AFC Ajax Amsterdam deserves all respect. They lose their best players every year. But because of their great youth education, they surprise every time. If Ajax didn't have to sell their players for 4 years. They would win all the prizes. Deep respect for Ajax Amsterdam.
Its a combination of a good youth education and a good buying and selling policy. Players like Mazraoui, Timber, Gravenbergh come from the own youth academy and players like Martinez, Alvarez, Berghuis, Antony, Haller are bought by technical manager Marc Overmars. Overmars could buy this players because he sold former Ajax players like Matthijs De Ligt, Frenkie De Jong, Ziyech, Donny Van De Beek, etcetera for huge money.

In my dark and lonely childhood, when I was 11 years old, i lived in a childrens home nearby and I went to school just a few hundred meters from from the stadium. They won everything that year. And I remember people crying of joy after winning the world cup. That day, I will never forget. The energy and joy in the city was insane. Ajax became the light I needed. And I'm always thankful for that. Ajax is in my heart forever.

The essential thing to notice about Ajax's performance and their chances in the CL is that something unique happened last transfer window: for the first time in years Ajax was able to keep together their entire squad. They did not sell any of their stars. Now they can reap the benefits!
They were able to keep their players because nobody was interested in them.

For in total around 34 million euros. So in short: nonsense.

I was in the Borussia Dortmund Block...it was an unbelieveable view when the choreo starts...the Result of the match was shit :D But Ajax-Supporters was great :)
I was in the stadium as well, but in the opposite corner to support Ajax. After the game I actually ended up talking to a couple of Dortmund fans. They we're really nice, but obviously gutted with the outcome of the game. I really hope that both Ajax and Dortmund will make it to the knockouts. Before the game almost all of the Ajax fans would have been satisfied with a draw, so this result was really special for us.

When I lived in London I used to go to Ajax I had a membership and sit in the upper tier near the away section loved it absolute brilliant days. Ajax were outstanding against Dortmund.

The best moment always is when the whole stadium starts to sing, 90 minuten lang!! (90 minutes long). that's just epic. Few years ago, during that epic campaign, I could hear it so loud even through the radio, and it gave me goosebumbs. didn't change still. We Dutchies love Ajax

Hi Thogden, like you channel and especially this video. I was in 117 that night, so close to your section. To hear compliments from an English fan about the crowd and atmosphere means a lot, because the football experience in England is somewhat the Golden Standard, in my opinion. I remember when the ArenA was first used, people complained about the lack of atmosphere (and it was bad, you could hear people talking at normal volume in the adjacent section), but I always thought a new stadium is like a new fish bowl: You cannot expect to have a bowl with water, put fish in it and have an exciting fish bowl. These things need to settle first. You are more than welcome to come to Amsterdam and Ajax again!
