  • I know 100% I’m biased because I’m Canadian and a welterweight, but GSP is who I immediately think of when I think of the term “consummate champion”. His capacity for humility and and his desire for self improvement, not just as a fighter but as a human being, inspire me everyday. And he is this freakishly capable fighter who managed to excel at disciplines that, on paper, made no fucking sense considering both his background and his opponents. He was one of the most technically sound and dominant fighters of his time if not all time, to incorporate wrestling into his skillset despite having ZERO pure wrestling pedigree. And his ground game was so dominant that people sometimes forgot how nasty of a striker he was, and the fluidity with which he melded these different worlds together was game changing. He was truly, in my opinion, the first COMPLETE mixed martial artist and anyone who’s a fan of the sport can never be grateful enough to him for what he did to advance the sport. And he did all of this while being one of the most genuine, kind hearted people I’ve ever had the privilege of meeting. I ran into him by fluke chance one day and l couldn’t stop myself from gushing about how “you’ve inspired me so much to be resilient in my challenges and humble in my triumphs, thank you so much for existing as you do because you changed my life.” And this fucking guy just looked at me and said “I didn’t change anything about your life, you changed your life because YOU are resilient and humble. And I should be the one thanking you and everyone like you who supports me because I could never have the livelihood and i did without the millions of complete strangers who believed in me.” Fucking incredible human being.

  • Let's not forget!!!!! Bisping was FIGHTING WITH ONE EYE 👁️ IMHO he is the BMF . Literally in a league of his own.😊

  • I love GSP, and I love Bisping. What's funny is that when both guys were first starting out, I didn't really like either of them, but as the years went by, and they kept building their resume's, and outlasted so many other guys, they became two of my favorite fighters ever. The Bisping detractors should listen to GSP speaking about Bisping. GSP has a lot of respect for Bisping as a fighter, and as a man. Bisping was one of GSP's toughest, and strongest opponents. That was one hell of a fight between GSP, and Bisping for the belt. That was a fight I never thought I would see, especially for such high stakes. What's crazy about it is that Bisping only had one good eye, and GSP had been out of the sport for a few years, but you could never tell by just watching the fight. They were both as prepared as they could be for that fight, and it showed because they gave us a great show.
