She can only ball bash but in this tournament the bashes are all going in. She plays cavewoman tennis just bashing, no strategy, no thought.

Of the less than 10 defensive/finesse shots I’ve recall her hit in this highlight reel, she only used one of them to win the point. Not sure how this makes her not a baseline/power player but ok (as compared to Jauber’s several winners off finesse shots even though she lost, Keys’s identity is not built around finesse/counter-punching). Granted, didn’t watch the whole match but I think the point that her play style is heavily reliant on aggressive shots is not incorrect even if she’s winning

Mind boggling that Ons bageled Madison in the 1st set only to lose this match. Ons has a big problem of consistency. She gets intimidated easily with the likes of Madison.

If you chart the performance levels of both players in this match, it would literally look like X. It is a mystery how someone can go from playing that good at the beginning of the match, to playing that bad at the end (or vice versa in the case of Keys).
It's not a mystery if you play tennis. 😉

Well, Keys did manage 14 points in the first set. Frankly, I'm not interested in watching either women play tennis. Keys generally disappoints with her unfocused play and Jabuer seems to always fall back on her tricky stuff. I don't see either ever winning a slam.
This is just getting sad at this point for Ons…wow…..

Madison used to be all over the place at one point of time. She seems much more settled in her body language now. As for Ons, she was better this tournament, but I'm afraid her best days might be behind her.
