It's fun how the imanari roll was everything to casual viewers for about 6 months and then suddenly it essentially disappeared. I assume because if how easy it is to read. And obviously it's still completely legit. It's just interesting.

Im a big 10th planet guy even tho I train at a Relson Gracie school, and your game is really my favorite kind of style. You are one of the most creative guys I have seen. The Imanari Roll works in MMA, I can only assume it would from seated also
feel like someone might drop elbow me with that but seems like a weird ass move to pull on anyone, so it should confuse the opponent

Imanari got away with it because people weren't prepared. Marcin Held lost a fight with Damir Hadzovic that he was winning because he tried opening the round with one of these rolls, only to be met with a knee to the face.

You can, but it's a bit more tricky. The right foot should stay on the hip, and instead of heel hook do an Achilles lock. I'm a white belt and try it all the time. I never get it right and usually spin out of control, but some of this days...
then dont do ibjjf ... if your wanting to do iminari rolls you might as well just hit the sub onlys
