Hey let's be accurate... He's only a tyrant to the clearly impoverished.
The "victim" who sounds like he cut off the truck, was aggressive and uncooperative.
@@sackeshi Ok officer, was this cop a friend of yours
@sackeshi wow your an idiot bet your friends with this PoS

The minute the cop dropped the first F bomb " Exactly what the F i mean " I knew he was garbage.
He certainly hated that man for no reason.
Same thought
You know he's a POS when he shows up in uniform. Only a POS becomes a cop these days.
Same thought for me too, IMO I think that cops should not be allowed to curse at the public, some police actually have it in their policies but police following policy is like a unicorn
I thought the same.
This guy murdered someone, then his department interviewed him and ONLY him; then concluded that they did nothing wrong and gave him a promotion? I've rarely felt so angry.
The police treated this man with no dignity and showed no concern for his well-being after being the victim of an accident. Disgusting
The Cop should go to prison.
An aspirin. To a man exhibiting symptoms of a brain injury... Aspirin... Which is an anticoagulant. They should be charged with attempted murder.
The cop sould, the jail attendant should and the person behind the jail cell arraignment area should be disciplined. He saw that the guy was acting funny, and chose to just let it go to get him OUT of the system so the city would not me be on the hook for their damages. The cops NEVER checked him for alcohol. He was technically operating a vehicle, and IF he was intoxicated that would have been DUI. They HAD the right and ability to do so regardless of the victims will to cooperate. The jail attendant should have insisted he get checked out and again Had the right to do so regardless of the victim's' refusal. He was in custody, and the victim showed CLEAR medical issues. the guy behind the grill knew something was wrong, the jail attendant KNEW AND POINTED OUT HE HAD HIT HIS HEAD!!!!! except HE had not hit his own head the cop had attacked him unreasonably. This entire thing is just another reason to never go to texas, even if just passing through. IT also shows that the cop wanted to write SOMEBODY up for the accident....and used the poor, old grouch as HIS victim. Edit: I responded quickly because what I saw was simply so egregious just impossible to take in ( even though I know it happens all too often in the US) I would totally agree with the below F grade for the police dept, and for the cop I would actually have considered manslaughter. Moreso with his history, but just on the actions in this ONE incident. I also think the family should hire an attorney to file a federal right violations suit. I would very much like to thank Prado for NOT whitewashing this, and trying to do the official line and cover it up. The Police chief and the jail personnel should be CHARGED. This was NOT in their line of duty, nor should qualified immunity apply to this at all. They ignored his rights to the point he died from neglect while in that cities care. I cannot comment on the city, because they do not seem to have reacted until WAY late in the process. I think their hiring of Prado was to put distance between them and the obvious criminal activity of the police THEY are responsible for. Anyway, It is all a sad thing. Sad that the cop is a vicious killer, and that he was allowed to find a new home after discipline in Houston AND that the chief in dickerson covered up a killer's actions. ( and if they want to say...but but but it was an accident and the cop did not mean it. PFFT the guy on the bike was HIT by a car on accident...the cop was deliberate)
Absolutely.
He was indicted, so it is possible.
The whole department should....here is yet another example of how there's no such thing as a "good cop"....if there was a single "good cop" at that department, they would have done everything in their power to rectify this situation, force out the bad cops, leak the info to the media...anything!!! How can anybody claim that "most cops are good" when ALL Cops literally do absolutely nothing about the bad cops right next to them?
The "investigator" that found "no wrong-doing" should be charged as well. Clear cover-up, and corruption.
As is the case for most of these internal reviews. I don't know why they even bother wasting their time with them.

Why you think they act like that they have green card from above...
@theweirdo61 Exactly why an INTERNAL review should not be done. The review should be processed by an independent group or individual, therefore there is no buddy buddy cover up crap going on

When they went to book him the Intake officers said he needed to go to the hospital. Huge failure. That cop killed him. For no reason. He attempted to cover, saying he was trying to walk away but he was clearly walking towards the scene, not away from it. At the time he put hands on him. You’re telling me that in 2 years of being at the police department, this officer has FIVE investigations and nobody thought that was weird???
He resigned from a being a cop in Houston due to an investigation of misconduct back in 2019, joined the department in Dickinson a year later, then 2 years after that, this incident occurs. He's been a corrupt POS ever since he became a cop in 2018.

I was arrested decades ago. Requested the dash cam footage, policeman’s said his dash cam didn’t work, wow really... Showed up in court with 3 witnesses, who all corroborated my version of the story. The police report was so factually inaccurate I questioned if they even had the right case. (My favorite part, I as wearing tan dress pants, boots and a green, collared button up shirt. Police report said I was in jeans a T-shirt and gym shoes.) When the ruling came back, after 3 witnesses and pointing out the numerous errors/lies in police report, the judge wrote in the ruling, “frankly I don’t feel the defendant is telling the truth”. Called ME a liar! LOL! It was a total money grab racket in a small town.
This leads to the question as why Police officers are not drug tested before every shift? The system is fucked and will get worse. I remember the days Police officers did not get paid much. Now the government pay more so the officers have more to lose causing them to lie. So they can have a pool and take the family on vacation to Europe. Bribes realy do work sadly.
Happened to me as well. Cop gave me a ticket for running a stop sign when I purposely stopped FOR 10 SECONDS. Because 2 squat cars turned in front of me as I came to the stop sign. Had the entire courtroom, defendants AND cops, laughing at the clueless Sheriff. Judge: “Well, (though you have demonstrably proved the officer was lying) technically, you didn’t declare your innocence, so GUILTY.”
Same thing here. Not arrested, just a traffic accident ticket. I made (an easily) 3-page statement to the cops. When I go to court, the statement the women cop shows was 2 sentences....which were all incorrect (2 things are what the other guy said). Didn't matter, I was found guilty of the ticket. My insurance company even requested the body cam footage before I went to court, and they never supplied it (60 days later). What a bunch of crap.
The US needs to take policing out of the hands of municipalities. Consolidate every tin-pot town and county police force into the state police.
I was arrested by Dickenson police for littering. I was a passenger in a vehicle that was considered to be in a bad part of the town. I was sitting in the truck smoking a cigarette when the police asked me for my ID. I wasn't wanted for anything, I committed no crime. I was asked to exit the vehicle where I was tod to throw down my cigarette, I hesitated because I dotthrow my butts on the ground. But i conformed and did what I was asked to do. I was then arrested for littering. The officers answer when I asked why I was being arrested was" if I can ticket you for it, I can arrest you for it, so you're under arrest..and it was that simple..
Those are the "officers" that need a visit from a stranger from behind
I was put in jail for J walking. So I believer you😮
I would look into that statute because just because something is a ticketable offense does not mean it's an arrestable offense.

If the police departments did their jobs correctly that officer would have been on the Brady List a long time ago and not had an opportunity to injure anyone else.
its why cops are allowed to retire when they do something like this so they can then join another department with no record

I'm a retired cop and current full-time paramedic in Texas. When a paramedic is called to the scene, they become the on-scene commander. Considering the man's age and the nature of injury, (NOI), I would have done everything that I could do to get him to go to the hospital. These cops are a total insult to law enforcement and public servants.
The victim declined the FIRST offer for medical help, after the massive brain injury, I suspect a SECOND offer was never made. I think the cop lied and continued to pretend it was a simple DUI case, this explains why everyone else in the victim's chain-of-custody treated him as if they were just another DUI. This also protects the officer because less evidence would have been collected, there would be no blood draw and subsequent toxicology report, which could potentially prove the victim was sober. Charging the victim with a DUI not only ensured the rest of the department would look the other way (just another deadbeat DUI, who cares), it was the simplest, easiest, and least incriminating way the officer could cover everything up. It just took one lie, but that lie cost precious time for medical treatment and very likely caused the victim's death. Your thoughts?

Or forced to work law enforcement without QI protections, period.
I’m heartbroken for this poor guy. If this was my father I would’ve been furious. He can’t even respond bc of a massive head injury.
I love how you focus on the Constitution and Circuit court rulings. Pros and cons. You keep it neutral and state the facts. You grade by facts and not feelings. Great videos!
He committed felony assault AND murder. Didn't matter that time passed before the poor old guy died - the COP is the one that TOOK HIM OUT. I'm so DISGUSTED right now🤮🤬🤬🤬
RIP Mr.Skerlock. 😢❤
Nobody talked about the initial collision he had with the car. We don't know if he hit his head on the car or roadway, if so may have already had trauma before the cop body slammed him into the ground, striking his head, again. It just makes me sick to realize there are people like that in the world....Callous & Stupid - these may be the two most dangerous qualities for a human being to have.
@@dimitrimatsacos7859What the freak is wrong with you!!! Obviously, he was just fine before that murderous cop gone and flung his head to the curb for "NO REASON" That cop was searching and trying to detain for no reason. He should have gone looking for the person that his him. For the ones ones that say that he was detaining him for his safety....that's not going to hold up well.😳
@@nathanharvey2568There's a reason there, not following his orders rather it lawful or not, that upsets his ego, so he mad, so he forced him to follow his order, the old guy refused, the cop even more furious, thinking to himself "This peasant didn't follow my orders, this peasant hurt my ego, so I need to seriously harm this peasant physically, so the peasant regret refusing my orders!". yep, at this point, I am wondering, why the f are you guys funding these people that sworn an oath to serve and protect, yet they didn't do neither, why these bad apples still being hired in the other departments? Yeah this guy is not been charged, not just him, so many of them are still not being prosecuted from excessive force or murder? Like what is wrong USA? I guess this is what the system is like, when a militarized, not fully trained and lower standards than the US ARMY, see citizens and residents as enemies, that's what you get, right? You all consent to it, so much safety, I am jealous now, at this point, don't call free state, call it safe state, because the officer will make sure you are safe, but in there definitely of safe. I mean, at this point, why are the people in the US citizens allowing this kind of thing happening, like you guys kept on saying, this cop is evil, but not doing anything other than typing in social media, what does it do after that other than the police department release a statement saying "We found our officer no wrong doing." Basically translates to "We gonna cover this up, and you can't do anything about it."
He died after this? Yo they think they're smart.
Victim appeared to be unharmed from the accident, officer comes along and knocks him out by slamming him unto the ground, what kind of BS is this.??
It's like a big fat joke
And even with video evidence, nothing will change.
American BS
The dude got hit on his bike and the cop blew up and slammed him to the ground because he dared ignore an unlawful order. Sickening!
I am so thankful that not all law enforcement is as corrupt and evil as these guys.
Immediately knew that this guy was on a power trip when he went straight to cursing at the guy when he asked what the officer said 😢
Ya, not a great sign...
Exactly! There is no other profession on earth where a person would talk to the people they serve like that and not be immediately fired. He should have been fired just for that. But of course the PD tries to cover it up, and that’s our problem with police these days. Any time there is an internal investigation, it should be done from an outside source. It makes 0 sense.
That struck me as rude and unprofessional. That was so out of left field and uncalled for because he got his big ego hurt for the man questioning his authority. There's no other job where you can talk to people like that.
And then the poor man DIED.
Exactly. The guy was just hit by a car. And could possibly be deaf. But nah, the cop couldn’t possibly just repeat himself louder & slower.
The Bail Judge, also deserves an "F", for failure to render aid, and failure to question the police and Pruitt.
The Bail Judge? Is that what that tapeworm was?
Yes! You could tell that he was a jerk as well! Good Ol’ Boy network!
@@glintinggold The guy behind the wire mesh thing ... I think the voice over said he was a judge. He's a craptacular one, if he is.
Exactly. Was thinking the same thing!!
ABSOLUTELY AGREE THIS WAS MY OBSERVATION TOO.
And because these bad cops have qualified immunity as a protection of prosecution for conduct that in any other circumstance would most definitely be criminal.
Proud public servants. Their compassion is overwhelming.
The fact that an officer can be the subject of FIVE internal affairs investigations and not a single one leads to anything really speaks to what a nothing burger these "preventative measures" against bad actors within the force are.

What an utter disgrace and a PERFECT example of why you should never call the police unless ABSOLUTELY necessary
I would rather call a locksmith, EMS, fire rescue, or even the local crack head for help before I call a cop

Only call cops for monetary purposes like insurance claims
Even when it’s absolutely necessary, you’re still essentially flipping a coin.
The fact the police officer thought it was ok to just curse at a member of the public should be enough to sack him everything else should have him in jail and the rest of them that covered it up.
All of these corrupt-to-the-core towns are what the FBI should be investigating rather than whatever they're blowing their budget on these days.
The entire department is rotten to the core. Everyone knows the symptoms of a concussion, so to leave a 65 year old man in clear need of an immediate hospital trip alone locked in a room all night is tantamount to attempted murder.
This breaks my heart. It’s absolutely disgusting that no cop or anyone at the jail stopped and said “this guy needs help”, they all treated him like an animal. His blood is on all their hands.
Agree!
I can’t fully articulate how horrible I feel about the way this poor man was treated. The cop spoke to him like he wasn’t a human being who is deserving of compassion and respect. He needs to be fired immediately!

I agree. They are so used to dealing with scumbags who do nothing but lie, so their first instinct is that he faking it. The job makes them cynical and indifferent.

perfect example of how a victim becomes the criminal in the cops mind as is assaulted instead of helped
seemed like everything was resolved too. They both knew each other and were gonna go about their day with no issue.
@@nanook6620I know. And the officers let the guy who hit him leave too without "investigating" him.
The guy that was with the victim. I don’t believe that was the driver that hit him. I think one of his friends just happened by and stopped to help? But yes. The whole issue was over. That officer just had to throw his weight around and make something out of absolutely nothing.
@@edthomas6548 So true, good thing we pay all this money so they can create these problems, police state comes to mind. The cop should be serving time for this.
To cops, everyone is a criminal.
This is absolutely sickening . THIS IS MURDER. This was needless. He escalated this innocent situation. Just started cursing at him. Then the investigation was even more sickening. How can the citizens of this area be ok with this?
Citizens are perfectly OK with this, in fact this is what most of them want. Look at how many of them try to destroy Jeff Gray who is standing on the sidewalk with the sign "god bless".
Because so many "back the blue" idiot sheep exist and just blindly bend the knee to the badge.
This is how the police operate in every city in America. The fact the majority of the public still believe the police are there to protect and serve is beyond me. Even the Supreme Court ruled that police has no obligation to protect or to serve. Police are simply there to do the bidding of corrupt politicians and the entire system is setup to confiscate more money from We The People to keep Judges Cops and DAs employed at our expense.
What can the citizenry truly do? Lol, vote? The State has a monopoly on violence plus the near unlimited resources to back it up.....and there's not much if anything that can be done about except bend the knee.
They're not, they have no choice and or don't even know. There is zero accountability anywhere in America. Accountability is the EXTREME exception.

As an emergency responder of over 20 years, the things I have seen in EMS, nursing homes, hospitals, and Law Enforcement, would keep you awake at night. It is important for citizens to learn everything they can to take care of themselves and their loved ones. There's a world of information that you can learn for free. As much as I learned from years of college, Criminal Justice, EMT, Firefighting, Hazmat (operations level), and many other required fields the government requires me to have for my position, I learned much more outside of the classroom. I honestly try to warn people as much as I can about the importance of educating themselves as much as possible. Replace a TV show, especially reality bs, with a book. Look for CPR classes that you can take locally. Anything is better than not being prepared for all of the things that life can throw at you.
Once again, "We have investigated ourselves and found that we did nothing wrong" That thug cop was just looking for an excuse to attack that man.
I was told by an attorney, if you really want justice start holding the chief of police, internal affairs, and the police union all held accountable for allowing these thugs with a history of excessive force “mis conduct” to remain on the job
That uh, didnt have a conclusion?
Cute that the lawyer left out the prosecutor, but otherwise yes. This is basic logic; stop listening to attorneys, even the good ones are indoctrinated.
