    • Yes, BMW and Mercedes make a cold run, the engine is driven from outside to test the functions.

    • @@miketaylor3947 They need one, mainly for the gearbox. There is a mnemonics from Andreas Preuninger for 911, with each 100mi, you can go 1.000 RPM up. Porsche itself just says you should not use the car for race activities below the first 2000 mi.
