Perfect, just made coffee :)
Coffee time = 1hr ETE! You are good to go!
Well if the co-pilot is still in the learning mode, Steve-O is the best man out there to teach flying the TBM850. His confidence, competence, and calmness are unmatchable!
I do believe the term "co-pilot" was used as a euphemism, similar to riding shotgun, where they don't let you actually have a shotgun. The clues: not many trips logged in a smaller GA aircraft. A co-pilot (or FO) would have handled the radio, automatically scanned "his side" as they crossed an active runway, would have scanned for the pattern traffic while SteveO was "head down" monitoring the gear status and flap status. I'm going with just a passenger. But, he probably did learn a few things about aviating while riding shotgun.
Steveo is the man indeed!
I like the way you talk through your flights in your videos. It helps us hear all the things you're thinking about and looking at as you fly. It's like we're hearing a pilot's brain out loud.
I’m in training, but I talk through everything, and it drove one of my instructors nuts, I’m like, you don’t like hearing me verbally check off and go through the process, and give you that confirmation of what I know and what I don’t ? You’d think that would be a great help to an instructor, but oh well, I got a different instructor who is a better fit and likes how I walk through and verbally confirm what I’m doing and checking off, i am gonna keep training and doing what works
I admire the complete confidence to end IFR following to VFR when VFR makes more sense. Fun to watch.
I wonder how many cameras Steve-O goes through in a year. He’s always leaving them at the airport after he boards…🤣
Perry is where I am doing my flight training. It is cool to see my daily sights in your videos. Thanks Steveo.
Steveo is a master of flight detail and thoroughness! Awesome pilot!
I think the most hectic part of my flight school training once solo was to attempt to visualize the announcing flights in and around an airport that i wasn’t familiar with. There’s a big trust factor in all of the other pilots in the pattern , that they are doing the same for me as I enter their airspace. Cool, calm, collected. Well done!
Great start to my year 2022 seeing your video pop up in my mail. Thanks for the enjoyment. And safe travels.
Happy New Year Mike!
Been to Perry lots. Though haven’t flown there. When my son was young and we lived in Atlanta we’d go to Peachtree Dekalb so he could watch the planes. Enjoy your videos.
Very much appreciate the commentary and explaining the what and why you’re doing what you’re doing along the way.
Hi, Steveo. Nice to fly with you again. Thanks for sharing! Stay Healthy!
Sitting right chair with SteveO would be a bucket list item for me.
Thanks, Steveo, for putting out the content. Been watching for years. And still enjoy it. Keep at it for us, for those of us who can’t fly.
Perry looked like a nice little airport. Thanks for taking us along Steveo
I bought myself an iPad mount !!! With your discount, thank you man. And I'm from Russia.
Stevo, Happy New Year! Enjoyed your flight this morning. Thanks for Sharing!
Wow the TBM 850 is a awesome plane! Due to a medical condition I am only allowed to fly with a sporty license so I fly the Cessna 162. Your TBM throws my sky catcher out of the water!
Flying is flying love and enjoy every moment of that little plane.
@@MrSixstring2k :) definitely do love my skycatcher.
I’m new to watching flight videos and know nothing about flying, what is a sporty license? For some reason I’m hooked on these videos.
@@lovestogarden3132 a sporty pilot license is a license that requires less training, restrictions to aircraft, weight, and speed. With the license you only fly VFR, your speed will be 120 knots or less, below 10,000ft. Because of restrictions most health conditions are fine. A private pilot license requires a 3rd class med cert which I didn't qualify for so I got a sporty instead. I love it
@@kc135_lover Thank you so much for such a detailed reply. I’ve been watching a few flying channels and it looks amazing to be able to fly an airplane.
Always a great Friday treat when there is a new video!
Another Awesome, Informative flight Steveo! Love It!
Thanks for bringing us along for the ride SteveO!
Always fun to see a break out. Thank you for the video. Take care - be safe.
It was good to see you and fly with you. Damn good flight, damn good pilot!
Lovely short flight steveo, always a joy to watch
Always enjoy your videos Steveo, I grew up flying with the analog stuff so it is really cool to see the newer instruments/technology in your TBM ! thanks 🛩🛩
Thanks steveo, just had to stop my flight learning, hope i could return and complete it in the future. Allways a delight seeing your videos!
I love that airplane and I love the way you fly it Steveo. Thanks.
Thanks for taking us along. Great video as usual.
Steveo's narration was on point! Excellent flying.
Great flying, thanks Steveo 🤙
Great video Steve-o!!!! Love watching your videos
Nice video SteveO, I really liked the shots of Perry airport. Thanks for all the hard work.
I love watching that TBM engine start-up.
Been missing your videos. Glad to be on board with you again. Do enjoy your flights ✈ 🙂 😉
Great to see your channel content again. Stay safe and God speed!
Was a real treat to see the entire flight! Especially with all the transitions (controlled to un-controlled, IMC to VMC, IFR to VFR). For a while there I thought that controller was never going to let you down or turn you towards the approach! Had to laugh when you broke out and the field was already zooming past on your left. Thanks Steve-o and Happy New Year!
Steve-o, enjoy every flight with your continual comments. Most informative! Thank you!
Thanks for the ride-a-long on the short flight down to Perry County, SteveO. Always a 👍🏼 from my end! 😎
Steve-o, you were in my neck of the woods again. I drive by PDK everyday on my work commute. Happy New Year!
Great video again! Watching from Germany. And keep them vids coming, also with x-country and international flights again. I practice to be as composed and relaxed when flying as you are, still working on it.
Another great flight! Thanks, Steve-O!
Another time perfect job watching from France since long time ago.I learn a lot of the details of the conversations to fly in Europe. One word Thanks🙏
Thanks for all you do for the aviation world. Your videos give us a positive perspective of what it’s like flying a turboprop. I’m retired but tow banners part time in a Pawnee (loved the pic) I also own the Baby TBM (TB20GT). I just upgraded the panel with GI-275’s and a GTN750XI to finally start my instrument training. You make the transition a little easier by observing your flow in the cockpit and the phraseology should sound. Keep ‘em coming!
Yes. Friday morning flight vlog. Thanks dude 🤙
Welcome Justin, thanks Steveo. I watch these videos to help me relax after work. Sometimes do the routes in MSFS2020. Bless you keep safe.
Love flying on flight sim! I currently fly the Flybywire A320n the most which is a lot of fun.
@@steveo1kinevo I also use the FBW A320 with SLC (self loading cargo) addon...my poor passengers :P
Amazing as always.
I love how clean your aircraft and gauges are .
I love Steveo’s videos they’re so entertaining, Fun to Watch and you can definitely learn a lot of things about Aviation and Learn about the TBM-850 from him, he’s a natural born Pilot. 👨✈️👨✈️👨✈️👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👀👀👀
Nice flight. Thanks for taking us along!
Watching from Houston KDWH Been a fan for quite some time Steveo. It's always fun to take a Newby for a flight. Well done as always.
Cool to see you and the TBM flying around my old stomping ground! I started my flight training nearby at WRB years ago and PXE was the usual place for early pattern work, since it got us away from the C5, C17, C130, and F15 traffic there at WRB. So, with the other flight training outfits that used PXE as well, it wasn’t unusual for the PXE pattern and the nearby practice area to be full of fledgling flyers.
What really gets me is all the switches to flip in the TBM850 prior to the introduction of the Garmin glass panel in it! So many switches to flip!
Happy New Year Steveo, Thank you for the Video may you have an awesome 2022
Happy New Year bud! 👍🏼
Always great flying great job on the video thanks….
Can never get enough of those shots coming out of the cloud layers!
Seems like it's been a while, happy to see you. This is great stuff. Thx.
Great video! Fantastic scenery.
Great video steveo! I am about to start my flight training at Perry Air! Safe flying brother.
Talk about curb service. You guys get the treatment upon arrival. Cool. Great flight and instruction is spot on. Very nice aircraft that you fly.
I really enjoyed flying along with you. Take care!
Nicely done Steveo!
Steve you are a real professional.. buttery landing too
Hey you came down to Atlanta looking forward to this one I'm usually used to seeing you down in Florida but coming up to my side of the territory got to be freaking awesome!!!!!! Looking forward to seeing this one Steve your biggest fan AL2SmoothTheMountainBiker
My first solo was at Perry in 1994. Thanks for the memories!
Good morning from Minnesota!! Great little IFR flight!
I’ve been to the Peachtree airport they have a nice restaurant there with a P51 on display in front of it! Flying in the soup. Nice smooth flight!
Thanks for a new video, Steveo1
As a VFR pilot, I love the plates overlay. Keep up the great videos...
Welcome Justin...Excellent video as usually Steveo..You always do a good job staying ahead of flight...great monitoring and change of plans due the the monitoring 👍..Say Hi 👋 to Reggie (Another passenger familiar with on your flights) Hope he is doing well..Take care Steveo..Say hi to your Dad too ..hope you two are enjoying the camper..
Steveo !! Glad to see that you visited Perry. I live about 6 miles from the airport. Wish I knew you were coming in, I would have loved to have watched you land and say hi!!
Thanks for the ride
You always make it look so easy!
When working at the Dalton Ga airport back in the late 90s. One of the mechanics and I would fly down to PDK to our 100$ hamburgers.. Pull right up to the restaurant in his 1954 Vtail. So much fun.
You talking about the downwind?
I like the overlayed arrows on the approach plate.
As always Great Video SteveO !!!!!
Oh man, I have to ride in the back seat today since you have a copilot. 😉 That's ok, always a pleasure to fly along with ya.
Hi Steveo. Another "smashing" video. And as usual, your editing rocks. Happy landings from Portugal "buddy'.
I enjoy your videos Steve, thank you
what a beautiful airport!!!
Thank you for these videos- and the discount codes- Put a pivot mini 6 case on preorder along with the kneeboard attachment! Keep making these amazing videos!
Very nice flight, Steveo. Perry can be proud of its nice FBO. (Will have to TBM/SIM this one within XP. Also haven’t been into Perry GA.) Thanks!
Another great Flight Thank You
Awesome video Stevo, Passed my Instrument checkride since the last video.
great vlog steve o
Peachtree Dekalb is a great airport! Thanks for the video!
It’s always fun to fly with you. Thanks
Love your videos, esp. your openings!
…I learn SO MUCH watching Stevo
Flying is my passion. My grandparents that live in Panama City used to have a seaplane business from 1995 to 2009. They had to sell it because my grandfather who was the pilot had a heart attack and the doctor said he couldn't fly anymore. He was heartbroken about it.
I love this plane, I love having both, my traditional analog gauges/instruments, along with a gps screen. I like the best of both worlds, when it comes to smaller planes I’m not a huge fan of full glass cockpit.
My former home base airport! Fun fact @8:48 off the right wing: that large empty lot is a former GM plant (Doraville) where they made every brand of a GM car except Cadillac since 1947. Another fun fact: PDK is a former US Navy Reserve base, and Pat Epps, an FBO owner there spearheaded an expedition to Greenland to find an ice buried P-38 fighter from the "Lost Squadron." He used to fly aerobatics in his F33 Bonanza and Learjet 24 at airshows there.
Stevo, I've been watching your videos for years and I believe this is the first time you've mentioned anything about a "co-worker" in a way that might suggest he is also a pilot (?). Your conversation with Justin also implies his flying experience is in "larger" aircraft. Are you contemplating a career change in the near future? I hope you will continue to publish these vlogs regardless of what happens. As always, great video and many thanks for taking us up with you.
Happy New Year, stay healthy.
very well done as usual
Steve you are great at detail. I would feel very comfortable flying with you. Any pilot who takes their time with even the smallest detail will most always catch those little details that could become a big problem. When I was in the Air Force, I flew a lot with flight crews. In 2013 I got to fly in a lear jet to Las Vegas from San Francisco. That was a thrill. If you ever need a flying partner I will volunteer. Thanks for a great flight.
Excellent video Steveo!
I stopped the video once in awhile to bring up approach charts on my own so I could follow along with each fix you used. It was more instructive that way. Also used low charts. I fly a much less complicated plane: Mooney M20C
Oh hey you're in Atlanta! When are we getting more videos with Mindy? It's been too long. Bring back Mindy! :)
Pretty cool when your two favorite You Tube aviators follow each other on take off!
when you are famous you never know who you will run into. Keep up the vids Stevo.
