For 1/3: Now you have glass fibres inside the cabin of your car. Prefect for getting under the skin of whoever touches it! Also, it's an unnecessarily complicated repair process
It's motor cycle...?

Creative, hands down
Actually the combo ABS/PVC plumbing pipe glue with fiberglass is bomb proof. Use the super glue to glue the crack together first then glass and glue the back. Did this with an ABS dash on my pickup and its still holding up 10 years later.
Great repair !! Thanks for your feddback !
Hi, I will buy ABS Cement/Solvent then I will glue the cracked motorcycle fairings and then apply ABS Cement then put fiber glass sheet and then apply the cement again then apply fiber glass again with a total of 2 coatings of fiberglass?
@@wharzenr clean the fairing first with lacquer thinner put on a thin coat of purple pvc primer. put your fiberglass cloth on wax paper spread and coat of the glue on the cloth. Transfer the loaded cloth to fairing and smooth it our with a putty knife. Add more glue to get one good coat and let it dry then apply a few more coats as they become dry.
@@GregariousAntithesis Hi, we don't have purple pvc primer, we only have S-BLUE Solvent Cement for PVC Pipes in the philippines. Is this okay?
@@wharzenr try it on a clean invisible section and see it it sticks good. If its pvc it should work. Most car dashes are made of abs and pvc glue does not work on abs hence why i use the pvc/abs combo glue works on most anything but polyethylene. Not works worth a crap on polyethylene its the slick plastic kayaks are made from and possibly your cowling. Do some research to figure our what kind if plastic it is if its polyethylene you are wasting time and money. Google reaults say ABS which the blue PVC glue will not work on you need either the ABS glue used on the black plumbing pipe or the combo pvc/abs. Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) plastic is commonly used in original equipment sport bikes and certain aftermarket fairing manufacturers due to its strong, flexible and light weight properties. If its fiberglass or carbon fiber your going to want to use fiberglass resin not glue.

Dont waste time with method 1 or 3. If a panel is cracked and the break is clean, sand the inside with course sandpaper. Tape the crack closed on the side facing outward. Then use JB Weld for plastic and place a thin layer over the crack and the immediate area. Place a cut fiberglass mesh on the thin layer and let it set up for a few minutes. Then mix up and another layer of JB Weld and smooth out. Since it's on the underside, it doesn't need to be sanded, just strong. I've done this twice on my my motorcycle on painted parts and in both cases, the break was so clean, even the paint you cannot tell there was a crack unless you are right on top of it.
Gracias por el video te veo desde España (Málaga)

Watching from Canada. I'll have to try this. thx
Thx for watching from Canada !
I did a similar thing once to fix a broken door panel inside my car.... but I didn't have fiberglass, so I used a drier sheet.... Same concept, different material, worked good enough to last a few years till the car was totalled.
Great ! Thx for commenting !
Similar - my bikes mudguard had a large split and had to improvise. I sanded it and used a strip of some old jeans with 2 part epoxy, it's still holding strong.
Gracias amigo. Una pregunta en la parte 3/3 que material es el que usas?

watching from Netherlands, mechatronical eingineer, seen this trick using baking soda, solid as a rock too, but using charcoal on black plastic looks much better for sure, new to me and very useful thanks!!
thanks for watching from Netherlands ! By the way i am retired electrical engineer 👍
@@IdeasYtrucos713It wasn’t clear from the vid, the powder is ground up charcoal? Cool idea, also first time I’ve seen non-woven fiberglass used with superglue. It looks super-strong!
@@johnfoley4023 That would make sense, but it seemed very powdery. I guess it could be dust from sanding though.
Charcoal, ie powdered carbon. It makes a carbon composite with superglue, not as strong as carbon fibre but good for filling voids.
Estoy mirando desde Bogotá, Colombia.😊😊
Hola, muchas gracias por ver desde Colombia !
Hello, watching from North Carolina USA. Local courier delivers small aircraft parts to various airports on east coast. I would mix a little baking soda to the charcoal for the first layer. I liked the melting plastic part.
Thanks for watching from USA !
Can attest that fiberglass and superglue are great for plastic repairs. I have used twice to repair bins on the refrigerator which, when one bottle too many was shoved into the bin, the mounting tabs broke. Used on-hand material versus eighty bucks or more for a new bin. I cut the fiberglass, soaked and fit to the parts which needed joining, added more superglue, let sit, then back in business.

Use was out of pvc pipe glue and wanted to add an extension to my ac drian tube, so I used crazy glue as its not under pressure. A couple years later when the AC A coil was replaced we were taking apart the drain tube and the crazy glue extension wouldnt come apart. I was amazed. Again, dont know how it would work with any pressure in the pipe but it worked well in this case.
Great ! Thx for the comment !

If you sprinkle a bit of baking powder onto the superglue, will make it cure faster, just thought I'd say; Perhaps mix the charcoal and some baking power, for color and curing properties (?). Just be careful, the baking powder does make a catalyst reaction, so heats up somewhat
Great tip ! Thanks for watching !
Water moisture is the catalyst you can mist it too.
Abrazo hermano Argentino. !!
gracias. País pobre, aunque no lo creas
