We were able to find a laptop from Temu, so we had to buy it! This laptop cost us a little over $200 with shipping. It is a very interesting laptop as it is new but if features very old hardware! The real question is: Will it game!?

This is basically what I gamed on for 3 years before buying an actual PC and building it myself. Never again, the only thing I would closely use that laptop for is displaying twitch chat / doing university work.
@@sotokudoges4045depends what you want it for, laptops can be the wave if you start liking creative uses
This actually literally is how my laptop runs it doesn’t even turn on anymore as of like 2 days ago so there’s that.
Linux would be my suggestion. And an SSD if you have a mechanical hard drive.
Buy a gaming laptop 😮
@@Moya12 I don’t use it for gaming I don’t use it at all I just have it and now it don’t work. goofy
@@innocents3129how are they goofy? You commented on a video about a laptop being used to gaming complaining so someone gave you a suggestion
If you haven't already leave it on charger overnight then try it, some don't work if battery dead
Nice demonstration - a little disappointed that there was no tear down. I was really looking forward to seeing how they got 12gb ram. With 12gb ram being o uncommon. Maybe have a 2nd video ( teardown ) / review of the hardware ; not the performance.
probably 4gb soldered and they added an 8gb stick
@@Shvraz Thanks
If they had 4 slots 2 4 6 I got a used msi laptop with 28 gbs of ram. Runs at 2300 mhz tho lol.
@@huskyfluffers9017 bro I got 8 gigs of ram 2133 Mhz
Pro tip: CTRL + SHIFT + ESC is shortcut for Task manager.
I iust put it on task bar
Same i iust do that to@@PrincessofKeys
wow I notice the new editing style i love it
That's how I started gaming on pc 10 years ago 😭 I didn't have that much knowledge of computers though so I always had 5-10 fps
I always wondered how capable these cheap laptops from temu preformed. Sort of reminds me of my dads old gaming laptop that has a cpu at 100% a gpu pretty much fried and a hard drive at 100%
Windows is your issue
@@KuromiloverX3 can be.
you cant even play games on mac @@KuromiloverX3
Wow my HP Compaq Elite 8300 USDT has 500 HD integral grafix O.o Nailed to a far superior i5, heck I paid £20 delivered for it off ebay and it seems to me was used as a standby machine as was almost brand new inside and out. The 8300 USDT is basically a laptop without a screen using SODIMM's for memory but I bypassed the awful 500 HD grafx and used a x16 mining riser and stuffed a 750Ti into it and it runs pretty slick for quite an ancient machine. I only use it to power a USB microscope and a place for all my watch tech datasheets etc so not expected to game but it does play old games quite well and I have emulators set up on it.
this reminded me of when Minecraft was free in 2010 and was using a normal macbook from 2008 to play and every the fan would ramp up to max speed and if you had it on your lap it would almost burn you every time or melt the desk fun times 👍.
This could be good for cloud gaming. I've been having a blast playing on Xbox game pass via the cloud as my laptop is too old to play any newer titles.
Not likely: the Celeron CPUs are so nerfed in architecture and silicon quality that I doubt it could handle the real-time data throughput without locking up. I found a Dell Latitude on the side of the road with a Celeron B730. Thing was so slow even 1080P video playback was enough to induce stutters. 1 Core, 2 Threads: all hot garbage. The solution I found was to swap in the spare Core i5 2640m I had leftover from a ThinkPad T420 i7 upgrade. Problem solved: it can even handle light gaming now. Unfortunately these new machines are all soldered CPUs instead of socketed, so even that option is off the table. This sort of laptop is (sadly) useless outside of a cubicle, and barely even useful there.
A laptop like this is only good for email or web surfing and maybe watching youtube. It's $200, most chrome books are more expensive than that.
I wonder how this would run as a Linux machine, it may actually run faster bc it won’t be using the entire cpu on windows background stuff
I remember playing WoW on a white iBook G4 back around 2006-2007 and it was so bad, when I finally played it on a real computer, I didn't realize everything around me wasn't dark. It was like walking in perpetual darkness until the screen would load as I was sneaking around. Lol.
with a decent retro gaming emulation distro like Batocera it might be able to run up to ps2/GC/Dreamcast games but not much higher than that with 2 cores 2 threads and intel graphics dating that far back . 12 gigs of ram is 3x4 gigs in triple channel but it never became a thing really and dual channel survived to this day and i do not think it is 6 gigs sticks since it would be a bit odd although this laptop is odd by itself as it is so.... .
don't think it'll even be able to run ps2 smoothly, that 1.1ghz is going to hold things back a lot
uhm... DDR4 is actually the memory because DDR3 was capped out at 800MHz. I know. I had trouble finding some for my Core2 Duo ^^
You're a generation off. Core2 Duo generally used DDR2 which was capped at 800Mhz. This seems correct for DDR3.
@@pswiifanwmi yup. was just trolling, purposely to see how many people actually get it. but I did have a Core2 Duo E7400 with 2GB of DDR2 back in the day. it was an awesome cpu.
Yoo,this is hype!
Completely unrelated but I just bought that stg 600$ pc a while ago and idk shit about the case but I was wondering would I be Able to upgrade the motherboard and maybe an aio?🤷🏽♂️
I used to game on a Compaq laptop with a Presario and I think 2GB of ram back in 2010-2012 and it was awful. I did WoW raids on 25 man 800x600 custom config file with explorer.exe ended had to downgrade to XP because of mandatory processes using for RAM and got 2-5 FPS on 25 man raids often. Even solo leveling up I'd rarely get above 20 with around 12-15 processes running only. It was just screenshots and eventually the fan went out and I had to put a box fan on top of a trash can and then the laptop on top of the box fan and used it for like 3 months like that until we fixed the fan which was such a hassle and you had to remove several things.
oh that some nice editing i got one of the mic im waiting for it!! so excited !!!!!!
No shot! That was how my laptop ran! To be fair, it had an i7-7500U, integrated graphics + gtx 970mx, and 12gb ddr4 3000mhz memory, but there were a few issues. Since it was a work laptop, ASUS prioritized portability instead of performance, meaning that it was slim. Since it was slim, it had a lot of power restrictions to limit heat. As well as this, the thermal paste was extremely dried up and wasnt useful at all. Another thing, it had an hdd, meaning that it had horrible boot times and slower-then-average program boot times. Since it was an older laptop, it was exposed to a lot of dust, meaning the fans were restricted severely. Lastly, not because of me, there was a lot of malware on the machine, probably slowing it down and destroying the cpu performance. Luckily, however, I have upgraded. My new setup includes: Pc~ I5-11400f Lenovo RTX 3050 OEM 16gb ddr4 3600mhz memory Plenty of cooling* (*3 evenly distributed fans) 80+ gold psu (unsure of wattage) ~ Dual monitors (165hz and 75hz, both 1080p) Two mice (Logitech g305 lightspeed and CyberPowerPC macro mouse; unsure the exact model) And a 75% mechanical (cheery switches) magegee keyboard. I dont want people to look at this and say "This guy has it all." This setup took me 4 years of saving and $1100 to put together. Setups take time, which is why it is important to keep your mind on the prize (whatever that may be for your situation). To conclude, I just want to say to everyone to have a wonderful day, and hi ToastyBros! :)
Nobody gaf 😭
That's kinda wrong for an overkill system like that.
Great, i hope your motherboard has bios flashback or dual bios its a must! i got that for just 1k and needed 6 years to save up for my pc because i am still below the minimal 16 years age
Toasty brossssss i love your videos thx for being you😂😂
Instead of gaming, you should have checked video playback. No one right in their mind would buy that for gaming but people might want to watch a movie o it. With that performance, I'm curious if it would run 1080 video.
Great video.
Ya so the problem with the video is you jumped right into disk monitor when you got into windows, the system is updating and has to index. another issue is with intel hd 500 which my dell laptop has from 2016 can handle subnautica and GW2 on lower settings. the issue with your laptop is the proccesor is to low end so the graphics and RAM is completely useless for gaming, but for daily computing tasks its actually fine.
can you sell white previous on ur website?
Wonder if it ran better with Inpectre deactivation of Spectre/Meltdown safety measures.
Ok for the 200 dollars temu charges you can get a well specced and durable dell latitude with at least an 8th gen intel i5 4c8t for well under 200usd. I got Dell Latitude 5400 : Intel i5-8365U @ 1.6Ghz (4c8t) // 16GB RAM // 256GB NVME SSD for only 112USD!! I can even do very nice music production on it too!
I'm watching in September ;)
What softwhere do they use to measure all the stats
temu has some good stuff but be careful read the reviews . you guys have helped me to choose thanks
Hey bros! This was an awesome video, but I was hoping if you can try playing Roblox on one of the cheap laptops or pcs. I have a dell laptop that plays Roblox okay on low settings, but I want to be able to play Roblox on high settings without my fps going from 60 to 25. Love your videos and have a nice day!
Idk if they read the comments but the aspect ratio needs to be changed to make it almost full-screen so watch the video on phones would have a much better experience
its funny thats labeled a TransFlash reader which is a REALLY old version of a flash card
Oh BTW I hope that you have a seperate VLAN for testing these shady devices on!
Editor going crazy this video 😂
I bought a used hp laptop with a amd platunum and it will run circles around this laptop even with 8 gb of ram and it was $130 and it also came with 200gb ssd
I don't know are used good?
i used to play fortnite on a laptop around the same specs and ive been able to play it after (just a few minor optimazations) it ran at only like 30 fps max but would play on potato graphics and also it would be at like 10 for the entire match only in lobby would it be 30 fps
I picked up an i7 8700k PC yesterday for $300. The CPU is on an MSI Z370-A PRO motherboard. The PC has 16GB of DDR4 RGB RAM at 3000MHz, a GTX 1060 6GB, an H100i Corsair 240mm cooler, and it's all housed in a Kediers C570 case that has 7 RGB fans as well as tempered glass side panels. I just have to buy a power supply and hard drive.
Good for you! Have fun gaming!
Pretty good specs for 300
Nice price for the specs
You will rip through 1080p on that, and if you upgrade the video card in the future 1440p should be no issue.
For me that costs 600 in my country used, idk how you got lucky you live in the usa probably i live in europe
please test out the temu mini pcs
at least they started you off with the real OOBE windows experience instead of some sketchy premade admin account haha
fr my Acer Nitro 7 had a premade Admin account on the original Windows 10 OEM Install
Tbh I have never seen any laptops on Temu I only saw monitors.
this is better than my laptop 💀
Wow. That laptop slower then my laptop with i5-3320M that I brought for $100
How about for a follow up video the PC Bros try to make this laptop better? Can it be done? 🤔
Not really, CPU is the bottleneck for gaming
@@aleksazunjic9672 Maybe they still make mods to anything on this for improvement.
May as well get the Thinkpad T490.
I jist wanna know can it run roblox in good graphics cuz my old laptop has 4 ram and can barely play roblox games at the all the way down settings
@toastybros next giveaway stream there needs to be a punishment to play on this laptop until you get a kill 😂
Bro this is how my pc runs with 100% cpu usage
My 8 year old laptop with dual core celeron runs almost the same as that 😂
Dude my NEW laptop stopped charging and I think I need a new one for school and gaming
Hey my brother just bought a maono mic its great
LITERALLY watching this ON September 1st 😂😂😂
No fricken way. I have a gateway laptop that look almost exactly like that and I think it has the same ports. Weird
How well would this work with GeForce Now? Could make a good streaming laptop.
Actually decent, I have a laptop with same cpu and geforce now works fine(As long as internet is stable).
My old laptop is smashed everywhere, yet it's a flash. (it's a HP with Intel i5)
Can you make a video about Asus vivobook pro 16 (non-X) 2023?
Crezy is the cameraman. 😂
Can my HP laptop with atom n475 and 2GB of RAM run minecraft ?
They found a laptop worse than mine, impressive
This is actually how my brothers heavily modified ps2 plays
There’s a laptop at microcenter rn for 199 with the i3 1154g1 or whatever naming lol it has 8gb ram DDR4 so at least it’s slightly modern 😅
Dang wish I had a microcenter near me i'd buy that my pc rn is i2 with 10gb ddr3

bro this is like the laptop but here's whats different what's different is i used optifine for minecraft around 18 to 40 fps on smaller server but on big ones are unplayable fortnite it can load good but still laggy not as much as the video but still bad and if you were wondering i'm about sure its 4 gigs of ram that's it i dont know anything other on specs of it and also if you were wondering it's a acer's laptop chrome OS
I mean it runs better than my old laptop i used for like 6 years
This is how my laptop runs 😢😢😢I need to upgrade
That old Celeron bursts to 2.4 on a good day.

How can a intel celron with DDR3 ram can run windows 11 while mine, which is better and have DDR4 ram, is "not compatable"
Windows has an official method to download windows 11 on unsupported hardware i did it on my old pc
that is actually how my laptop runs
CTRL + Shift + ESC to pull up task manager...
how did you get pass the cant open fortnite pop up
This is how my laptop runs 😢
this is pretty much how my pc runs i have a 660ti and a i7 860
this is actually how my laptop runs. its more than 10 year old so im getting a new one

I thought ram only came in 2 4 8 16 and 32 for the standard sizes?
It's probably an 8g stick and a 4 gig stick, though at that price, direct soldered RAM is also possible.
People should always get updates on games and windows 10 or 11
It can Farmville.... lol. It's definitely a $200 laptop.
this is howw my laptop runs it doesnt even run 50fps and like 100-200 ping:(
I had a laptop back in s3 days of OG fortnite that ran the game worse than this. it was 1 frame every like 10 seconds. it was legit unplayable but it got me hooked into finding a way to play the game
it weird, you can see a bend ion the keyboard
Can it use External GPU graphics?
Sadly can relate 😢
is it bad I kinda have the same laptop but it's from a Romanian brand and I payed 500 Romanian dollars for it?
minecraft is really unoptimized and it probably wasn't the laptops fault, did you try using mods like optifine or sodium?
This is how my pc runs playing minesweeper
My laptop: Finally! A worthy opponent!
To be fair, this is totally what i would expect from a $200 laptop
This is better than my laptop with 4gb ddr3 ram amd e-300 apu integrated
When I first started playing fortnite, I played on an all in one. Which the game looked like that on lowest settings Even in ch1 s8.
Some editor just discovered effects in Premiere….
bro wht u mean in watching this at 120p at like 30 fps
i wonder if tiny11 would help it run a little better
probably,it would give more fps and perfomance because tiny 11 is just windows 11 without the bloatware
The only reason i watch these videos is for the hot guy with the moustache
Try overclocking it
something being minimalistic means we didnt wana spend money on that so we made it as simple and as cheap as possible
That CPU is not on the Windows 11 supported list on the MS site. The lowest supported Celeron for Win11 is the N4000, and I wouldn't recommend gaming on that either. There are quad core J Celerons that could game (light gaming, not anything demanding), as well as the N4100 and higher. If you see the N095 or N100 (new marketing), those are the N5095 and N5100 Celerons, which are quad core that are much better than the dual cores, and compare okay to the Pentium Silver 5K CPUs.
