man low profile keyboards on laptops (the decent ones at least, i had the pleasure of spending years on 2 great laptop keyboards) are so practical, they are silent and because they are low on the membrane you can actually type a lot faster on one compared to normal height keys. Also it's silent. Nuff said.

same, I play on an rog and got used to it, so my fingers are not used to the thick mechanical keyboard keys

I've looked for slim laptop style keyboard for some time. All slim mechanics was definitely not silent. So I've bought Vantar about a week ago. Comparing to video my keyboard does not flex anything like on the video. It is possible, but not to extend shown on video. Pros: light, slim and compact yet full keys set, silent, low profile, low travel distance cheap (not as important for me). Cons: RGB goes to defaults after shutting down computer, so if you don't like default rainbow RGB you'll be forced to change it every boot; also as Steven mentioned - num lock LED indicators looks like a searchlight ;)
I have it for over 3 years and its the best keyboard i ever had. Quiet, precise, responsive, antighosted, very short buttons. Only one disadvantage is you have to turn off backlight everytime after PC . start. Best for writing and for gaming with x-scissors.

I was sooo close to buy the Redragon Karura 2, until I saw this 😍
All the effects shown are kool but is there a way to make the keyboard stop all these effects, pick a solid color, and lock it in? If so, does back-lighting time out? How is back-lighting activated? If the thing just dances all over the place with colors, I'm gonna need alot of ACID

My keyboard! I love it BUT the num lock LED indicator is brighter than staring into the fucking sun. So outside of that it's extremely quiet and the LED effects are wonderful. It's a nice, cheaper way of adding colour to a drab desktop. Especially the rainbow effect, love it.

In my opinion this keyboard's RGB is great if not the best compare to the price. It sounds well and i really like the Cogar Logo on the Space and near the Up Down Left and Right buttons. Im totoaly geting it! Nice review subed!

Mecanic keyboard sounds very loud, I bought a cougar 200k, which have scissor switches like Vantar. I recommended it over any membrane keyboard. Nice review

about 8 years ago i bought advent keyboard pretty much similar to this one with same amount of colors for mere 10 pounds. it is mind boggling how come some of this keyboards cost even 200 pounds! all i wanted is low profile illuminated silent keyboard that is cheap and Cougar Vantar is the only one on market at the moment. rest of this mechanical crap is like going back to commodore c64 times

I have it and the huge issue is that this keyboard reset every time you shut down your PC. It simply doesn’t save your preferences, it comes back to default mode.

How's hitting a wide key (e.g., CapsLock or Shift) near the left or right end? Is it the same feeling as hitting it in the middle? I tried the anidees AI-KB-PM104 before, and had to send it back since wider keys would jam if not hit near the middle.
You'll not have any kind of issue with the Vantar.

Yeah I type faster and more accurately with these flat chrome book type keys and the big ones feel a little odd so it’s difficult to process what I’m about to press for some reason so I like these :]

Just ordered mine, I just transitioned from gaming laptops to a desktop pc and I got a mechanical keyboard first, but I have super long nails and typing is a nightmare, my fingers slip and I press everyother key but the one I want, plus I can't type sh*t, I'm slow as f, and on my laptop with the low profile keys I had not a single issue since the nails don't touch at all because the key doesn't run deep, so with my fingertips are the only area that push. haha dont worry I also type stupidly slow for someone who types script everyday 😑 You might want to check the new version, Vantar AX. Just got one in and working on videos. As for the mechanical keys you can also check I have a few videos of low profile mechanical keyboards. But they are quite a bit more expensive than this one. But hope you enjoy your Vantar and dont miss click anymore.

It depends on what you like. I personally like the Deathfire EX more. But if you like the low profile keys then this might be better for you.

Well Cherry MX Low Profile Red is out, Ducky Blade built on it should be released in a month or two... for $159. Yikes. Cherry said no ETA on Low Profile Brown, but I do hope it comes out this year. Then it's still like half a year before we can expect actual keyboards. While waiting, I might as well settle with a Microsoft Modern Keyboard. I have the Surface Keyboard currently, and I fucking LOVE it, it's the most pleasant keyboard I've had in my life, the feedback, the travel distance, everything is pretty much perfect, BUT it's BT-only, and BT connection failed on me more than once in the middle of an FPS match. The Modern Keyboard solves this by finally having a detachable cord. But it's $130... There's some low profile Kailh switches (PG1232, PG1442), but I could only find lousy budget keyboards using them yet.

i know this video was 2 years ago, but the *T H I C C* mehanical keys are too big for my fingers and get in the way while I type, thats why i like the tiny laptop keys better. This is e p i c. sadly I can't get it in Canada.
