Space Jam starring Michael Jordan was one of the definitive kid's movies of the 1990s and became an international hit. Naturally, Hollywood has wanted to make a sequel for a long time, but it’s no easy task. Who is an all-star athlete who is not only popular enough to not only carry a movie but fit it into their busy all-star athlete schedule? The answer is apparently: Lebron James.
Space Jam: A New Legacy definitely raises some questions. Like why are there so many Warner Bros properties in this thing? Why doesn’t Lebron try a little harder to recruit non-Looney Tunes characters? How did his son get that incredible scanning technology? How would winning a basketball game change anything for Al G Rhythm if he’s already made history by teleporting thousands of people into a server? Who are these Matrix references for? How did Bugs Bunny survive? Why are the Clockwork Orange guys here?
To answer all these questions and more, step inside the Pitch Meeting that led to Space Jam: A New Legacy! It’ll be super easy, barely an inconvenience.

    • So Ready Player One then? The only things in that movie that weren't WB were the 5 second Chestbuster cameo, Mechagodzilla, the Gundam (both who immediately ended up in WB coproductions after that movie), and the T. Rex from Jurassic Park (which apparently was only thrown in as a nod to Spielberg)

There is a fellowship they have with one another based on their common fellowship with God. They share the same love for Christ, the same basic experience of salvation, the same eternal destiny. /Prayer+ Give me a new level of love for my spiritual brothers and sisters, O Lord. Let me rejoice in our common love for You and in all that we share in common. Help me to be kind towards them and to put others above myself. Amen.

      @fontbane@fontbane2 жыл бұрын
    • @Quentin Coberley Again, the attacker was literally thrusting the knife at the victim, just about to stab her when the officer fired. There was no time to apprehend her peacefully, if you look at the body cam it all happens very fast. You have to make a judgement call in a situation like that. Save a girl who has a knife thrusting towards her, or risk her life to protect her attacker? A taser is unreliable in this situation, it's too far range to make sure it actually makes contact (with the right target) and it doesn't always work. But if it does, you now have a girl convulsing with a knife in her hand. That's not a desirable situation. The reason they'll take school shooters "peacefully" is because they're trying to avoid a firefight, which could cause further casualties. And sometimes shooters will give themselves up once police arrive. It's easy for people to criticize the cop's actions without knowing anything about the situation, but there was really nothing else he could've done to save the girl who was about to be stabbed. It's unfortunate the attacker had to be shot, but there was no other option.
