  • I'm English and I went to Denmark once and loved it. So did my kids. We've been to Finland seven times to have summer holidays in a mökki - a log cabin by a lake. Towards the end of the day, before you cook your sausages over a fire and drink a cold beer, you sit in the sauna looking at the trees through the window, feeling your brain slowing down, you swim naked in the lake and the cold water just feels like tingles on your skin and then you stop swimming and realise all you can hear is the sound of the water, the breeze through the tree branches, your own breathing and maybe a bird or two. And you just feel so happy.

Norway was my very first foreign country ever, which I visited as a 9-year-old and it impressed me beyond words in so many ways but the beauty of nature would probably be number 1. My uncle was a Norwegian and lived in the far north, so I could experience all those wonderful landscapes and richness of natural environment. My dream is to explore some more this gorgeous nature of the Lappland region some time in the near future. Thank you for this well-balanced and so, so inspiring video :) . Compared to Stockholm, Copenhagen, and Helsinki, I felt that the people in Oslo appeared to be cold in general. The only bad experience in Oslo during the 10-day trip was that one young guy yelled at me something about China while I was just walking on the street. I hear worse stories while staying in Europe from my East Asian friends, so I wouldn't consider my experience as terrible. So far, anything like this hasn't happened to me in other Scandinavian cities with even more days spent (yes in Paris, of course...lol). Anyway, I can't wait to visit Reykjavik next and visit Gothenburg and Malmo! I love staying in Sodermalm in Stockholm & pretending I live there, and the locals are really nice and friendly there. Sweden is the best!

It has been under the rule of both Denmark and Sweden several times trough history and up until the 60's it was also the poorest with no aristocracy hailing from it. But then Norway found oil! And suddenly found itself on par or even richer than its Scandinavian brothers. Today Norway has one of the biggest state owned savings accounts in the world. Almost as big as its humongous it's inferiority complex. And Norway voted no to become a member of EU in two public referendums. But Norway still conform more EU regulation than any EU member country?? To many of its citizens anger. So Norway always wants to politically play with its big western European cousins. France, England and Germany. Not the people but it's political establishment. They are all for EU contrary to its people and always wants to demonstrate how fantastic they are. Sending more money around the world comparably to its national BNP than any country in the world. Trying to make everybody believe they really are Lobsters. They just don't seem to get that this only makes them more prone to being eaten!

Going to Sweden, I love the forests and lakes, and find the reclusiveness and people NOT being so talkative very pleasant indeed. It would be the country to emigrate for me as well. Norway would be equally interesting but very expensive for me living in Germany, plus a little far away. Staying in the south or middle of Sweden is perfect for me.

  • I have a tough time choosing one Scandinavian country over another. But considering all the time I’ve spend in Sweden, I gotta say I feel more connected to it. All those times spent in the summer, and the fact that my grandfather spoke Swedish (Åland🇦🇽) make me love the language even more. Swedes are cool to hang out with, and are often more than willing to join an adventure, which I love. Not to mention they produce the nectar of life, my all time favourite ✨Julmust✨ Denmark is filled to the brim with so many outstanding people. They are outgoing, really easy to talk to, fun to party with, and most of them don’t do BS. The language is really, eeeh, different. If a Dane speak to quickly, I don’t stand a chance, specially when drunk, but when drunk there is no need to understand what they say, they make you laugh no matter what. And danish smørrebrød are really💯🤌🏻 Finland is not a part of Scandinavia, and are often left on the side line in many sibling fights between the 3, but the one thing that really sticks out for me with Finland, is how much pride they put in all the things they do. Not only with how they in silence have grown strong and have overcome hard times, but if you also look at the quality of everything they produce. (Try braking an old Nokia, or find a better boat than Buster). They are truly a proud people, and have my outmost respect. I know we all joke around, make fun of each other, and have intense rivalry at times, but I truly love and value the friendship and family bonds we share. Much love from Norway 🇳🇴

I love the langage and hopefully I can learn it as a fifth language ( apparently it's easier when you know German already) I loved how the days are short in winter and sooo long in summer. So much nature to explore! Their way of life is also so refreshing. I loved learning about the true meaning kf Fika and Lagom is apparently the state they like to live in. All in all, Scandinavia is really unique and probably the best place to live in

Countless lakes, and mountains, rivers, untouched nature I guess. But since I spoke with people from all the Scandinavian countries including Finland, i'd say that the most relaxed and more communicative are Danes and Finns. Norwegians and Swedes seem kinda private, but heck we're all people, so we're naturally different. Big ups from Sveti Stefan, Montenegro.
