Great ride by Peter, everyone has been writing him off, just shows what a great rider he is.
Peter Stuyvensant?
@G54 P18 ך3ך
Stuyven rode perfectly: attacked at the perfect moment, let Kragh Andersen return, started living in his wheel and started his sprint at the right time. Fantastic win
clever with brain
Yeah but let’s be clear, he wouldn’t have won if Kragh hadn’t pulled him the last kilometer.
@@jatojo no but cycling isn't just raw power its tactics aswell and he played it perfectly Bc he knew that mvdp and wva were the strongest.
He didn’t let Andersen return, he was dead and Andersen just hoped that he could hold on for second so dragged him to the line
@@brettbaker3991 Exactly. Stuyven's attack was great, the rest was mainly just luck, but often you need both power and luck to succeed. :) By the way, it's the second time this year that Andersen has handed a classics victory to Trek Segafredo - he reeled in a breakaway at Kuurne, and that helped Mads Pedersen back to the front so he could win the finishing sprint.
Sagan 4th... wow, that's a great performance from him given his recovery.
from what?
@@GeneralArmorus Covid, and a missed month of training, plus a 2020 season that left some questioning if he was past it. Great to see him up there again.
@@GeneralArmorus He had Covid and it hit him a bit more than average it seems. He had to train hard to get his lungs an organs back to where they've been.
And ewan 2nd
@@GeneralArmorus covid
Awesome effort by Sagan. Stupendous of him to finish fourth. I hope he improves and wins some stages this year.
problem was that the attacks on the poggio didnt drop so many riders and especially ewan because no one wanted to lead him out stuyven made the perfect attack well deserved win
Too much wind in favor of the race over there, yesterday
Pidcock followed Stuyven’s winning attack but couldn’t quite close the gap. The guys 21, in his 1st ever monument, after 6.5 hours of racing. MAD
Another cyclocross wonder.
Since when is Strade Bianche not a monument? I thought he was more impressive at Strade. He also was there during the WC 2020, but he couldn’t quite follow the pace back then and now neither - but he’s definitely improving. There’s of course no shame in just missing out on the top if you’re that young.
@@Tim-K. ... since it has only been run since 2007 ... not even 15 years old
@@Tim-K. I agree, Strada Bianchi has become a great race and an important race in less than twenty years. However, "Monuments" in cycling are the famous five races that have been run for over one hundred years, they define the phrase 'classic' and are the blueprint for designing a modern race, such as Strada Bianchi.
@@yorkshirethegreat Strade is concidered the 6th monument by most cyclists/experts.
Smart riding by Jasper. Congrats to him! Everyone's form at very high level. Great spring classics for sure!
Super pleased wit Peter The Great's performance, not gonna lie...
What a ride from Ewan to keep up and look quite comfortable tbh on the climbs, shame he didn't win
Kragh Andersen was basically riding a full leadout for stuyven the last 700m
Yeah, he owes Søren a beer or two.
complete agree 1k full push! perfect launcher XD
Stuyven is not only a great champion. He's also a team player.
How it played out was amazing for the sport. As a MVDP fan I would've loved to see him win, but the fact that the big 3 are defeatable on their own terrain is great. Can't wait for the Belgium classics!
Exciting finish!
great ride by Schachmann again, sadly didn‘t get that good result
He had the legs for sure...
But he showed great teamplay that he decided to be the leadout for Sagan as it was clear that there would be a sprint.
He shouldve brought Stuyven back
He shouldve brought Stuyven back
2ndrwkng Sagan wasn’t even there at this moment - and if Schachmann followed him, WVA and alaphilippe would have attacked too
Awesome race...
God bless LouLou, what a heart! He seems like a rider from other times, driven by passion and instinct.
he hasn’t done something special
@@jonatanleandoer9006 He was the only one to attack on Poggio!!
@@matteorosa947 grazie Matteo, certa gente guarda le gare col culo invece che con gli occhi!
Love cylcling videos just what I need to get it going the blood I love it. I always watch these before I go out and get my body moving. I always watch one of these, and then put up my heavy playlist like Delta Parole, Three Days Grace, System and then I just go haaaaard!!!! Tactic hasnt let me down yet.
This channel is very interesting!
gotta love some MSR!! chapeau jasper
Bom trabalho campeões
Chapeau Jasper
Great ride by Sagan, Great ride by Stuyven and big disapointment for mvdp... I think h was careless in the positioning even before Cipressa and had to put big effort to comeback...not sure what would be its strategy
Sagan super👍👍👍
Mohoric ist the best Winner,a very good Rider ,wit.h very good condition
kragh andersen always works
Stuyven SUPER! Finisseur 👍💯
185 miles! Holy crap!!
kragh andersen always rides
I think everyone was great who had the same time as Stuyven. But why didn't Formolo go with Alaphilippe...? I wanted to see him helping Trentin in the sprint...
Another great ride from Tom Pidcock in his 1st season and 1st MSR
I miss Tim Merlier in MSR
We are an incredible cycling nation 🇧🇪🇧🇪🇧🇪
PETER SAGAN 👍👌👏👏👏
Someone gonna talk how Caleb Ewan finished second?
Nobody remembers second.
@@JC-lu4se We all remember Zabel 2nd in San Remo 2004. ;)
Nice wout 3
We miss Carlton

Ewuan era un gattino attaccato ai maroni.....di Matthew poi WVA
Il gruppetto dietro ha fatto male i calcoli
Those guys are fast as hell...this looks dangerous. Makes me realise how bad a cyclist i am :/
Very boring race.. 300 kilometres and 1 half attack on the Poggio. Why is this called a monument.. Well done to Jasper Stuyven though, deserved winner!
Alex Dowsett did a video on that topic, maybe consider watching it. On of his key arguments is that basically anyone (sprinter, climber,...) can win it!
Not boring at all. Well deserved to be called monument.
It's boring if you don't get the peculiarity of the athletic efforts and tactics that are in the field, and the qualities of those who are making them. I never understand sport fans who want just "entertaninment" as if they are in the circus.
To be fair it's an amazing race.... In the last 20 km, but it is amazing because of the first 280 km that with that length change the dinamics of the race
Its boring because of the modern day racing tactics and the modern day bike racer has communication in his ear from radio from his team car. The element of surprise is gone, years ago a motorbike went back to the chasing group and bunch etc. and gave them a time gap on a small black board. Reading a race for a rider was an actual skill but the riders these days rely on instructions from the team car telling them time gaps and advice. Also breaks hardly ever happen from far out now, they nearly all wait till the end, then the race is over. Go back and look at some of the old Milan san Remo races where guys like Fondriest, Fignon, Kelly, Bugno, Argentin put in a proper attack to win the race, now they just all look at each other and wait till the end. Boring is an accurate description by you.
I love it when the first chasing group does as if they already won and play games and the first guys win because they dont drive full speed at the end And what were ineos doing on that downhill
1:17.... Nah...
Is this why they didn't bring mads pedersen
I think he would have won if he was there. Similar parcour to 2019 World champs
@@willshepherd4698 I put 10 bucks on him a month ago @34/1. Thought he had a really good chance :/
@@willshepherd4698 lol that win was nothing more than a fluke
@@11-inch he'd finished 2nd at tour of flanders in 2018 and has won gent wevelgem and kuurne brussels kuurne since his world champs win which was apparently a fluke
MMM it maybe because he's resting or preparing for Roubaix??? Mentioning Pedersen got me thinking. We are all focused on a whole lot of other riders...yet both Pedersen/Stuyven constantly slip under the radar and are coming up with results. As a duo riding together they are a team within a team. A big call but they are more than likely the most powerful duo on the pro circuit. Both have had a really good start this year. I think we will see either of these two names pop up again a few more times this year. They are not tour contenders....... I've only just recently learnt how young Pedersen is.
We Belgians dominating cycling once more 😎🇧🇪🇧🇪
First comment 😀🏴
And the most irrelevant of all...
And why would care if you're scottish?
28 years old from Flanders? He's Belgian god damn it. Say Belgian. He might be from Flanders but he's Belgian before everything else
Maybe this is not about politics, but just about the fact that Flanders is a very big name/region in the world of cycling and especially one day races... Similarly, they would mention regularly that Landa is from the Basque Country, bc it's a thing in cycling (and not bc anyone leans to ETA or so).
No uit Vlaanderen!
