  • This is why Russia is proceeding slowly. Putin understands that defeat in Ukraine will be a major trauma for Western misleaders. They need time to process what is happening and hopefully arrive at a rational response. If Russia moved too quickly or powerfully the West might be panicked into triggering Armageddon. We are on the edge. This is a crucial and pivotal moment in human history.

  • Simple question: Why are there American military bases in the UK, Italy, Germany, Spain, etc., but there are no military bases in the UK, Italy, Germany, etc. in the US? Answer: because the USA is the dominant country, and all these countries are lackeys. They have never been partners, they have always been lackeys, in fact they have no freedom, no sovereignty. The US gives the order and they carry it out

Shortly thereafter the peace was interrupted again, and Yanks had to come over again. They called that WWII. So, they preposition stuff, who knew ? Read any books lately? Germany and Taiwan used to train in US. Obviously other countries as well. Heard of Google?

The fact that Brits and Germans can train in the USA doesn't mean automatically who owns the base. The essential facts are who owns the base and which country's legal system is valid on the territory of the base. Give some proof, please. Our Sgt said to us on one occasion: "If you are fighting alongside the Yanks, beware of this: Suppose you are held up by a machinegun post, the British way of dealing with it, would be to try to sneak a group in behind it and attack it from the rear while the rest of the platoon, company or regiment, kept it busy from the front. The Yank's way of dealing with it, would be to call up the airforce and give them the coordinates of this machinegun post and then the airforce would come and destroy it. However, if you ever do call up the US airforce, to deal wih such an obstacle, you had better make f'ing sure that you have some bl*ody good cover, because they will flatten the whole area, including you, if you arent careful!"

  • Every time I hear the 'gas station...' reference and every time I hear some Western spokesperson refer to washing machine parts or now imported technological weaponry as descriptors for how, dare I say it 'primitive' or 'incompetent' Russia is, I am reminded of all those Hollywood sci-fi movies of past decades, where the trope was always Russian MIR cosmonauts using pipe wrenches to bang & bash bits & pieces of their station to make it work -- because of course they had neither the intelligence, skill set or equipment to build it or manage it to western standards. It seems to me that what passes itself off as professional "intelligence' reporting is nothing more than regurgitation of those Hollywood tropes. Not surprising that those terms, or cherished cultural beliefs are profligated ad nauseam by Western Governments, think tanks & academics who it seems to me are more concerned with an Orwellian "war as Entertainment" program than they are over their own nation's well being.

    @SuperSusan34@SuperSusan34Ай бұрын
    • I thought that trope was demonstrating how Russians are pragmatic mechanical geniuses and that the equipment wasn't always the best. American's generally like Russians unless those Americans are curren-year propagandized dimwits. The Cold War scared a lot of people all over the world. What the Soviets did to their own people was a horror show. Only when the Wall came down did that fear began to decrease. Even so, some in the West wouldn't let it go. They're stuck in the past. They think that Russia is still the Soviet Union of Stalin's day. Either that, or they're stupidly thinking that they should make enemies of Russia and they'll profit. Thankfully, US hegemony is collapsing under greed and corruption. We weren't virtuous enough to sustain the gifts we inherited from our forebears. This saddens me beyond belief. It has made the lives of most Americans far more difficult than it should be and destroyed the morals and morale of all my countrymen. They have robbed young men of a future. This is how you destroy a nation -- give its young men nothing to live for and nothing to fight for. The young men of Russia should be proud. They're well-led by men who have strategic minds. I'm ashamed of all the leaders of the West. Their every public appearance yields ever more embarrassment. They strut around proudly yammering about their Grand Plans but they aren't even qualified to manage a McDonalds, much less, a nation. They speak like they lead a conquering superpower but they're just exhausting the last dregs of preeminence they inherited from better men. They are why the fable of the "Emperor's New Clothes" was created. All the sycophants appreciate the finery of our leaders but even a child can see that they wear nothing. The US ceased to be a reality-based society long ago. Probably the late 60s - the Boomer generation. They valued style over substance and it spread like a virus though all the delusions they cast to sell crap to each other. Every denial of the truth is a debt to reality. When reality comes to collect, the reckoning has interest. It's fitting that the nation collapses under the leadership of the Boomers -- in government, finance, and business. They deluded themselves as they deluded the public. They got high on their own supply of BS. They thought themselves righteous while destroying laws and freedoms to indebt everyone else to their own profit. They better hope there's no God. What's more, they better hope that whoever runs this show we call reality isn't accounting for their immoral selfishness in the next frame.

    • I agree,, what's even more disgusting than the "gas station with a government" propaganda or the brain-dead quips about titanium shovels or drones with washing machine chips, is the CONSTANT flow of bullcrap from World of Warcraft "generals" or World of warships "admirals" about how badazz NATO weaponry is and how all the Russian weaponry is third class or running out or whatever... all this military stroke-off stuff from people who,, pardon the cliche but who sit around mom's basement in Cheeto - stained underwear doing video games rather than running to their recruiter to sign up for the fun... Because if anyone interested wanted to see what wall Street's template for their plans for Russia are, all they have to do is look at Central America: a bunch of resource rich,, politically fragmented and economically desperate stoogedoms,, the right-wing military dictatorship governments running death squads to keep the peasants from forming unions and all aligned with the Washington maintained drug war to keep the drugs flowing to America and to keep the cash flowing to the military industrial complex... And since westerners aren't aware of the plans, it's like why shouldn't Russia just submit to Wall Street? After all,, as Cucker Tarlson said, why shouldn't Russia hook themselves to the kinder gentler superpower of Wall Street, rather than China? I'm really surprised President Putin didn't immediately start laughing and order Tarlson out of the building,, with Putin telling him he's got 5 minutes before he releases the hounds LOL......

The same happened in South and Central America: the people there turned to the Christian Catholic religion and to the Spanish language, yet they are not Spanish. They are still the descendants of the Aztec, Maya, Inca, Quechua, Aymara, Mapuche, Taino peoples that were inhabiting those places since millennia ago.. The Arabs, original from Yemen, Oman and Saudi Arabia (region that the Romans called Arabia Felix) did NOT move to the Levant in significant numbers, that could have genetically altered the population in the Levant (Palestine, Lebanon, Jordan, Syria)

This would suggest Gagauzia and Moldova will have different energy arrangements. In a bold move, the unrecognized Republic of Gagauzia is threatening to secede from Moldova - if it joins up with Romania & seeks accession to the EU. • Budapest Memorandum broken by Russia

      @HK-zf7op@HK-zf7opАй бұрын
    • No they're not. All laws, whether municipal or international, are subject to be either obeyed or broken as the case may be. Municipal laws are in fact more broken by citizens to whom they're addressed than international laws and that doesn't make municipal laws mere ink on paper. What you should understand is that no laws are obeyed 100 percent. It never happens. That said, not everyone is breaking international laws, only a few rogue nations do, and when they do they're rightly called out as outlaws. International laws provide guidance and standard of behavior and judgement as just happened at the ICJ against Israel. Absence international treaties there would be no basis at all to condemn Israel genocide in Gaza or for South Africa to drag her to the ICJ. Now Israel is being regarded as an international outlaw! It can no longer run around calling itself "civilized" nation. So is the US and indeed the entire West supporting her. Israel is suffering because of that. Think about that. It has lost face as an outlaw even at the UN. That's huge damage diplomatically, politically, and even economically, thanks to international law.

  • Towards the end of WW2 the British air force used bombs weighing ten metric tons, three times bigger than the Russian Federations largest glide bombs, the British bombs were never that effective, although they did deafen and kill a lot of people. Incidentally, The German air force used glide bombs very effectively in the Easters Aegean toward the end of WW2 against British naval targets, the bombs had an element of remote control and practically never missed. The British were defeated in this theatre and forced to withdraw, and the big Italian guns of Leros remained in place until the end of the war.
