As a V8 Vantage owner of 4 years, your points cover very well. Overall these are very usable cars. You can see the ones which are well looked after. Buy well and maintain it and you will never regret it. As they age, theres a much better understanding of them and a bigger supply of parts... ie genuine Brembo brake pads from autodoc at a 3rd of the price of the Pagid ones!.
Had my DB9 Volante for two years now. Biggest cost as you say are the coil packs as they are not easy to get at. Changing the plugs at the same time. Only other cost I have incurred is a new radiator. One other common issue, that I have also, is the infamous 'window drop' problem. Not sure if its low battery, although I have it on a Ctek trickle charge when not in use. Could be the regulator itself. All in all, it is a fabulous car. Only problem really is that when you are driving it, you can't look at it!
Your spot on with all your comments , iv owned my db9 from new for 20 years now , always knew when I bought it , I was buying it for life , my headliner gave way so had to get that refitted by a specialist , renewed all the front leather as the sun shrunk it as you said aswell as the rear parcel shelf as that also shrunk from sun damage , change my ski slope to bamboo 2 years ago as the original walnut cracked and came away , one little tip always look at the read button as if it’s worn out its owners pressing it every time they start the car to clear the warnings on the dash board , I would recommend anyone who likes astons to look at the db9 as in general it’s very robust , be careful though to make sure it doesn’t tick once properly warmed up as that could be a £20k at worst repair bill . I service mine every other year by a specialist , currently I’m on 65k miles ( loved everyone of them ) . I drive it to Spain every few years to my home there just for the sheer fun factor . Great car ❤️❤️❤️
They’re great value now at under £30k and will do huge mileage if kept well serviced 👍
Thank you so much for sharing this! I am about to buy one and this was very helpful.
Pleased to be of assistance. Shame you’re not buying from me 😉
Recorded horizontally:)
Excellent and very helpful video...Absolutely stunning car!
You’re welcome 👍
Is that meteriorite grey? Was looking at vantages after seeing how affordable they became. Might get one in silver or this nuce grey like your db9
There should be zero corrosion on the front wings as they're composite....
Great car, as the owner of Db9 took it to Aston Installations they turned my car from a great car into an awesome one! Really recommended.
Really useful hints and tips there Kevin. Great video👍👍👍
Thanks Nick, hopefully of some help to someone 🙏
Lovely car and great vid, what is the economy like on the v12's? How many lamp posts to the gallon?
All depends on how you drive it Ian 😂
Never knew a Ford blade and Volvo fob !!!!
Yes, the sat nav is Volvo too 🤫
What sort of cost and I get a good Aston Martin for? Just looking for an approximate figure
35 k is a good starting point for a 2007 DB9 or V8V which is very well looked after with under 40k Miles
Has my DB9 for 10 years, loved it
