BeamXForza - Sounds & Configs: v0.5a Rejuvenation | BeamNG.Drive
The long awaited v0.5a update is here! This version comes with many improvements as usual and some being the final stepping stone which lays the groundwork for future updates. Because of this, v0.5a aims to be the last update with a hefty changelog!
To start off, the part selector tree has changed into Engines Categories! This future proofs the mod even further and allows the engines to become organized into different groups. The categories that all engines will be categorized into are: Daily & Economy, Sport & Luxury, Exotic & Super. Along with that, each vehicle will be assigned a default BxF engine based on the category selected. This will encompass all current and upcoming engines for the foreseeable future!
Moving onto the parts themselves, there are a couple small changes. Fuel Systems and Exhaust Headers have been removed. In their place, Ignition is now Ignition & Fuel, and Exhaust Systems control exhaust volume. Pistons & Valves now control engine volume. Camshaft upgrades have been decreased so that the base RPM value is higher. Upgrades now increase RPM by only +100.
Now let's dig into the fun stuff! Numerous fixes towards audio quality have been implemented and the engines should sound better than ever! Along with that comes better equalization, volume, and less audio distortion! Cherry on top, all engines have their respective irl counterpart displayed in the name.
3 new engines are available to use. First, let's start with the Sport Engine category. The 2.0L I6 comes from the R34 Nissan Skyline GTS-R. It produces about 215hp and is a good low power option for the sportier vehicles. The next engine is the 3.2L I6 from the E36 BMW M5. This engine has 345hp and is a slightly more modern option to the 3.5L I6 available. The last engine is part of the Exotic category, and is the 2.6L R4 rotary from the Mazda 787b. It has 650hp and revs up to 10,000rpm.
There's a lot more not covered in this video so be sure to view the changelog for the entire list of changes included in this update. Before you go, subscribe to stay up to date on teasers and engines I may add in-between the major releases! Thanks for watching and enjoy the ride!

The mod has recently updated to version v0.5.1a. Download is below! www.beamng.com/threads/beamxforza-sounds-configs-v0-5-1a.92002/
Is it compatible with 0.32?
Unfortunately not yet. Most vehicles should be fine still however the BX for sure doesn't work anymore. The timing wasn't great. I'll have a hotfix out in a few days.
@@galaxia3491can you add it to respiratory?
Ngl, this needs way more attention! Can’t wait to try this mod out soon!
Thank you so much! Hope you enjoy it :D
@@galaxia3491Is it allowed though? Because couldn’t some of these things technically be a copyrighted thing? They might find a way to take it down if you have no permission and it blows up.
@@TheKUGuyI've taken every precaution necessary to have a chance keeping this available. At the end of the day it's up to them. Here's hoping we can make it to a full 1.0 release 🙏
@@galaxia3491 Well I am happy that I can go through my year knowing this should stay up! It is quite an interesting and nice mod! I hope you can get to 1.0 too. 🙏
Honestly, this content deserves much more than just 17 subscribers and 180 views. Great video.
Thank you 🙏
And just like that, proud to be the 99th subscriber... just 2 days later.
@@Tigermoto going from 17 to over 100 in 2 days is just insane. I've never seen anything like this before lol
Subbed💯🙌🏾
That's insane! How has no one spoken about this yet?!
wow, this is amazing! RB sounds wery cool in game. And im love your tachometer so much, thank u!
Glad you agree! Thank you so much :)
hell yeah
Woah, this is awesome!
That ETK 800 sounds great!
Dope work brodie 🤝
Thanks 🥂
LOVE IT
Engines sound so nice
Downloading this as soon as i can
This is freaking awesome and the potential is limitless! My wishlist would be to add the following engine options: 1. Porsche 911 (991) GT3 RS flat six engine (Assetto Corsa has a great sound mod) 2. Chevrolet Corvette (C7) ZR1 LT5 V8 engine (current mods for this car don’t sound great) 3. Ford GT40’s carbureted V8 engine (Assetto Corsa has a great sound mod) 4. McLaren F1’s V12 engine (Assetto Corsa has a great sound mod) Having said that, your work is awesome and the attention to detail makes me very happy.
Thank you! These are all great suggestions however I'm limited to numerous things. Something not immediately noticeable is the fact I'm limited to front-engined cars. For me to get clean samples of both the engine and the exhaust, I can't pick any rear-engine cars. This sucks since a lot of nice sounding cars are rear-engine. In this case, if Forza has that engine swappable in a front-engined car, then I can use it. Otherwise I'm stuck in the water. I appreciate the suggestions and I'll try to get as many as I can. Cheers 🥂
@@galaxia3491 Ahhh I had no idea. Bummer that that’s an obstacle, but good to know. There’s still plenty of front engines to explore!
@@AndrewNguyenOfficial It is a bummer but yep there are still plenty of options. I have about 20 more in the queue excluding user suggested ones lol. We will see how it turns out 😉
Get this man some more views
i love maxing out the VR6 and supercharging it, sounds heavenly 😍 i'd love to see a V12 (maybe Murcielago) or a F4 (obviously Subaru) someday :)
Awesome! I've got some V12s and the Subaru boxer in the queue already 😎
@@galaxia3491 glad to hear it 😳
Wow, I’m really glad KZhead recommended me this! This is great. I just have one complaint. I’m pretty familiar with forza’s engine sounds and it sounds like they don’t rev high enough for the RPM shown (8000, 9000 etc). I could have sworn the engines have higher revving sounds in forza. There is some serious potential here. I really think you should add more fH5 engines than just the engine swap engines. There are far better 6 cylinder engine sounds for example in FH5. Or are you only able to use engine swap engine sounds because of copyright?
Appreciate it! So with the RPM values, I decided to stick closer to the stock value. I found the upgraded camshaft in FH5 to be too much, it slightly alters the sound and I wanted my mod to be closer to real life in this aspect. And for the "engine swap engines", that is only true for the Mazda 787b. Every other engine was found on the vehicle selected :) If you have any recommendations on what you would like to see, including those 6 cylinder sounds, go ahead and comment them here or on the forums. I'm very open to add user suggested engines.
@@galaxia3491 Understandable. Although imo Forza Horizon 5’s engines and RPM limits are already pretty realistic and unless I’m crazy, even the stock 4 rotor revs higher than it does in your mod. I’m happy that with your mod you can raise the rev limiter, but the mismatch between audible and visual RPM would still be there. It’s just jarring for the gauge cluster to not feel like it matches the sounds. I do have some car engine recommendations. I know all of the best sounding cars from FH5: Subaru WRX STi 2015 (or any other year WRX STi) Toyota Supra 1998 engine (2JZ) Lexus LFA Ford Shelby Mustang GT500 Ferrari F40 competizone Lotus 3-eleven Ferrari 599xx Chevy Nova SS 1969 V8 Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500 1987 (Sport exhaust) Volvo 850R 1997 from FH5 or alternatively Audi Quattro S1 E2 (the group B one) Honda S2000 Nissan R35 Porsche 911 GT3 2021 Honda NSX-R 2005
@@bryanribey These are fair concerns, however you don't need to worry about mismatching. I match each RPM so the only thing "missing" is just those higher RPM values, which I don't need because it doesn't reach that high anyway. This was a personal decision and doesn't effect how the engine will sound. Thanks for the recommendations! Some of those are already in the queue so that's good to see 😁
@@galaxia3491FH3 have some crazy sounds too if you want to check it up. Great mod!
Really impressive work, is that ui also made by you? i love the stock look of the ui, while being way more modern!
Yes indeedy! Both apps you see are made by me and are available on the beamng mods > user interface section. Cheers :)
@@galaxia3491 simply incredible. keep up the amazing work!
maybe try beamXassetto aswell, still nice vid bro
Haha, thanks!
Muito legal!!!
so, i just realizad that no car in beamng can handle the temp that the exotic & super generates
Im going to install this to my server tonight! btw are you taking the sound files from the forza files and modifying them to fit into Beam?
Cool 😎 Nah unfortunately they encrypted the internal files so it's not a raw sound file. But you got the basic idea.
if galaxia made that ui galaxia can make FH4 ui, who else would like a FH4 ui in beamNG Drive?
this is awesome, the real question is will there be engine models for each one?
Thanks! I don't have any experience with modeling, so that would be up to others if they want to go that far. Right now the mod uses the default models on each vehicle.
Welp, lets see how much 0.32 broke it.
this is awesome. any chance you will have a performance index for comparing cars like in forza?
Thanks! Well, this mod at its core is a engine swap mod, so I don't actually provide any preset vehicle configurations. The cars you saw in the video were built right before I made the video ^^
Next we need euro beam simulator ng
This is so good, can the next version get more 4Cyl sounds showed off?
👀
what map is this? the mod sounds awesome keep up the good work!
Thanks! The map is West Coast, USA. One of BeamNG's maps
Does this also change the physics? Cars seem like they have more grip in this video
Nah they were just configured with race tires so that I wouldn't have to worry about spinning out lol. Especially with the covet, I had to put drag tires on the back 😆
where did u get the tacometer?
The pitch of the engines sounds off to me... Too low for the 8000rpm rev limit on the Skyline and M3 I6s for example 🤔
This is something that I come across as well. Some recordings sound more off than others, and the ones that sound far off - I don't include in the mod. I have scrapped many engines already due to these sorts of issues. That's the frustrating part for me, I try to make them sound as best as possible, and sometimes there's nothing I can do about it.
With BeamNG's goofy graphics I can't help but think that the engine sounds come from some background window...
Lmao
what mod gives that gauge? looks sleek
Thanks! It's my mod as well. You can download here: www.beamng.com/resources/beamxforza-tachometer.27390/
No way he got Windows on mac
Ngl I’m not a huge fan of the sounds. I don’t hate them, but they just aren’t for me. Idk they just sound off in my opinion. I feel like forza engine sounds may be exaggerated because it’s more of an “arcade/simulation” racing game than it is realistic. But either way, keep up the good work, there’s clearly people who love what you’re doing and I respect that! Good luck!
Appreciate the honesty! I understand that some of these sounds are a bit unrealistic in nature. It's from Forza after all. But yeah I get what you're saying. If it's something on my end let me know and I'll see what I can do 👌
wait dude where do I know you from?
Judging from the TDU in your name, probably in the TDU server 😉
is it newly updated mod ?
Timing wasn't great so it may not work 100% with the new BeamNG update. I will let y'all know when I get a hotfix out 🥂
Honestly this deserves some head. Not from me though 😪💀 somebody’s daughter forsure 💯
Ayo chill 😂
What is this i dont get it
Lol. Well at the core it's an engine swap mod. You can select my engines for pretty much every car available in the game, and they all come with new sounds.
Hyped to try this out tn 🫶
Update: it's dope as fuck
This made me chuckle 😂 Very glad to hear you enjoy it! 🙏
