@vladshkuratov Жыл бұрын
@vladshkuratov I think that unless you've grown up hearing them and speaking them, accents are pretty hard to nail. Certain letters sound differently though not always depending on the word, and there's certain emphasis either at the beginning, middle, or end of a word; basically, things are said and sound differently with an accent even if your saying the same word/sentence. And it's hard for a lot of people to be consistent with those sounds and fluctuations constantly throughout a movie if they're not used to talking like that. That's why they get coaches or they're just that good

More like embracing her DARKER side which everyone has in real life. Estella still held on to the good parts of herself including the love for her friends and people who loved her. She's just embracing the parts of herself she kept buried and using them for productive purposes. I love this version of Cruella because she's portrayed in such a realistic way in that she shows how everyone is a complex and conflicted being as opposed to the simple good and evil Disney characters and others are known for.

@@yussidahat4781 true, admittedly while this adaptation of cruella is compelling it no longer lines up with the cruella from 101 Dalmatians. But I’d argue that’s just because a lot of the villains in the earlier animations were very one sided and unlikeable characters. I’ve definitely noticed as of the past decade people are definitely wanting and loving more “human” and multi dimensional villains. Villains who are not evil just for the sake of it, but people who you’ve gotten to see their struggles, their traumas and how that molds them into the person they become. It makes you actually care because, in some way, we could all turn into these villains, and we empathize with these people because of what they’ve had to endure but also grieve in some way for who they’ve become to adapt to an unfair world

What an incredible confession monologue! Cruella was born bad, it's in her blood, we see though the movie how se was ''taught to be good'', and she tried to adapt to this, but this personality division always gave her a hard time. She was fighting with her inner true identity. On this scene (which is the best of the film), she finally realizes who she is, who she wants to be, she connects the dots about her past, and accepts her true bad self. She was oppressed all these years, trying to pretend, and now she is finally free and relieved.

Honestly this movie was and still remains one of my favorites of all time. Something about it I just appreciate and love. I thought it was going to be another lifeless remake that was going to end up forgotten (it still did sadly). It was an extremely well written movie. Cruella was one of the best written characters I've seen tbh. The movie isn't so much about her evil-ness and spite but more about how she spiraled into insanity, and how she got to be the villain we all hate in the classic movie 101 dalmatians. Most of these remakes have let me down but this is genuinely one of my favorite movies if not my favorite. I genuinely wish more people talked about this masterpiece of a movie. The way they present Cruella could almost be seen as relatable, not like we're all going crazy, but the frustrations of life. Not to mention Emma Stones immaculate acting. She really portrayed Cruella in the best way. So yeah, that to me is why this movie is truly one of my personal favorites. I wish Disney would make more like this.

One of the things I loved most about this movie was its way of balancing "Cruella" and Estella" throughout the movie. What makes this scene so…chilling in a strange way was how this moment was the birth of what will someday be the madness of Cruella down the road. Because yes, she WILL someday end up like her mother…but before she goes down that path…she does let the one person who love her know that she always had loved her stepmother. And it makes us…well, at least me wonder….that if she could have seen her future self at that moment she would probably ask: “…what happened to you…? To me…that made you forget…that “WE” are nothing like her…but better…?”

It's Emma Stone After all, she's a genius in term of acting
even tho she’s american, she totally nails the accent
i honestly thought she was british for a minute
I thought She is british
Why do people think accent is a hard thing to do…
@vladshkuratov I think that unless you've grown up hearing them and speaking them, accents are pretty hard to nail. That's why they get coaches or they're just that good
I LOVED how the film gave us sympathy for her, but still showed us that she's crazy and dangerous. It didn't make it boring at all. Fabulous film ❤
I have a question. This is for school. Would this count as a soliloquy?
While I'm sure Catherine wouldn't approve of Cruella embracing her wicked side, I bet she WOULD approve of Cruella getting the baroness arrested 4 her un4givable crimes.
Agreed. The 1 thing I'm sure she'd be proud of
:C WHY DID CATHERINE DIEE 😭😭😭😭😭
More like embracing her DARKER side which everyone has in real life. Estella still held on to the good parts of herself including the love for her friends and people who loved her. She's just embracing the parts of herself she kept buried and using them for productive purposes. I love this version of Cruella because she's portrayed in such a realistic way in that she shows how everyone is a complex and conflicted being as opposed to the simple good and evil Disney characters and others are known for.
Possibly in the sequel we’ll see her dive deeper into the dark side and loses estella’s good qualities and become the sociopath we know
This scene made me shed a tear. I love how misunderstood some villains truly are.
When we're kids, we love the heroes. But when we're adults, we understand the villain
It makes you actually care because, in some way, we could all turn into these villains, and we empathize with these people because of what they’ve had to endure but also grieve in some way for who they’ve become to adapt to an unfair world
@@yussidahat4781 EXACTLY
@@chipstarshine8150 "All villains are victims" is a phrase I've heard. It's kind of true, like when you see true crime stuff and the perpetrators have something sad in their past.
@@yussidahat4781 You can sort of feel bad for these people.
Catherine Miller was more of a mother to Estella/Cruella than the baroness ever was
The Baroness was nothing to her. She wanted Cruella to die after she was born
@@billybletsos4758 Exactly
@@lightheart5 that makes her the true villain apart from Cruella
Which makes Catherine's death even more sad. She actually luved Cruella and only wanted the best 4 her
That's right. She cared for her more
The fact that this scene is one shot makes it million times better.
the oscars are gonna snub this movie but it deserves a lot of nominations. actress, supporting actress, costumes, production design, makeup, etc. this is one the best movies of the year.
The score is great too, especially in this scene!
@@Ichenmeis it feels so emotional and sad
Best film I've seen in years.
Omg can’t wait to watch it! Just found this scene by chance.
it won for Best Costume Design
What an incredible confession monologue! Cruella was born bad, it's in her blood, we see though the movie how se was ''taught to be good'', and she tried to adapt to this, but this personality division always gave her a hard time. She was fighting with her inner true identity. On this scene (which is the best of the film), she finally realizes who she is, who she wants to be, she connects the dots about her past, and accepts her true bad self. She was oppressed all these years, trying to pretend, and now she is finally free and relieved.
But at the same time she's able to hold on to all the good parts that really matter and make her a better person than her monster of a mother.
Please what's the name of the movie

Amazing scene, epic acting.

Cruella will forever be the best movie ever
Out of all Disney live action films
@@billybletsos4758 i think little mermaid will come close to this one
@@wrightfamily7381 it is gonna suck. I've seen the set photos and heard the news. I don't like where it's going. Cruella would arguably be the best live action film from Disney yet
@@wrightfamily7381 this aged well
I love this scene from this brilliant prequel film of Disney's villian Cruella. Cruella is talking to her adopted mother's spirit (Catherine) in her mind about what she's been doing and telling her that she's gonna make things right (getting revenge on the Baroness)
This was easily one of the best films in a live action Disney film to date. This whole scene was utterly brilliant and it had an almost Shakespearean quality! I had doubts about Emma Stone but this film made me reassess my entire opinion of her.
I am typically not a Disney fan these days..especially with the live action movies. But I remember when I first saw Cruella I was just blown away. Still a must to add to my movie library.
probably the last good movie they ever make 😭
This movie was like. A ton better than I thought it was gonna be
Honestly this movie was and still remains one of my favorites of all time.
Amazing acting. Epic scene. Emma Stone is pure Talent.
She’s gonna win the OSCARS GRANDIOSE EMMA STONE!
Please hope so
One of the things I loved most about this movie was its way of balancing "Cruella" and Estella" throughout the movie. Having Estella with the ego side "Cruella" in the beginning until she slowly becomes "Cruella". It really gave the lead character more of a 3-deminsional side and more character development than to just have her be Cruella at the start of the film.
This scene resonated the most with me .
The other Oscars this movie should've been nominated for: Best Actress (Emma Stone) Best Supporting Actress (Emma Thompson) Best Director (Craig Gillespie) Best Cinematography Best Film Editing Best Production Design
That woulda meant that it’d had to take the place of other films
Oh my. I just. Really, REALLY love her look! She's beautifully attractive and my favourite
Thank you so much for this. I love the monologue, honestly, best scene in the movie for me.
Her eyes...they speak themselves...❤
I needed this so f”ing much
Loved how it was all done in one shot! Sheer brilliance! Just like her audition scene in La La Land
She deserves an oscar nomination
Well she got a golden globe nomination. Though the best actress race was pretty tight this year
Can we just reflect on the fact that this was all one long take? Emma Stone hasn't done much live theater, but this entire monologue REALLY highlights her acting abilities. It would have been SO EASY for an actress to lean into the campiness of Cruella DeVil, but Emma managed to make it all completely 100% believable without it feeling forced.
I loved this part of the movie!! It made me say bravo and I was clapping and it was just so much emotions. It honestly made me think back all the way back to my very first memory to where I'm at now all of that played out.
There is just something incredibly stirring about the one and lost love of an uncaring villain. The fact that they loved once and in some way still do. And it was that love that pushed them over the edge. It just hits close to heart. Makes it that much. . . . more.
Literally my favorite scene in the entire movie..
This gave me chills
Everyone’s fave was the fashion scenes but to me, this is the best scene in the entire movie, like BEST oscar-worthy dialogue. Just amazing.
So this is a confusing day My nemesis Is my real mother And she killed my other mother I guess you were always scared Weren’t you, that I’d be a psycho Like my real mum *hmmm* That explains all the “Tone it down, try and fit in” stuff Love me into shape I suppose was the plan And I tried I really, I tried because I loved you But the thing is I’m not sweet Estella Try as I might I never was I’m cruella, born brilliant Born bad, and a little bit mad I’m not like her I’m better Anyways, must dash Much to avenge revenge and destroy But I do love you Always
ThankYOUUU SO MUCH FOR THIS!! Cant find it anywhere in google for a monolouge

Phenomenal performance from Emma Stone. Can’t wait for the sequel!
This was one of the best villain monologues I've ever heard!! I get chills every time. Emma Stone deserves that award.
gives me goosebumps such a good performance
So perfect... she is perfect!!! Thanks emma for this amazing work.
I think it’s interesting that she says “I DO love you” in the present tense rather than “I DID love you” in the past tense.
There's a part of me that wonders how much more of an effect it would've had if she shed one singular tear during that brilliant monologue.
This scene was so wonderful done by Emma totally balance both of good and evil which is so difficult to be even in real life .
Estella Miller/ Von Hellman May Be Dead But Cruella De Vil is Alive and ready to make a statement darlings
Love this monologue
I’m surprised by how much I actually liked this film, scenes like this actually make it really good!
This scene is one of the best acting ever and ever!
As Stefon from SNL would say. This movie has everything. A lil drama, comedy, action , violence and horror. Truly a remarkable masterpiece. Emma Stone was brilliant.Emma Thompson was the meanest villainess since Margaret Hamilton, the witch of the West Too think of it, this movie has the same genres as the wizard of oz.

The best villain origin story.
Her love for her adopted mother was so touching 🥹
Is just one of the various scenes in this amazing movie.
I’m not gonna lie, this was a brilliant movie. From the music, the plot, the acting, the cinematography and the outfits this was the greatest movie of 2019.
2021. & yes! I loved it too

One of my favorite live action movies next to Malificent
It shows that we should always look at people on both sides. If someone is always negative, understand them. What is their backstory? Their pain?
Best scene
When me and my mom saw this she was hesitant and was not sure she would like it now it’s one of her favorite movies and we watch it all the time
can this be use for declamation piece?? \
The best scene epic.. this movie is not for kids
Truly not for kids. Only teen and over
Maybe not even a teen, but a mature one. The darkness is hard for a child to understand in this movie. Heck, not even the cartoon was appropriate for children. It had hate messages and other adult things.
Agreed. It’s for the adults who grew up watching the original 😁
Um..it's more for kids than most others Disney films. Mulan deals with the massacre of a whole village! Pocahontas is about attempted genocide and also war. This is ridiculously tame compared to that. 😑
The Oscar’s is snubbing this movie I’m so upset , Emma deserves a best actress award
can you recommend comedic monologues i have audition tomorrow
Emma Stone doing monologues >>>>>
does anyone know what the background music is??
Oscar 👏🏻👏🏻
“…much to avenge, revenge and destroy…” is my personal favorite part… Tisn’t exceptional thespian work but tis good. Her body expressions carries the weight of her monologue filling in what she lacks elsewhere. To add a personal touch, Cruella’s fictional backstory parallels, in a manner of spake, my own nonfictional one. Could she be my true soulmate and love?
Would you consider this monologue a soliloquy?
1:58 so badass and so is 2:22 😍🖤
Does anyone know where I can find backing music like this?
We had to watch this in Drama class for our Monologue performance, that's why I'm here

At this point after learning a dirty secret, Estella fully embraces her Cruella alter-ego and plans to avenge her adoptive mother's death and expose her biological mother's dirty secret by revealing who she really is.
Does anyone know the background music for this?
this film did not get the love it deserved, imo it’s Disney’s best live action film they have put out in years. edit: if they do a sequel, i want it to be 101 Dalmatians with this same universe. i’d want emma to still play Cruella but she would have to be aged which is where the problem comes in.
