The only things I would say that could’ve been helpful is adding LED strip lighting to the closet spaces on either sides and maybe some pull out drawers underneath the steps to alleviate the negative space. • Design a Murphy bed that has a cabinet as the box spring area/bottom area underneath where the mattress would be so that when the bed is put up then you have 2 double doors to look at which open up to an arts n crafts storage space. Then when the Murphy bed is pulled out the cabinet acts as the support frame for the bed. You'll have to buy double attachments to screw inside the cabinet doors so that the doors stay firmly clicked shut until yanked on so you can pull the bed out often. Also if you're worried of the cabinet weighing too much once filled then go to your local tool store and buy a small electric wench that you can open and close the bed with.

  • Everything looks great. My only suggestion is that I would have made the area under those steps into drawers, just to maximize the use of the space even more rather than letting them be hollow and empty. Other than that, it came out great and looks like it could have always been part of the space.

    @neferazure@neferazure Жыл бұрын
    • I totally expected these to be drawers actually but yeah still awesome!👌 Also he could still make them into drawers 😅

    • All the way through I was thinking just that. Especially keeping the two side spaces accessable for hanging clothes etc. Although the workspace ceiling is unavoidably low I would be continually bumping my head when getting out of the chair....

    • I think it’s a closet. I saw him put his jacket in there.

      @maryannkom299@maryannkom299 Жыл бұрын
    • @MaryAnn Kom I'm not referring to the closet. There is some small space under the steps that are not part of the closet because he placed a wall there. This left small rectangular spaces under each of those steps. what I'm saying is, I would have made those small rectangular spaces into storage drawers to further maximize the use of that space.

      @neferazure@neferazure Жыл бұрын
    • That seems to be the case in many of these builds, I always wonder that if you are building in a restrictive area why would you leave so much dead space, after all isn't the point to get as much use out of the limited area that you have ?.
