Eleanor deserves to be spoiled. She is a beautiful Bison. Thank uou for posting.
Dusty, you are in my grandfather's club, one bullet, one kill. Excellent marksmanship. He was a true hunter/gatherer, and had one rule of one bullet one kill. Eleanor is deserving of all the goodies she gets.
Great shot Dusty !!! I hope there aren’t many more ! Don’t take much for them to tear up a field . Princess Elinor knows she’s special and gets extra love !! It’s a wonder the Bison didn’t chase the pig away ! Loved seeing the Big Joe.. he wants his attention too ! Great job Dusty , protecting your land .
Great shot! Enjoyed your video!
He has seen 3 at least.
pig asking "are you my mother"
If there are no small calves then the pig is not a threat to the buffalo. And they eat different things, so no competition. Which means they don’t chase the pig. But pigs are disease vectors and can ruin a pasture. And they can have three litters a year, 9 to 15 in a litter
They can tear up the liddle ones!
I think the way you care for your animals is to be commended. Miss Eleanor is definitely the Queen and Big Joe the King.
Good shot , Eleanor loves her cubes ❤️
I get the feeling your bison are looking at you thinking, "Are you seeing this ? Are you gonna do something ? Or do we have to ? We're not sharing our cubes!"
Haha
Do you eat the wild pigs?
@@glendaruff125 don't know if he does, but I would. Better than farmed pork, much more lean.
@@glendaruff125some people eat them.
@@user-zb2ux2gc2l A grown boar often has meat that's so gamey, it tastes terrible - lean or not.
The bison didn't trust the wild pig as they kept chasing it away. Good job!!! Your brother in law has an awesome wild boar trap. You are doing your best to protect your livestock.
Great shot. It’s so nice to see Eleanor up close.
Love your videos and enjoy watching them every time. May the lord bless and protect you and your family and the bison. You have the right to protect your bison
This is awful. That poor pig had every right to live. I hope you're not using the bison for food. Is that why you're caring for them?
That poor pig has a gazillion family and friends that would soon invade his pastures 🤦♀️
OK, did you look at the damage to the ground done by that pig? Dusty, cole,++++ have been working HARD to return his pastures to native plants which provide for native pollinators and original native grasses. This has been hard to bring back and the State staffers are working closely with Dusty to this goal. So, to you, this goal should be put aside for one feral hog? The restoration of native grass lands should be sacrificed for feral destructive hogs???? I am sorry, I do not see it this way. You would risk the health of all the bison for a disease carrying feral hog. What would you have Dusty do? How would you choose to have him resolve it? You heard there is 365/6 day of the year season on feral hogs. The key word here is feral. As he said; feral hogs can have 3 to 4 litters of upwards 8+ piglets yearly. Multiply that by hundreds of sows, that equals HUGE problems for all agriculture industry.
Doss Farms had two of their pigs get out. One like the one you just caught and another smaller a pot belly pig, red paint. 😮
Looked like you got that pig on the first shot to me. Didn’t look like the second shot did anything. The Bison definitely don’t like the pigs! Good job Dusty!
Well done, Dusty! You have to defend your farm and the animals. Well done.
Great Shot!!! One less problem. Daniel is a great brother-in-law for sharing their equipment. We enjoy watching his channel also. We are loving our new Jerky and our new shirts! Thank you. Wearing and enjoying them in Washington State.
Holy cow, Dusty!! That is great. What a shot you are.
Great video Dusty! This is a perfect example for those who don’t get it!
Good video. Excellent hunting, Dusty! Really great. Those bison didn't like him.
That’s great Dusty, so glad you got him! Enjoyed seeing the Bison. Thank you!
Damn good shot Rusty! Hard to do among other animals. Love to Eleanor! ❤
Good job Dusty!!! Our hogs got out of their pen one time & got in with our cattle!!! Our cattle tromped a sow & killed her!!! They all got along with the fence between them but when they actually got in with the cattle they didn't like it at all!!! She was one of our most productive sows but animals are animals!!! Love Y'all & God Bless!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Great job getting the pig. Eleanor is so precious. Always love seeing you give her special treatment. Big Joe says thanks for getting that pest out of our pasture. GOD bless Y'all.
One down; two to go. 🎉 Always love seeing Big Joe and Eleanor. 🤗❤️
Love how the bison were like “heck no. You aren’t allowed to root up our pasture”. Great shot! Eleanor is looking good! Love to see her come up and follow you. She’s patiently waiting. So sweet. Big Joe is so funny. Just a giant puppy! Those feral hogs are awful. And then there are some crazy super hogs in Canada and Northern US states that are even more destructive and dangerous. Glad you got this one.
You do what you have to , to protect your Bisons your land and where they graze your also helping your neighbors land . Wild hogs have been known to destroy farmers crops and grazing land for cattle and other livestock . So good for you ❤❤ May God continue to Bless you and your Family , and give sweet Eleanor a few extra cubes ❤❤❤❤
Great take down! Thanks for showing Eleanor ❤ Thank you for sharing!
I really admire your knowledge and professionalism and how you work hard to educate your viewers. Thank you. I'd like to hear your comments about the wildlife/human encounters that keep happening at Yellowstone. I think some people think they're living in a virtual reality world.
Live in Montaña 3 miles from the Wyoming border. I drive through the park often headed to places on the other side. Even if it’s slow going, the go around uses more fuel. Yes, people are getting stupid. Common sense is NOT so common. I believe it is a sense of privilege that makes them feel that they can do whatever they want to.
Well done sir
Great shot, Dusty!
I think that THEY think the Rules dont apply to them, for some reason.
Maybe it's because they need to buy access, which in their opinion means they own it? Or that some taxes are paid, and that means they own it? In their minds, I mean.. The older I get, and I'm not that old yet, it looks like people don't know what to do with them anymore.. except thinking that the whole world, and especially nowadays the complete outdoors scene, is so popular that they own it too? Idk. SMH.
Fine shot. People don't understand about hogs, even a lot that have some knowledge about livestock. I live in an RV since hurricane Michael in Florida. Decided I like being able to move every year or so, and usually find some place away from towns. Lived on a place where the owner had a cow on nearly half an acre of land, pet, bottle fed then over feeds it after full grown, to heavy to be healthy but he won't listen. Decided he wanted a boar hog so he came along with a 20-25 lb one. Told him the pasture would be gone in a week, better order more hay from the store he goes to instead of local farmers. Drunk know-it-all said I didn't know what I was talking about. 10 days later he was unloading a load of bales and bag feed, mentioned knocking off rent if I'd help out with the feeding. Told him I was moving.
Congratulations on getting the hog, I hope you process it for your freezer. Wild Hogs are a huge nuisance and can be very dangerous.
I love to watch him walk up at you. Just the way he strolls up. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for sharing Dusty. Your channel is wonderful to watch. I've learned so much about bison, Oklahoma and conservation from you. I live in an area that's on the outside of a town but we are surrounded by woods. Several years back, a local farmer's hog got loose and came visiting in our yard. My then teenage son and his buddy thought it was great fun to watch him. In about 10 or 15 minutes he'd rooted up half of our backyard. I promptly had them chase him back to the woods. They followed him and he went back where he belonged. I couldn't believe the amount of damage done in that short period of time. Though I'm not one for hunting, I'm glad you got him. God bless!
Woo hoo what a shot Dusty, hope you get the other/others, that pig certainly was brazen and wasn’t afraid of the bison, lovely to see Princess Eleanor and the main man Big Joe up close, tfs x Julie 🇬🇧
Nice Shot Dusty. Just wanted to let you guys know, we love our New Spirit Animal Shirts. Wearing them proud in Ohio❤
One thing I have learned about farming is that if you want a good field of grass and other stuff . Is that you need to plow up the ground and disk up the ground and then plant . I'm 58 year's old and have been farming for most of my life and been learning from my grandpa and my dad
Yes. Disc, spread, amd cover with a drag.
@@Steve-ev6vx and level up the ground
Hello Dusty and Marisa Eleanor is smart. ❤❤❤ We have javelina here in Arizona . They are so destructive and dangerous. We have a season on them - January and February. In a fascinating twist, a mountain lion has adopted our area to its domain. There have been a whole lot less javelina. I kind of want to leave treats out for her. Blessings to you! ❤ ~Linda
*LUCKY YOU!* Take care of that cougar 😻
Also you take care around that cougar.
Great shot Dusty. Wild pigs trash your field. Princess Eleanor waited patiently.🫶. Great video. Blessings to CTB 🙏🫶🙏🫶
That was awesome, nice shot! Beautiful Eleanor knows what she’s doing, but so does Big Joe. I love watching how he just comes through the rest of the group and right up to you and the truck. He’s saying “I pushed him towards you so you could get a good shot “ 😂teamwork makes the dream work. Those pigs are so destructive.
Happy New Year Dusty to you and all the family, Nice shot ! We have wild boar through the high country down here in Australia an absolute pest. Hope you’ll process it in some form. Like the new tray on the back of the truck. Now you just need the feeder 😊 Looking forward to what’s in store for 24. Keep on Ranchin Troy 🇦🇺
Dusty, you're so sweet, everything about you is sweet. Love when you talk about and to your bison. Nice shot with the pig, it's sad to see any animal die or get killed but life happens and you have to protect what is yours, that pig really did a job on your land. We have them here in Florida also.
That is so fascinating to me, simply because here in Ontario, Canada, we don't have boars. It's unbelievable how they do so much damage and how fast they reproduce.
How can they reproduce, if there are no boars!🤔
You MIGHT NOT have them...YET...but you will soon.
They are like rats. Giant, destructive rats.
At least theres an open season year round on wild pigs, so maybe you can keep them under control. Im surprised the bison didnt chase them off. Good video, hope you dont get the crazy snow storm weather that were dealing with now, cant wait till the next video!😊
pigs are as fast and more manoeuvrable than bison !
Great Shot Sir !!! HalleluYah ! I'm dancing for JOY ! If you lived in community there would be a celebration ! CONGRATULATIONS ! Glad I got to see this !👍 Blessings in this new year !
I love to see BIG JOE he is getting better looking as time goes on . Great shot 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Hope your weather is not too brutal this week.its been bad in north Georgia this week
Awesome shot Dusty! Glad you got him!
Great shot Dusty. To be honest i thought he dropped after the first shot! Next thing he's up running. Love those beautiful Bison man kudos to you.
Good job Dusty! I'm so glad you got that destructive little creature! ❤
PIG DOWN !!! Lmao. Great video ! The gunshot never phased the bison. Wow .
So happy you got that hog. Can they or do they hurt the red dogs? Good shot Dusty! ❤ PS WHY WERE YOU CALLED DUSTY BAKER THE HAY SHAKER IN HIGH SCHOOL? 😂
They'll kill a calf...they'll attack mother bison giving birth. They'll kill any small animal on a farm.
Good shot. Dusty! When Joe put his nose in the window, he's like where's mine lol😅 Thank you for sharing. God Bless 🙏🤗❤️👍
Have watched David Ellis: Yawt Yawt and he shows the damage the pigs do and why he traps them. Fields and fields totally destroyed. Good that you got him. I've read there are tens of thousands in TX. Glad you protected Jackie- those pigs are nasty.
Great shot Dusty! Eleanor loves her some cubes.
I am so glad you got it, I hated to see you feeling so down when you thought you missed!!!
Good job Dusty. I love watching you around the bison. They know where they are loved and protected.
I’m so amazed the bison didn’t run in every direction. They seemed very calm.
Remember how the vast herds were slaughtered by the thousands and just stood there as their herdmates dropped around them.
I'm so glad you got him or her!!! They are very harmful to everything!!! God Bless Us All!!!
Exciting video! Glad you got that pig!😊
Way to go Dusty! They destroy everything! 🎉🎉🎉 They are a menace to farmers and to pastures as you said. You have sweet beautiful buffalo, Eleanor especially. Love your videos. RuthAnn from Louisville, Kentucky

NICE shot Dusty! Ya gotta do what ya gotta do! Yea, I’ve seen the damage they do on other farms. I watch Daniel and DeJay. Blessings from OKC❤
Good job. One less thing to worry about. I’m surprised they Bison didn’t get him before you did.
Hey that was a great shot Dusty! He was sure tearing up your fields. You did the right thing. Cool video. 👍❤️

Great job, love your videos. Eleanor 13:53 and the other bison are beautiful
Your herd is very healthy looking. You can tell how much time and effort you invest in them. Nice to see healthy livestock.
Excellent video, thanks! I'm always waiting for the next one. 😊😊😊❤❤❤
Good job, Dusty, on so many levels!😊
Well done! Where do you bring the chickens in when the temperature drops to -20F Friday? Do the kittens and Jackie have a spot too? How about your horse? I know the bison are more comfortable in the cold than the summer heat and flies. I am assuming the wild hogs are too wormy to harvest. Will the coyotes take him or are there buzzards, falcons or eagles that command first dibs? Crows? Trail camera on the carcass would be very interesting. Do owls scavenge, or do they stick to live rodents? Do you harvest deer from your property? Do you ever take the Winnebago out to your fields in the winter? Would you use the Winnebago to stakeout and cull wild pigs? I hope you, your family and all your vulnerable animals stay safe in this record cold spell . May your pipes stay unfrozen and all your motors start.
a lot of people eat wild hog... i think boar taint is more a worry then worm.... a male pig will taste and smell like skat...
If you're a skilled hunter, you use extra caution with intestines & colon. Either of two areas of puncturing are the problems while breaking down the carcass. As for leaving carcasses, you don't want to encourage other predators to eat on your land. It puts your livestock in more danger long term. Terminate the immediate danger and dispose of carcasses elsewhere legally.
What a shot. Probably have come to your property since you have the ponds and lots of space to root around in. Princess Elinor 👑
I love watching your videos and Arms family have been watching Arms family for a long time and then started watching these Bison’s and your beautiful little helper she is quite a little helper love watching both families keep up the good work
Nice shot Dusty ....Silly question can you eat it or are you just going to let the worms take care of it ?
Dusty I knew u had him from the first shot. You definitely doubted yourself there for a min. Great job on getting him.
I just love how you talk to your bison ..just wonderful❤
Great shot Dusty!! Gotcha some bacon 🥓 right there! Big Joe is so handsome!!
Quite the shot Dusty! Yeah, wild pigs are for sure a problem all over! They’re running rampant across Canada and can even be dangerous … some will attack. Hunting and catching them up is definitely encouraged.
Great job Dusty. hope if there is more you can get them be for any of them have baby's.
Way to go Dusty!!! Them hogs need to go bye bye. Great shot . Blessings to u all.
Good shot! I’m proud of you. Keep up the good work!🎉
Big Joe came by to say hi to “hay shaker!” (Daniel let the cat out of the bag 😜) Really enjoy this video! Glad you got the feral hog!👍😎
Great shot Dusty. Glad you got him. He sure did a lot of damage. Hope you catch the other wild pigs.
Congratulations great shot it is amazing the distance you can be when you shoot.
*GOOD WORK, DUSTY!!!* Are you taking that pig to "market"? Having some porkchops, ham and bacon later? Pigs are one the few things that strike fear in my heart when I am in the woods. Only things worse are humans...
Great shot!!! We live in FL, and those things can tear up an entire island! Get them when you see them 👍. States that don’t have them are really lucky! The boers can be extremely dangerous,as they will attack. Their tusks are extremely sharp,so you really don’t want one to tangle with one of your dogs.
So enjoy the interactions you have with the bison.
Glad you disposed of it and I reckon there’s more for all that damage to be done, hope you get them 👍🏻. Eleanor 💗
Thank u Dusty for protecting your bison 🦬. Dusty, does your wife Marisa know u share your heart with her and Eleanor?😂
I enjoy your videos. Always learn something. Will you do anything with the carcass? That was a great shot!
Hi there I’m an Arms Family Homestead fan and because of him I checked out Grilling Addiction with Nick and he cooked up one of your filet Bison and OMG it looked amazing!! I’ve never even thought of eating bison meat before but after seeing the quality of that meat and the incredible way Nick grilled it well let’s just say he had my mouth watering!!! I’m a new subscriber to your channel because of it!! I wholeheartedly support what you are doing and I’m sure others will as well when they see what you are doing!!! One day I’ll be on a travelling adventure and will be travelling through your neck of the woods and will be stopping at your mother in laws boutique so I can purchase some incredible meat!! God bless and keep doing what you’re doing!🥰🙏🏻❤️🇨🇦🍁 If you are viewing this video and haven’t clicked the like button or clicked on the subscribe button what’s stopping you? Doesn’t cost you anything and it can help their channel a lot!!! ❤
It was a great shot! I’m very glad you got it!
Well you have to get rid of the predators and the land they destroy and cause holes that your bison can end up breaking a leg. It’s good to show the bad too. That’s part of ranching
In Arkansas if your domesticated farm piggy escapes his confines and roams to other properties i believe you either 14 or 30 days to capture it. After that the joker is considered a wild hog and can be killed. Also in Arkansas you can kill wild hogs that are causing property damage at any time. But I do believe there is a hunting season for them as well.
I thought feral and wild hogs are "free for all" and you can hunt ALL year round because they are invasive pest.
I can’t believe none of the bison reacted to the gunfire. Love ❤️
Dusty, I will be willing to bet ya that there are more they are smelling the cubes and the seed. Thanks for sharing.❤❤❤
Great shot Dusty, one little piggy down. Questions, can you eat that wild hog or do they carry too many diseases? Take care.
They are good to eat, especially in the winter. Pigs seem to be really disease resistant. They multiply to fast to have much wrong with them!
That hog would probably not be good to eat. Didn't go down right away. The flight hormones and adrenaline taint the meat.
