  • Yes, it is a great joy to see them born and play ...I was only ten when I did the same with chicken. I did not build an elaborate incubator. I just cushioned them with cootonwool and covered with a soft blanket and kept it in a warm place. I spread a squared white cloth on the floor and put some Molasses (raw sugar) in the middle and let them loose. It was quite fun to see them eating ants and catching flies, even jumping to catch. In the garden I saw them jumping and catching aphids.

  • Thank you for this idea, built mine with out the egg turner. The power went out but because I had this as a back up I was able to hatch out six healthy ducklings.

  • I loved how all the ducks didn't target any one of their particular siblings and all treated each other as brothers and sisters. This is NOT what happened in the Ugly Duckling fairy tale. I also want to hug one of those cute harmless ducklets too
