Exact model I have in the CP314-1HN-P2TR (Part: NX.AZ3EK.002). That means I have the Pentium N6000 processor, 4GB RAM, 128GB storage, a FHD touch screen. As mentioned there are also other models with the Intel Celeron N4500.

Great review - no gimmicks, just what we need to know.
Thanks Martyn, glad you appreciate the style. Please do check out some more of the Chromebook content on the channel and consider a sub 👍
Great review. Really struggling to find the right Chromebook here in South Africa. Seems like we only have the 64GB option available. Still hunting...
Thanks Bryan, glad it was useful but a shame you haven't got the higher capacity storage options available locally in SA. Are you particularly looking for a convertible? Would you consider a slightly smaller screen, if so.... kzhead.info/sun/ocdvgrGlboxvfYk/bejne.html - might be one to look into?
Thx for productive video, i’ve a question, is it possible to install windows 10 or 11 on this chrome book??? really need your answer
Hi, glad it was useful. No worry, not possible to put Windows onto this that I'm aware of and for the 4GB RAM models like I have you wouldn't want to. I think you may want to check out the Acer Swift Windows laptops.
Hi, what’s the name of the stylus pen that you got for this Chromebook ?
Hi, I was borrowing the stylus that came with my ASUS CM3/CL3 - kzhead.info/sun/qLqMd9BtoZWeg68/bejne.html
Is this one of the new Chromebook PLUS models?
No, sorry. It wouldn't qualify with the Pentium Silver N6000 for starters, needs to be a minimum Core i3 12th gen or equivalent, plus 8GB RAM and other requirements. The HP 15a model I showed on the channel recently is a Chromebook Plus model, qualifying for the update: kzhead.info/sun/d9ebdN2GsWaAd6c/bejne.html
Im into this cos it seems like a tablet and notebook in one. Pretty good deal
Glad you like it. What would you pick between this convertible Acer Spin Chromebook and this convertible Chromebook from Lenovo - kzhead.info/sun/ocdvgrGlboxvfYk/bejne.html ?
Where do you buy all your refurbished laptops?
Hi, mainly from the big refurb sellers on ebay. or direct on their sites Combine with this option when you can for a better deal - kzhead.infoqgtrSywg93U When there are multiple Chromebooks available I post on X/Twitter with links so you can check out my profile there @MergeDroid (This Acer Spin 314 was a one item listing so I didn't post it). Hey there! Do you know of a cheap printer that will work with this particular Chromebook?
Hi, this article may help you - support.google.com/chromebook/answer/12403345 Perhaps find a few cheaper printers in your region and check if they're on the list?
@@MergeDroid Thank you! I just realized Chromebooks are not compatible with just plugging in a printer. You have to connect through the internet/wifi. Sigh, I suppose that's that! Thanks for the help though.
@8691man yes, in general most modern WiFi printers should work. Some can be pretty cheap too, but look into the ink costs, that's where they get you! 💷 💷 💷
If i can increase the ram, what's the maximum?
No, it's soldered to the board. As I show in the video there are model variants with either 4GB RAM or 8GB RAM. Hope that helps?
I would have liked to know what you can and can't install on it, any windows apps or only android apps, telegram? discord, or only browser type apps? what about privacy with Google back doors etc?
Hi, well I hope you found the review useful overall. Your app questions are more specific to ChromeOS in general than this Chromebook. On a Chromebook you have two main ways of installing programs: 1.) Via the Google Play Store with apps that are compatible for a Chromebook 2.) Linux programs using the Linux functionality in ChromeOS. You can see an example of how you would do this in my video on installing the Linux version of Minecraft on a Chromebook:kzhead.info/sun/naWvj5ute5OCYGw/bejne.html So getting to your specific app queries and if/how you'd install them in ChromeOS: * Windows apps - no * Android apps - yes, via the Play Store where compatible * Telegram - yes, from the Play Store * Discord - yes, from the Play Store With your privacy question, not quite sure how to answer, but I think if you use Google Chrome and Google services on your other devices there's not much of an issue with using a Chromebook to access them and it wouldn't really be any different in my mind. Hope this all helps, just let me know of any other queries and please check the channel out for more Chromebook and ChromeOS content.
I cant wait to get mine i ordered this model the other day. Mine has 128gb storage 8gb ram. I got mine for $300 from Amazon.
Very nice. Love getting comments like this. Hopefully my video can be a slight substitution until it arrives 😎 Do post back to give your thoughts on it and it you haven't already please do check out some more of the Chromebook content on the channel and consider a sub 👍
It will probably be a week or two before I get the Chromebook.
I hope the video helps as a substitute in the meanwhile 😎
Can i increase the ram?
No sorry, it's soldered to the board. As I explain in the video there are options with either 4GB or 8GB RAM 👍
So i got the 8gb ram version but as i try to run games from the playstore for example COD mobile, the app would just close once the Activision logo pops up... I see you managed to pop up fortnite so i believe there's still something im missing here
Sounds nice with the 8GB. Do you have the Pentium Silver N6000 like I have in this video for the processor, or the Celeron N4500? I'll test installing COD Mobile on mine later and let you know if it loads correctly. With regards to Fortnite, my approach would be - kzhead.infosvUgqbXZXIs
UPDATE - see my initial response, but I've now installed in on my Acer Spin 314 (as shown in this video, so 4GB RAM, N6000) and I get the same crash out at the Activision logo that you report - sorry. If I get time later I'll test out on my HP 15a Chromebook Plus with 8GB RAM and the Core i3-N305 processor: kzhead.info/sun/d9ebdN2GsWaAd6c/bejne.html
UPDATE #2 - it also crashes out in the same way on my HP 15a with the Core i3 and 8GB RAM. I'd recommend going the same route I went with Fortnite: kzhead.infosvUgqbXZXIs
@@MergeDroid thanks for your responses, yes I also have the N6000 but I did purchase a refurbished one from amazon so that may play a roll as well? I'll check your link right now
Hi, no problem. See my other updates in the rely thread, I see the same crash out with my 4GB RAM model and also my HP 15a with the Core i3-N305 with 8GB RAM. Being refurb will make no difference here 👍
Bluetooth?
Yup, as I mention 1:37
I have it. It's pretty useless
This same generation and model with the Pentium Silver N6000?
