This has been extremely helpful for me. One thing I found is that none of it can be at the expense of focusing on precise aim. If I’m not aiming well, none of the evasive tactics or swapping can help me-they’ll get me first.

I can say 100% I need to get more comfortable with fighting especially end game fighting. I’m trying to get out of hiding so much in the game. That’s how I make it to the end but your right you never win like that. I’m the queen of 4th, 3rd, &2nd place lol

The drop ur shotgun after the start of the game was a great tip with that alone I’ve already seen a big improvement
Before even watching the vid, imma give a tip to all you controller players: bind your jump button to something you do not press with your right thumb. That way you can jump in close range fights and be harder to hit while still being able to look and shoot while ur jumping
Or play claw grip :)
Fav close range setup for me ideally is Goo, EvoShotty, EvoAR. Good if I catch em off guard when my evos are green or blue. I mix and match goo and rpg depending on what I have. I always try to go for the surprise explosion, then shotty AR follow up. If I make it back to the shotty after a few evo AR shots, I'm likely dead.

Great video. I gotta practice mantling the balloons the like. I like ranger shotgun, ranger AR, and cobra DMR. I like to keep people away from me. I dont want to get primed and hammered. I want to get one shot with my shotgun and finished them off with my AR. Or catch them off guard with my cobra. Too close for the bolt-action but too far for shotguns and SMG's. Most of the time it will be my cobra versus your AR and that gives me better odds. However I might try prime, hammer, and bolt-action. I came from Halo so I like snipers.
iv been playing fortnite for a month and a half now, the first BR/shooter iv played. starting to get very comfortable with mid to long range fights and tracking with the hammer. but my close range is hot garbage lol

I thought invalid prime shots were just a thing that happened to me so glad you showed that clip at the end fortnite needs to fix this it's been happening to Me since they added the dbz update
That's my biggest problem is swapping weapons so fast I can't seem to swap as fast like others I 0lay controller xbox not sure what I'm doing wrong 😅
When I quick switch to an SMG I press shoot too quickly and it doesn't shoot, happens lots to me

I've been having pretty good luck with using 2 hammers I start off picking up whatever I can find most the time it's a ranger first

For aim I use remappable v3 paddles and grip. Digital buttons bumpers tirggers and regular sticks

Goo gun is my favorite close range weapon
Set your own win rate. 3 kills, 4 kills etc. I set myself a goal of only being able to change skin if I win a game or I get 10 kills. If playing with friends squads is easier than solos so that will help you get better
On kb with default weapon slots, swapping weapons is difficult for me… gotta work on different configs for AR & Shotty
If ur mouse has extra buttons I was using those for a while. Easy to misclick though

Love the content, anyone else reading this should use Jake’s shop code. What’s your tip for transitioning from shockwave to slide? It’s been a tricky one for me to get consistently, and if I miss it during a push, it leaves me in a really bad spot. I’m using a ps5 controller.
I think I just hold it the entire time as im landing idk ive never really thought about it.
Yeah if you’re holding the slide button in the air you’ll automatically hit the super slide when you land

Depends on your binds too I feel. I have crouch/slide double binded with R3 and a face button. Just clicking R3 while in air always initiates the slide on landing for me but the face button is hit or miss. Also not sure if toggle sprint setting effects this.
@@Half_awake_Jake after trying some of the moves from the responses, came back to my original comment to say this. I have circle as my slide, and it is very 50/50 whether the slide is initiated, and it has to be hit precisely as you hear the foot make contact w the ground.

Still a complete Noob to the game and Zero Build, but I give an opening volley of ranger or prime, swap to rapid fire and finish with the hammer if needed.

I agree. This channel has helped me so much. I was totally new to the game but both my girls played it and they wanted me to join in. I have learnt so much from watching these videos. I wont watch anyone else because they either shout a lot or swear which i feel is not necessary when you are trying to teach people how to do something.
