Stalin lol
Damn I get goose bumps when the computer selects the MASK team and I’m now 48 years old.....
Me 62
Woow ❤️🥂
I would love to see that in a live action movie! Good memories!
Try to rewatch Visionaries: Knights of the Magical Light when they were being given their powers.
Same here brother
2022. Who else out here, over 50 years old, knows and remembers this. You had an awesome cartoon time.
I’m with you. Watching in 2023
I’m 47 and remember. I use to love the toys. I wish they would bring them back
With you.. I’m 44 and had almost every toy in the line when I was a kid..just started re collecting them.. Star Wars and mask are my all time favorites
47 years old with fond memories of this gem.
I'm 60 and I have never let MASK die I still have some of the toys
Still hits like it's Saturday Morning in the 80s. Love it.
Children loved getting up early on Saturdays didn’t they?
I still remember the song 35yrs later. Awesome
im 46 now and i used to have a toy collection of MASK. they were cool back then during my childhood but too bad i gaveaway all of them to friends and cousins. still a big fan of this cartoon
Lol, same. Now I’m digging up all these old gems to share with my 6 year old. 😁
10:35 - as a kid, I thought the Thunder Hawk's gull wing doors turning into wings was the coolest thing ever, but as an adult I can't help think how nightmarish the turbulence would be!
Now you can understand that when Thunderhawk is in jet mode the windows are up. That would cut down on turbulence
Wouldn't the rear window just pop off because of all the air gushing in
Oh, forgot about this series but stumbled on the intro. Damn what a nostalgie trip.
I still laugh at the opening song lyrics : "...working overtime fighting crime..." 🤣
Yes and the agents are shown abandoning their "day jobs". More like working part-time fighting crime!
One of those most iconic openings of all time
Wish my kids would sit and watch this and many other iconic 80s Cartoons with me instead of the trash of tday 😫😫😫😫
Animation and toymaking have regressed brutally since 1985. Thank you, Disney.
Check out the War for Cybertron Unicron toy. I hear where you're coming from, but toys are much more advanced than they were, it's the kids that are driving demand down as they look for apps and video games over action figures. I loved the Mask toys. I'd have them run special missions for G.I. Joe.😉
Disney animation wasn’t great at that time. Look at Little Mermaid, it’s pretty poor. Plus, this was a tv show so needed to be animated quickly, Disney ha the luxury of time and money.
@@muskratvalhalla9954 The Little Mermaid was a jewel in Disney's crown, representing one of the largest budgets on animation in decades. It used novel rotoscoping techniques and had so many animators they needed to outsource some of the work to finish in the allotted time. Take five minutes and go watch the opening scene with the ship in the storm and look at the animation of the rolling seas, which was done entirely by hand (the last Disney full-length film to be colored by hand). It's absolutely amazing. Disney may have cut corners over the years, but to say it was "pretty poor" is a gross misrepresentation of a major Disney release, especially at a time when other animation studios like Hanna Barbera were churning out extremely shoddy artwork in favor of quantity.
Yeah, because M.A.S.K./G.I. Joe/Transformers were Don Bluth quality productions and not just a cheap method to market toys to kids 🙄
Pephodiles
I was born in 1981. My childhood memories
Man!!!!! This was one of my favorites in my childhood!!!! The music!!!!! So 80’s First MASK, then G.I. Joe, and finish with the Transformers!!!!!! And the comercials with the toys!!!!! So many great afternoons!!!
You forgot Saber rider bro!
The intro is nothing less than legendary 😎
You obviously have great taste in music. You should check out Night Ranger and Winger if you don't already own all their stuff. I would have enjoyed the theme song more but found myself spontaneously jamming ice picks into both of my ears, which sorta ruined the experience.
The other top intro theme was written for Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors. 🤘😎
Workin overtime fighting crime, Fighting Crime! Brilliant 💯👍
This was part of the soundtrack to my Saturday mornings in the 80's. Man I loved this show.
Best show in the world!!!!
"Illusion is ultimate weapon" The most truthful statement ever made - Be carful what you believe.
These were some of my fave toys when I was a kid, and I never missed the series on TV. Love the upload.
I had the black suv and the blue Venom plane. I wish I had all my old toys but always donated to Goodwill as a kid
@@bijouxdoum6199 JackHammer used by Cliff Dagger & Piranha used by Sly Rax.
me too. wish that they upload they upload the one where everyone ride in unicycles and the one where everyone zipline
T-Bob has radiation trackers and chemical sensors, but they didn't give him a radio?
Did R2 have a radio?
Watching this show brings back memories of when I was a kid watching this show, and playing with the toys, as well.
Her outfit upon waking. Amazing.
I wonder who changed her into it whilst she was Unconscious; Matt, Dusty, Alex, Bruce, Buddy or T-Bob?
@@CountZero78😂
Being a child of the 80s was the best time ever. We had great cartoons before we went and played ball in the neighborhood streets. There will never be a time so care free ever again. I feel sorry for today's kids.
I never thought there's too many plot holes in Episode 1 but this cartoon got me into comic books besides G. I. Joe, Transformers, Visionaries and Centurions.
Centurions yeah, I thought I was the only one. Just sold all of them on eBay but I can't part with my MASK collection., Transformers or battle beasts
@@jmack1717 but Centurions had better art.Silverhawk and oh yeah, 80s Thundercats! Issue #1 cover was pretty dope.
This show was way ahead of it's time! Did anyone notice there high tech apple watches?
Nobody tell them about Dick Tracy. It'll blow their minds
@@DunjeeTime Dick Tracy had High Tech watches ⌚ back in the early 1930s. 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩💖💖💖
The music in cartoons back then was just epic. Theme is worthy of being played in a stadium, the incidental music underlying the action is a-rockin' and has it's own personality distinct to the show you're watching ...
One of all time favorite super shows.
How come it just says MASK now without the periods between the letters?
She wakes up in unfamiliar surroundings, wearing different clothes (can’t believe she was wearing that outfit under the radiation suit) being watched by a stranger, and she never questions who changed her clothes 😂 gotta love the 80s 😂😂
Kids tends to focus on other aspect of the animation.
@@kluangh1tam I know. It’s something that would have flown over my head back then. Just realizing as an adult 😂
Ahh, takes me back to my youth. God, I miss the 80s SO MUCH! It was a GREAT time to be a kid! #LongLiveThe80s
Absolutely!!!
Man oh man how I loved this show as a kid!
Granted... this show is a 23-minute commercial. But this cartoon was my white whale as a kid. We didn't get it locally, so I had to scour the channels every time I want to my grandma's, hoping to find it. It never caught on like GI Joe or Transformers, but it was pretty sweet (and so were the toys).
I missed the life lessons at the end of the cartoons from the 80s and 90s.
LOVED this show/toys. Had every toy and life was perfect.
Binging these on a Saturday morning with a bowl of cereal Makes me feel 10 years old again☺️
Loved this as a kid. The toys where awesome also.
*were
The M.A.S.K toys were done by the same company that made the original Star wars toys. And that would be Kenner.
Its my childhood and i love it.
Wow! This brings back so many memories! It’s just like when I was a kid watching this but so much older. The quality is exactly the same and the feelings too.
One of the greatest show back in the day. This was what i grew watching. This episode does bring some good memories.
Man I loved this show as a kid. The good days growing up when you would get home from school and cartoons were on in the afternoon on the major tv channels in your area.
A live giving meteor that is extremely radioactive, and grows green stuff? TIBERIUM!
80's, please come back to us 😭
I had the red car with wings. Loved it!
I still memorized the intro even today
IMDB lists Cliff Dagger holding a remote as a goof because it was later revealed he wasn't controlling the UFO. But the novelisation reveals the remote control was used to create a distraction setting off car horns and lights, but this scene was not included in the final cartoon. No doubt to keep the run time short.
The cartoons back then had legitimate diversity without it being shoved down your throat as it is today. I miss my childhood.
My kids didn't think I was telling the truth about this show lol They also didn't believe me about Turbo Teen either. These shows and Inhumaniods were my favorite growing up. Thanks for the upload
Tattoo Teenage Alien Fighters from Beverly Hills
I grew up in the 90s but we had loads of reruns of older cartoons on Cartoon Network. Used to watch M.A.S.K, Centurions, COPS, classic Scooby Doo, original Transformers etc.
The intro was the best part of the show 🎉
It’s funny Matt Trakker has a secret elevator that takes him to an underground subway. Kind of reminds me of the original Voltron and how they got to there lions.
*their. "there" is a location.
Secret caves were all the rage
@@QS-si3cq Thanks for the grammar lesson.
@@freddyvidz Yeah they sure were
I think the elaborate-way-to-get-to-awesome-vehicles trope started in the 60s with Gerry Anderson’s Thunderbirds. Japanese anime started to run with it soon after. Voltron was late to the game.
Im so happy i grew up in those days.
Thanks for uploading this, enjoyed it thoroughly!!
Back from the 80s I always wished their was a film of Mask with the same music intro
It's a wonder they didn't ever make one .. this & Centurions
I love this show...my inner child is so happy 😊
M.A.S.K., C.O.P.S., and Bionic 6 were my favorites.
Ooh LOVED Cops!
Oh God. My childhood 🥲thank you for the great memories
Every Saturday was the cartoon day, that's what made it so exciting.
I had this one on vhs as a kid. I must have watched this show 50 times over.
Best days of my life.
This Channel took me to The fond memories of my childhood, Thank you so much pals !!
The animated shows from the 80s are so amazings 🤩🤗!!! So much tecnology😎!!!
My favourite show as a kid in the 80s through the EuroTV
Just played this for my daughters, 9 and 11. They were entranced.
I love it....throwback memories...
This Intro always gives me Goose bumps or chills lol
I love this back in the 80's
That theme song ... so many memories!! ^_^
Nostalgia hits. Tbh, it holds up quite nicely
I just got chills! This was my favorite cartoon when i was a kid. I had the motorcycle that turned to a helicopter i really wanted the black badguy truck
Oh, I wish that hollywood would make a live action movie based on mask. Transformers & G.I. Joe have already made their live action movies. I'm gonna watch it immediately, if it comes out. Being an 80's kid myself, I really loved watching cartoons and collecting their toys.
They'd just screw it up.
Wow I was a kid when I saw this, brings back memories
Unbelievable! I use to watch this show 👍🏼
Memories
This theme is up there with the WildC.A.T's from the 1990's... epically awesome‼️‼️‼️🏍️
Época boa sem grandes preocupações.
This was one of the reasons I woke up at 6am on a Saturday, back in the 90s.
I can still remember playing with all my Mask figures and the huge playset base. Still have pics of xmas morning of 87 with my playset. That song slaps harder than a 7 foot tall Albanian in an 8 ball jacket riding the subway in new york city.
This was such a great show that holds up today. Thank you! Too bad the owners of the property never gave us new toys based on these classic designs. What a missed opportunity.
That intro theme song is the dopest of all intro theme songs. My brother hated this show and I loved it.
Good show. Loved it when I was a kid.
I loved this show.
Thank you, Shout! Factory, for providing me the ride to time travel. #mask
To me, MASK suffered the same problem Transformers G1 did ... the good guys far outnumbered the bad guys so they never seemed like they were at a disadvantage and fighting an uphill battle.
Don't forget that they're also working overtime, overtime.
Brings back so many memories I yern for them times again
I still remember this amazing show like it was yesterday! The 🌎 needs Mask to zapp away the conara virus! Wow! What an amsome heavy metal sound trac!
Its funny, none of my friends knew what MASK stood for.... I love this show.
Wow! A blast from my past…
God bless Mask
Got the entire DVD boxset. Used to get the comic when I was a kid and had a picture published in one copy.
It literally just dawned on me that the purpose or maybe the accidental bonus of the masks let the animators not have to animate mouths to the dialogue lol
More of accidental bonus, there is large chance toys were first and it is easier optional part to do
Loved this series😊
