The longest video I've posted yet! Tried to get everything filmed, making subs, pulling bread, meatball subs, tuna subs, turkeys, breakfast wraps, hams and far too many cold cuts. Working on veggies and meats.
I'm still working hard to set up new ideas / videos. Would you like to see a live stream? A at home Subway sub made at home from scratch? I will read comments so any suggestions for videos are always welcome :)

  • I spent 6 hours this morning making sandwiches at my own job only to come home and watch someone else make sandwiches while I eat dinner. I work at a different chain though so its always interesting to see how similar yet different it is.

    • I worried abt this as well when I started working there but soon it turns into a routine and it doesn’t even seem like there are so many different orders. Most people order pretty much the same and the amount of food you put in there is regulated so there isn’t really much regulation

  • I've worked plenty of food and beverage jobs including at stadiums and arenas and i've reached points where I don't even want to deal with people anymore. But here I am finding this very relaxing.

  • Subway used to have this Mediterranean Sandwich (I'd always get it in a wrap) with their very own Tzatziki sauce a few years back. Gosh, I miss that sooooo much!!! Great job, BTW on the video! :')

    • Yes I would get that and put my own feta on it cuz they didn't carry it???? Extra olive and onion for me. But yes they discontinued some good stuff. They actually got rid of the classic subway club which was the dumbest move ever but brought it back coke classic style.

    • I was going to make a little video on this, It would be a great sale. Peanut butter being a more common allergy is why Subway won't carry it. I know a few places that do. I will make a peanut butter and jelly sub just will have to be at home!

    • Yeah so easy to make and cheap why spend $$ on it? Lol kinda silly. but yeah the peanut allergy could be why. Better to get the normal peanut butter anyways with no other ingredients than ONLY peanuts. So many brands have so much crap like sugar and hydrogenated oil like Jiffy and Skippy for example. Crap if you like to eat a lot of peanut butter and I eat a lot of it.

    • It's really not worth it, you think they will sell but PB & J is just too easy to make at home, it would likely perform poorly. It would also have to be very expensive to make the profit margins worth it with labor costs since PB & J is so cheap, not to mention clean-up would be hell and it doesn't fit with the rest of the menu at all. At that rate most people would rather just go buy an uncrustable at a grocery store.

  • I stopped eating subway years ago due to me finding out about a small family owned sub shop in my area thats been in business for over 60 years and is kind of a local icon and i just dont eat any massive chain sub restaurants anymore because of how good the food is.   • I like watching this while working from home. It’s like my eyes catch it, and I’m like ‘look at all that stuff I don’t have to think or worry about’. It’s like a safe mental space when work is hounding me. Nice sandwichman just does his job, he isn’t constantly imagining stuff he can ask for from management. He doesn’t put in purchase request because he wants more purple in his office, he just deals with the assorted colors I already bought… sorry getting off track. That said, wtf, olives and mustard?

  • I love this! I was thinking about working for subway. I eat it almost everyday[= I would be OCD about making the sandwich look perfect, but if there was a rush, I'd understand, you got do what you gotta do.

  • Here’s a tip for Subway Canada customers: Lettuce is the cheapest veggie that subway gets supplied, and its natural for people to put lettuce- which is why lettuce is put before and in big quantities so that other veggies quantities go less and they can close the sandwich - so do this: dont ask for lettuce first and put all your other veggies 🥗- then put lettuce and your sauces, etc. - they will end up putting a normal amount of lettuce instead of tons as they would do if u put lettuce first

  • Your line is HUGE! The Subway I work at is super compacted. I see that your store uses parchment paper for the cookies. Less cleaning. The metal bread pans are hell of a lot better than the silicone ones lol. We stick our knives in two small long containers under the bar and one discard bin so we just run them to the back and soak them.

  • The key to any sub here is fresh soft bread. Once it dries out, throw it away. Reheating it in that oven won't mask the dryness. Fresh everything! Ask when it was baked and have them show you it's fresh with a squeeze test.
