#Restoration
Great video, but someone who don't fully understand every detail of what you are doing be great if their was so writing on the side on each part of the restoration
So I think first you removed rust with oxalic acid, sand blast the cover, put a wood form in and cover with a resin (bondo) substance, sand and spray with a conductive paint so you can lay down a layer of copper plate. Then you sand paint and sand many more times. What is the purpose of the copper plating? To give it more strength? Also, I actually kind of like the look of the scabbard after the rust is removed. Maybe another time a clear resin coat to reveal the original pitted metal and/or maybe not sand blasting so you don't remove as much metal and use a rust converter.
Me: No way he can restore this WWII Tube: Hold my bayonet
Nice job 👍

Belo trabalho. 👍🏼👏🏼🙂
Bravo! 👍
Wow super ❤💙👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Very nice job! say, what do you do with your restored items? you collect yourself aswell?
Bravo!!!
Nice
Great job. I would love to know in detail what products you use, and how long each step takes. Especially with the oxalic acid (referring to your Heer SD helmet). The result looks stunning and I’ve not been able to get results as fine-tuned as yours. Would help so much to know your process. What’s the stuff you smear over it at the end? And what’s that toilet cleaning-ish stuff and what purpose does it have? Even just a ‘laundry list’ in the description would help a ton
Lijkt me ook leuk om te weten
Great Job. ;0)) Grüßle
That was totally awesome your very talented thanks for another great repair !! PS- can I buy one of them
how many old collectibles? can it be resold after repair?
One more subscriber 👏👏👏👏
You should try Evoporust next time.
Evoporust is a very expensive chemistry for these purposes. I use citric acid. Usually it is free))
Klasse
Very nice job, i have one of these plus bayonet, fortunately, mine is in good condition, but i don't have the frog, however i also have the rifle, i'm impressed by your skills. Tony from Australia.
Thanks! I'm glad you liked it.
good jobb
Zajebiście.
What would u use to restore part leather part metal scabbard?
epic
How many Bayonet Scabbard do you have ?!!🤔🤔🤔
pintura en aerosol? pfffff que horrendo
Some things, especially war items, are worth more before they were restored, you broke the inside piece from the acidic liquid, and now it doesn’t have the original part
Does rust remover damage it? You never use rust remover. That’s why I’m asking.
I use citric acid instead of rust remover. Evapo-Rust is very expensive but the result is the same.
First one here I think?
You lucky b..... ;-) I guess I had that only one time in my yt viewer "career". All the best! :-)
