Taking a grill from a 48 Buick and bumper from a 51 Oldsmobile and cutting it up to fit on the front of the Chopped 49 Chevy Fleetline. Its all in the little details that make it work

  • My mind = 🤯 Working with parts where there are potentially very difficult to find if something get messed up is nothing for Tony. I would’ve had an anxiety filled fit and probably would’ve walked away. Outstanding work Tony! You never cease to impress

  • We are all used to seeing your amazing technical skills at fabrication and welding, but your work on this Chevy is pure sculpture too, and you are doing a truly beautiful job. And your explanations and tips are as good as ever; the 3" wide card trick for seeing how a cut piece will match up is brilliant. Thank you Tony

  • Tony, I have no words. As far as im concerned your could go head to head with people like Chip Foose and Boyd Coddington when he was alive. Your an amazing craftsman. This video to me blew my mind. That car is going to be incredible. It deserves to be a featured Sema car.

  • Basically, Tony's condensed probably a decades' worth of 'little mags' 'how to' articles into one episode. I knew several years ago, when I first came across this channel that if anyone could simply show me, simply, how those masters of metal craftsmanship achieved what they did 'back in the day', Fitzee was to be that man. He's fulfilled that quest many times over in the intervening years and in this single episode, I believe, he's earnt his status of honour, along side those masters from the '20's-'60s, who transformed the mundane into visual and tactile wonders of automotive sensuality. The very top, of top quality craftsmanship and tutorage, Sir. Sir, very-very, well done. Thank you.

  • Wow! Your experience is really coming out in this video. You are definitely a master of metal. It would be a shame if this bumper didn't get chromed but I understand why it wouldn't. Great job Fritzee and thank you so much for showing us your process, it's such a cool process to see how you take your imagination to real metal finish work. There is a lot of work there that you do that we don't see but we all know what you were doing. Amazing work!!!!!

  • Your vision and skil is top shelf. No matter what the project is, it's always interesting and informative even if it's something I ll never do because parts of the video can be transfered to something similar. A couple of weeks ago I saw a video of a guy down in the states. It caught my eye because of the car the was being rebuilt. I watched a couple of episode's and the project was looking real good but something was not right. Every little piece that wasn't perfect was replaced with a new replacement panel. There were a bunch of every tool you could think of. The shop was huge and spotless but therewas no challenge and instead of how you explain everything, he was telling how good it was goingto look. You style is real and your the man!

  • Hey Tony, I was at the local lumber yard a couple days ago with my 64 F100. They were really amazed at such a nice survivor!😊 Problem is I've got hundreds of hours to make it look that way. My front bumper was from a newer model and was to wide and didn't fit the "chin" piece that fills the gap between the grill and bumper. I narrowed it 1 1/2" on each side and welded 3/4" wide 1/8" bar stock to the top edge and scribed and ground it to get the proper reveal / overlap to the filler. Looks factory!😊 All the work I did to make it look like I didn't touch it is like peeing yourself in a blue suit. It gives you a warm feeling but nobody notices!!😅 Thank for the great tips!

  • I hear you, on the cost of chroming... I have a place, within 20 miles of me... They have a relatively poor reputation, and charge an arm and a leg. I spoke with a fella who had the chrome replated, for his Classic Truck... It looked kinda "Meh" (you could see sanding marks, and lots of swirls) and it cost him over $10,000... He was "Pissed". They want $2000 each, to do my Nova bumpers, and I can buy new ones, for about $500 each... I have no idea how they stay in business. Anyway, I'm going to do Matte Black bumpers, for the time being... $1000 + shipping, would go a long ways towards other things of higher importance, on my build... I Love the way you designed the front end, bumper/grille set-up. Keep up the Awesome Work. ❤❤❤

  • Hi Tony. The grill and bumper are starting to match up really nice. I don't know how you can visualize the different pieces flowing together to form one unit. You hang the parts up, do a little nip and tuck here and there, and it all works together. It is a real talent. Too bad about chrome plating being so expensive. There are lots of other options though. Today's cars don't have hardly any chrome on them. Nice work!

Turned out great! 95% the look of chrome just a tinge bit less glossy, also on the satin side (might go with the paint scheme). Did all the pieces on the bike for $250 US. The chrome quote I got from Pittsburg was $2,000 and 6 weeks, You can see the bike on my channel CR Nuts Motorsports.
