  • My husband and I were engaged for a year, was halfway through building our home and we broke up for 10 months. When we did find our way back to each other, it was so much better than before. We both realized what we had lost while we were apart. Two kids and 22 years later, we are so happy! We have never looked back! ❤❤❤

  • My exhusband and I broke up for 4 1/2 years. Had to navigate co-parenting our two young kids and divorce, just for us to find our way back together. We’ve been together now 2 years and have almost 1 year old twins. Happier than ever. We both needed time by ourselves to figure out who we were. We were so young when we dated and had our first two kids. It is possible to have a beautiful strong relationship with an ex.

  • Dated my boyfriend at 18 for 4 months. We broke up after he turned 21 and we were apart for about a year and a half. Came back together out of the blue and worked on things for about 8 months before officially dating again and now we’ve been back together for almost 5 years. It really all depends on the situation.

  • I also have Wolf-Parkinson-White Syndrome and found out I had it when I was pregnant with my 1st baby. My heart felt like it was going to beat out of my chest it was beating so fast. I went to hospital and my heart rate was over 200 and was like that for around a day or so. The first hospital er I went to had no idea what was going on with my heart so they life flighted me to a bigger hospital. They didn’t know what was going on at first either since the condition is so rare. It took me throwing up because of morning sickness to throw my heart back into a normal rhythm. The doctors talked about doing an ablation, but didn’t since my HR went back to normal. It is so amazing to hear that you have the same condition I do. I still get episodes that only last for a few minutes or so every so often, but it crazy that I didn’t know I had it until I was pregnant! Love the podcast by the way!

  • I started following you a while ago because your content was so sincere with good values and fun to watch. Lately I have noticed a difference in how you title your videos and what kind of topics you choose to dwell on. People don't need to know everything about the private life of couples. And Matt, there is nothing shameful in the beautiful things happening within a marriage. I'm writing this only because I think you have such a beautiful family and a lot of potential as creators. Don't let fame or money or the expectations of others overshadow your values!

  • I told my husband that my ideal would have been for him to propose and us to get married 5 minutes later. We tried for a 4 month engagement but our church wasn't available the only date that worked for us and our families that month so we ended up waiting 5 months instead. From meeting to marriage was 15 months and it was perfect, but we were 26 when we met. We merged our finances when we were still dating because we knew after just a couple months. And yes, we waited because we both believe to strive for obedience to what the Bible says. I actually had cancer when we were first married but we had our baby girl earlier this year and she is such a miracle. We had an easy, fast, unmedicated water birth at a birth center with just my husband and midiwfe there. We got to go home 2.5 hours after delivery and all slept so well in our own beds. Those early newborn days were so incredibly sweet for us.

  • I have been with my husband 17 years and married 9 1/2. 2 previous, very abusive marriages in my past and 1 not so great marriage for him. He asked me, out of the blue at a beautiful restaurant. We picked my rings, wedding dress and other dresses on Amazon. Our path is different than yours. We are much older. I went into marriage #1 thinking for better or worse and it was abusive. Husband #2 beat me all the time. I had another child without marriage and my husband is gifting my youngest with HIS last name. I love your podcast.

  • Natural family planning is absolutely a valid way to prevent pregnancy, as long as it’s practiced faithfully. Also, NFP is NOT “the pull out method” 😂 We use NFP, and our youngest is 9, so…. 🙌🏼
