Yes actually. For as uncomfortable and unsettling as Car Kirby looks, The Kirby Twitter actually showed he had some pretty cute idle animations. Despite the fact that Kirby *SHOULD* be choking on a half eaten car, he actually seems to be just a chipper and happy in this form
Even if the mechanics feel similar to previous Kirby games the fact that this is in a 3D environment will make it feel so original. Plus mouthful mode is just plain hilarious how can you not like it

This game looks so innocent and adorable... The finale and the final boss will be probably one of the darkest in the series!

I LOVE HOW YOU CAN UPGRADE ABILITIES! I also love how there are legendary upgrades, dragon fire looks SO cool! Im excited to see the other legendary upgrades! And mouthful mode seems like a cool and unique feature, i bet there are other forms we havent seen yet. There is still alot of things that werent shown and im excited to see them!

The only new thing is the mouthful gimic. Everything else is taken from other games it seems.
Every new game since return to dreamland had some sort of new gimmick. Returns to dreamland had the powered up super abilities, triple deluxe had the ultra suck, planet robo bot had the mechs, and star Allies had the team up abilities. This game has the Kirby becomes the hat modes, instead of getting the hats

This is a wonderful take for Kirby. Abilities that can be upgraded, quirky brief power-ups, a main hub world of sorts that gets unlocks as you progress and all that with cute and pitoresque visuals as well as interesting character designs. This feels like the 3D World/Odyssey of the franchise. Absolute buy!
For me, it feels like Balan Wonderland, and we all know how that game went...
@@xbenas But other than that game, HAL knows how to distribute buttons. The whole problematic with Balan's game was that they tried to extremely simplify and double-map button functions. There were also way, way too many transformations, some with the same or no proper function even. The Kirby franchise did build on that mechanic since Kirby's Adventure on the NES. I don't think anybody really needs to worry about them suddenly forgetting how to build their gameplay around something they have been using in a dedicated 2D-platforming franchise just because they are in a 3D environment now.

@@user-account-not-found Ah, there are surely already people who will notice the enjoyable aspects of such takes for that (mostly already rather solid) platformer franchise. I bet somebody like Nitrorad will review Kirby when he notices that the pink Puffball has ventured into 3D. I'd be also happy to see the Yoshi games try something new and go onto a grander quest , possibly going into the same new dimensions outside 2.5D. Not saying that Yoshi's Woolly World or Crafted World weren't with cute ideas but to me at least the original Yoshi's Island felt special in terms of boss and level designs.

I really love how 1: they brought back the scrolls from Squeak Squad in a slightly different way with hats too (REALLY hoping that this implies sleep will at least get a fighting stance in some way with this that's exactly like, if not better than Battle Royale) And 2: that they finally bring back the elastic properties Kirby have just like Kirby's DreamLand 3 and even the anime (plus I like to think that while Kirby is just stuck on top of the car, Elfilin is just panicking trying to drive a car without being able to see through the windows 🤣)
I'm looking at the trailer for the upgrades and all I could think of was how most of the upgrades were either utilized from previous Kirby games or all the fighter series games we've been getting.

My most desired feature to return from Squeak Squad is definitely spray paints, though I highly doubt they'll bring the concept back due to some silly branding reasons. YES we know, Kirby's pink, but I WANT to paint him green, is that so wrong? Or maybe just that it wasn't what they had planned for this entry, but still.

I definitely remember that ability. It is reminiscent of the Needle + Needle from Kirby 64. The stinger, cactus, and corkscrew parts gave it away.
Also I’m pretty sure this is the first game since 64 where kirby spits enemies out as themselves rather than star bullets.
The Fire Upgrade is also from 64, in 64 the Fire + Fire combination was a Fire Dragon.

The lore implications are interesting. The world looks like it was abandoned and inhabited by humans, or the Kirby universe equivalent, but Shiverstar from Kirby 64 was also like that, all-be-it with the theme of eternal winter. Maybe humans in the world already discovered space travel and terraformation and inhabited both, but at the hands of, and let‘s not kid ourselves here, NUMEROUS universe threatening beings in the Kirby universe, had to leave. Also, the grime, rust and general age on the terrain and objects kinda gives it a rural, relaxed feel, like driving across the country side seeing abandoned things being taken over by the fauna.
That's a lot of thought put into a pink blob that eats things.

What a happy and cheerful trailer, for a game that take place in an abandoned and destroyed world that eerily resembles the real life we’re currently living in, even more than Shiver Star from Kirby 64, and also featured a dark story about a very hostile, and also tormented psychic portal opening alien entity who got captured into a laboratory and being experimented on and shown as a tourist attraction by the natives of the land (which probably isn’t humans) , and also featured the most horrifying boss in Kirby games, Fecto Forgo. So horrifying this game get a “Fear” rating because of it. Not that it’s a bad thing, but it is very interesting.
Kirby's canonical size is 8 inches tall, however the car he's stuffing in his mouth is a Fiat 500. At 1:06 we can see he comes up to the height of one of the tires. This mean that Kirby is about the height of a Fiat 500's tire, or about 15 inches.

Kirby was probably the first platformer I played, this really is going to be amazing
For me it was Mario. I never played a Kirby game until Kirby's Air Ride. That would forever be the only Kirby game I've played until the Switch where I played the Kirby games included with the virtual console. I don't know Kirby just never completely caught my interest even though I love the little puffball. This game however has my full interest and intrigue.

it would be interesting if the waddle dee captives werent entirely connected to progressing the game, like a form of side quests. Saving enough will get you what you need, but doing more can unlock other things and maybe secrets.
The game is incredible perfect in many aspects, beautiful, camera, difficulty. I think that, on the other hand, there could be a DLC that could be a little more difficult, even though I found the difficulty of this one to be calm and relaxing.

Very exciting stuff, especially upgrading the copy abilities. Looks like Kirby's games are slowly getting more RPG elements added to them; Waddle Dee Town is like Kirby meets Suikoden to a degree. I hope he gets a true RPG of his own one day.

Plus it only has four job classes, so there isn't much variety beyond being a giant boss battle extravaganza. I was thinking of more turn-based stuff with an original story and everything that makes an RPG solid.

They really are stretching what Kirby can do and use for his abilities. It's really creative on how they can implement in these things without it just being standard Kirby swallow abilities.

damn this feels like the actual follow up to Planet Robobot. Not that Star Allies was bad, it was just not at all an evolution from fantastic previous entries, Triple Delux and Planet Robobot.

@@gianlucaturner7263 Definitely Bonkers, but I don't think Bugzzy's in although that would be cool. Suplex isn't an ability in the game. According to the wiki there's an unnamed ballerina goose midboss or something, probably gives Tornado. I haven't been able to find it anywhere though.

Mouthful mode. I am completely surprised, evolutions to classic copy abilities and so much more. And at least we knows how Kirby got to this forgotten land. Kirby seems to be getting more stronger and stronger with more moves and abilities in his arsenal. Mouthful mode, evolutions to copy abilities, etc. I’m so happy and excited for this game. And can we just talk about the cutscenes?
They're going all in on making Kirby as crazy and fun and varied as they can, while in a 3D setting. I'm incredibly happy about this. I also wish I hadn't seen this, because it's so good, but it's so much that I've now seen and won't see for the first time playing the game.

@@ninetailedfox579121 I sooooo hope this leads up to Kirby Air Ride 2 too! Although it probably wouldn't be the same. Air Ride was the last Kirby game Sakurai directed and it's been Kumazaki ever since.
