Dua Lipa came by to talk about her new album Radical Optimism and the creative process behind it!
Dua Lipa broke out with her massive hit "New Rules," which gave women and girls everywhere an anthem to move on from an ex. The song is from her 2017 self-titled debut album, which also features her platinum single "IDGAF." Her second album “Future Nostalgia” (2020) was released to positive reception and went on to win the Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album in 2021. Zach sat down with Dua to discuss her upcoming third album “Radical Optimism”, the album's behind-the-scenes process, her red hair era, and more!

Dua’s voice sounds more down to earth and relaxed in this interview. Anytime I hear her anywhere anywhere else she’s always had this big powerful British accent. It’s nice to hear both honestly.

Manifestation is the energy you are putting out while working on it. manifestation it not just saying it and being in bed doing nothing about it. The energy has to be met. She worked hard to be where she at, and that is one of the reasons why manifestation became real for her, she believed in herself and put in the work for it.

YES!!!! That's precisely how manifestation works! I don't understand why the spiritual and "new age" community have such a skewed definition of it. Manifestation is setting an intention or goal and then co creating with the universe, and energies at be, to achieve it. You have to still do your part by putting in equal energy and effort to manifest what you're wanting.
Repeating it all like a mantra is exactly what I think when listening to Dua's new songs.

I’m looking forward to this album so much & I have it pre saved. I’m absolutely obsessed with ‘illusion’ to me it’s the best track from the 3 releases & that music video is the best we’ve gotten in modern pop in a looooong time. I can also hear Kevin Parker’s influence especially towards the end of the track & I’m hoping for more. I’m seriously so happy he worked with Dua, Aussies & the English always get along. I just know it’s about be Radically FIRE ❤️🔥 I’m feeling Optimistic about this 💙🩵💦

Zach, generally i love your shows. I'm so use to seeing Fletcher, and boy is she funny and so real. Right now though, i'm over the moon seeing my favorite Pop Artist sitting and having a conversation with you. Dua Lipa just does it for me. I believe she's a perfectionist. I know this too, she's just damn good at whatever she does. Her voice soothes me and puts me to sleeep. Knowing that she walks on this earth just lifts me. That voice of hers is for me, special, like a Whitney Houston, but respectfully hers, and hers alone. I love most about her that she practices what she preaches. For someone so young and female, she is so ahead of her years. I just constantly thank God for her, and the great energy she pushes out into this unstable world. Just like her, Radical Optimizum will be well received, and a outstanding piece of work.❤❤
