This is a thorough breakdown of how to tear down your front hub, brake and knuckle on your toyota, same for many other 4x4's as well. Check my other video for re-intsallation of the same parts.
That was the most work i've ever seen done on an axel and i just rebuilt my 3.1l engine, great job ..

Wow you make it look so easy. Without a doubt that is the most unique front axel design Ive evet seen. I have an opportunity to rebuild one and save my neighbor. The bolts sheared off in the housing. But From your video looks like I could break it down and put the housing in my vice. If they wont budge $299 buys a good one. Only difference is the full time 4x4 hub. Nice Job fast moving getterdone drink imaginary beers;-)

Oh Mate, I've always had cruisers, bought my first when I was 16 and have owned about 30 since, everything from FJ40's, to BJ60's, HDJ81's, HZJ73, 79, BJ74's, UZJ's, lots of em! No heeps for me!

@littlehplayer Use grease int eh knuckles, if you have gear oil in there now it is because your axle seal is bad. Thanks for watching!

A very helpful video and tutorial - Thank you from Australia...(our 6th '60 series' we just drove it over 500 kilometres with the rear differential removed after the pinion nut let go and destroyed the bearing!..All rebuilt thanks to your help...with no noise)

what size socket do you need on the first nut ? iam about to do mine and iam preaty sure i do not have a socket that big.

@lshobie it does mean that. haha i habe a question though. i cant seem to find my c clip and it seems like theres a plate attatched tot the adjusting bolt that is stopping me from removing that holder

when u losen the nut what size is the socket u use? think i need to look at my bearing..the truck is puloing to the left i have to hold the steering wheel to the right bout 1/8 in.. i have changed everthing . the caliper was hanging up so i changed it..only thing left to change is the bearing .steering box or tires..if any one has a clue let me know ..thanks.

you forgot to crack open the bleeder screw, now you pressed the fluid up to the booster.
@justknight696 The C clip is up tight against the hub - clean the grease off well with a rag and you will see the notch in the clip. What plate and adjusting bolt are you talking about? Got a pic? send it to me at Lshobie at yahoo dot com

Pressed in bearings?....not on 1990 models. Maybe on the 100 series cruisers in 1998 and newer though. Maybe you are mixed up and confusing Cruiser with 4Runner or Pickup because the 86~1995 4runners/trucks DID have the pressed in bearings with the very much different IFS front end. This vid is very good....I can tell it's from an FJ80 of the 1990~1997 era because of the coil springs and high pinion 8" front diff. This vid is also useful for the 1979~1985 Toyota mini-trucks....the older 1980~1989 FJ60/62....and even the older yet FJ40's. ZUK
