He seems like such a sweet boy! I don’t know why no one would want him!

"I emulsified that shampoo into him, and I let him sit for 10 minutes" that literally sounds exactly like a cooking video
Sometimes you just gotta marinate a chicken nugget
Sounds like a carpet cleaning video, of which, I have seen an embarrassing amount on here.
This shampoo properly does contain some short of emulsified oil/fat,people with skin conditions are prescribed these to put in the bath,in place of useing soap. Porridge oats apparently works as well,(hence 'girl with the dogs' oatmeal conditioning shampoo). You put a handful of fresh, uncooked oatmeal/oats in one leg of an old pair of tights/pantyhoses, tie into a ball, and use it to wash with.

I can’t believe nobody wanted him. He’s such a handsome boi.
I know! I would have swooped him up in a heartbeat!! Wtf is wrong with people???
He's handsome /now/ that she's invested all this time into his treatment. I had a Boxer stray who had demodetic mange - not contagious, thank goodness - but if I slacked on her shampoo treatment at all, her hair would thin up again immediately. She was gorgeous with her coat in.
Fearful dogs often have behavioral issues and health problems can be expensive. Melvin requires a higher level of care than many people could provide so it makes sense it took a moment to be adopted. Its a humane choice not accept an animal you can’t really take care of. But I am so happy he has a forever home!
More goes into adopting than just looking at how handsome the doggo is. This dog has special needs and I’m glad a family didn’t take him that didn’t know how to handle his skin problem.
You gotta consider some people don’t have time to take care of dogs that need more attention than usual. It’s a good thing Melvin was adopted by someone who knows exactly how to care for him and not the opposite.
"He doesnt like the vibration on his paws" the way you Know and study each of these fluffy bundles of love is just... amazing honestly
such attention to detail in the grooming, the personality, etc. makes her a superior groomer and friend to her clients with paws.
To be fair... he is her dog - not just a client
Damn, you are literally the best person for Melvin to have been adopted by considering his skin condition. He’s so lucky to have found you.

For a dog with alopecia, his fur seems to be in pretty good condition. That medicated shampoo must be pretty good stuff.

Yeah, I wish my husband (if I had one) would put me in one of those huge stainless steel tubs & give me a nice lathering with "funk be gone puppy fufu , smelly good elixer." 😆😁🥰🤩😍
No i don't think so because in 0:46 you can see that Melvin is shivering! So I assume that he was afraid of taking this bath 🛀 my dog also shivers when she is taking a bathing like the husky from the other episode she starts yelling or like the nice lady on this channel said "she is singing the song of her people" xD so what I'm trying too say is... I don't think that the most dogs enjoying baths! I think it's more like that dogs are afraid because of the warm water that goes over there body and the fact that they are forced too stay in the bath tub! Maybe there are dogs how like bathing and jump in the tub but also... i have much dogs in my family and have a podenco german Shepard mix and all dogs are afraid of baths! They try too escape out of the tub ... that was my experience of bathing dogs 🐶

I've watched like 50 of these darn videos over the last week. I have no idea where they came from. The algorithm just blessed me one day and I was hooked like crack. I realized this morning I wasn't subscribed. So I subscribed. Immediately afterwards I was like, 'I literally just subscribed to a channel that's all about dog grooming.' ...life is a trip, I swear. It really is all about the journey, and the channels you sub to along the way.

Now that you've got merchandise, Melvin absolutely must appear on some of it. He is so cute it hurts. :D
Agree. Darn cute Pom!
Melvin has officially earned the title of 'Cutest Chicken Wing Ever'!
Melvin already vibrates enough on his own, no clippers needed.
"He's very good and doesn't move while I trim out his paw pads" What you don't know is he's fighting with all his might, he's just tiny.

oh boy tiny dogs are EVIL
He trusts Mommy, even when nervous. Such a sweet baby, and such a loving doggy mom! ❤️
the blow dryer around 2:39 makes it look like melvin is shimmying his shoulders 🥺💖

Just a small, shivering, ball of a fluffy cloud. Love him.
I love how tiny and shy he looks in the corner while the lady grooms a Newfoundland in another video. 😂💖
After that blow dry, you would never know he had a hair loss condition! What an adorable little cotton puff!
Melvin's happy hoodie face is tough to beat. Number one spot for cuteness, smallness, and derp.
Melvin is so brave, you can see he wants to be doing anything else rather than being groomed but he’s so well behaved.
When they are blow drying the dogs and they have that thing around their head, is it just me or do they look like russian grandmas?

Before she said it was her dog I was shook. "A bath once a week at the groomers would rack up a pretty penny." But ig not if you're the groomer. 😋
That is why she is the best possible parent for him because she can give him the attention he needs
I used to work on a 14 year old pomeranian with alopecia that got a bath from me twice a week, a trip on his chest, booty and feet every two weeks and went to a special dermatologist who used to flush his ears, treat his constant ear infection, and treat his hot spots once a week. He looked like a hot mess. But he was the best cared for little dog I think I've ever had the pleasure of working on. I still get emotional when I think of him passing on. His momma gave me a gift basket and bouquet of flowers and thanked me for caring about him so much. RIP Ollie.
Well, she is a groomer herself, so adopting him herself would mean she got to groom him professionally without paying a single dime. So yeah, she was the best person to adopt him.
My daughter has a dog big as a small horse. She bathes him in garden tub...lol. and I trim him up between biannual cuts. You learn.
Although she's losing the money she could have earned grooming someone else's dog in that time. So it's not like she isn't sacrificing anything to be Melvin's mom.
OMG Tiny, tiny polar bear face melts your heart! I had a Chinese Crested Powderpuff with a horrible heart condition and the same skin problems. He lived to be 15 yrs old, well above his breeds' average. Love and miss my little man every day.
Melvin is the sweetest most handsome little nugget ever 😭 I could just cuddle and kiss him all day long. Such a good boy! I will fight anyone who tries to tell Melvin he’s anything but handsome and perfect 😤
Even though he is a nervous little guy he obviously loves and trusts his momma ❤️ I'm so happy they have each other.
I didn't even realize how thin his hair was until the end. It seems like you are taking such good care of him, I'm happy you found each other
The thinning spot makes him look like he's pink.
reminds me of the 4 lb Maltese I lost recently. He lived his first 2 years in a cage, and had no 'dog skills'. He suffered from severe anxiety, and although it did improve, he was always extremely anxious for all his 16 years. RIP Mister.
I'm glad you were able to give them a loving home and help them even if it was only a little.
Awwww
I'm sorry you lost your fur-baby, but it sounds like his last years were a whole lot more pleasant than his first years. Hug.
That sounds a lot like my dad's sheltie. Logan spent the first year of his life in a barn with several other dogs, and came out afraid of everything. He's five now, and still terrified of most men, cars, nail trimming, etc. He lives a much better life now, even if he does get anxious and crash into furniture sometimes. He will always be anxious, but he sits under my dad's desk most of the day and follows him everywhere to feel safe. He isn't very smart, but he knows he is loved.
None of my feral cats whine like this. #CatLivesMatter

My first Pom was pure white, I named him Spartacus because he was a little man against the world. Melvin looks great even with the alopecia, glad you found him.
