@@user-wb7ez9ud4p Yeah, enemy AA simply knock it out of the sky and after that the tank loses its bonus weapon (but still can get a new one)

The Hammer tank special ability to steal enemy weapons is not use much often , players still tend to use them against tank or try to crush infantry .
Yeap in most practical engagements it would be tank vs other tanks or infantry, or maybe mecha tengus Though in late game battles if you manage to leech enemy artillery the hammer tank becomes very powerful and valuable.
It's used a lot to outrange other tanks and heal up.
The MP scene has evolved a lot over the years, it's now one of the most important abilities in your arsenal. Being able to micro and switch to the leech beam to give your tanks additional firepower can swing the entire game in your favor. I've watched a game where the soviet player was able to get a jump on a wave force artillery, and switched to leech beam just as it was about to die. Now he had a hammer tank with an artillery canon that cannot miss, something soviets do not have access to normally. He proceeded to stomp the empire player with his own weapon, outranging everything he had because of the heroic rank. That one little tank killed like 10k credits worth of units, just because he activated one ability in time. Also, even if that wasn't possible, being able to heal between engagements by using neutral buildings and not having to go to base is already really strong, there's no other tank in the game or other frontline unit that can do this without having to go back to the base.
Sometimes i combine soviet aa and hammer, maybe not very cost effective but fun
Imagine being so badass that you rip off the whole turret off the Tsunami tank instead of just the cannon.
You can add to hammer tank weapon from bullet turret of USSR. It's cool minigun.
I like how the Hammer tank which able to kill another main tank with the beam, they become "Heavy tank" in RA1

I think even in reality, aliens would be afraid to invade us since we could've just reverse engineering their technology just like how we did in world war. But yeah, tank with an ability to steal technology is pretty scary

The leech beam is more of a situational ability / gimmick but in practical situations it's not as useful unless you're leeching basic Anti Air / Anti Infantry weapons from enemies.
Leech beam is used a lot in competitive play. It has much longer range than the main cannon and can outrange multi gunner turrets. It’s used to heal tanks in battle as well or leech down retreating tanks using it’s longer range. Adding one more gun literally doubles it’s dps too

This is the kind of thing I really wanted to try, but the leech beam does so little damage you’re usually better off just relying on the regular attack.
The leech beam works even when not killed by it, as shown in the video.
you're not supposed to use it as a main attack, try swarming the enemy with these tanks and only have the ones you want upgraded use the leech beam, that way the unit you want to steal from dies quickly before causing too much harm.
Use leech beam for killing blow the near-death unit or to repair your tank while the other engage the enemy, making the hammer tank more resilient on the frontline

Just use the leech beam of the tank: When the vehicle (that your hammer tank is leeching from) dies, the hammer tank will gain a secondary weapon, based on what vehicle it was leeching from. You can also destroy the vehicle with other tanks as long as one of them is leeching

EMP is a strong ability, putting it on the heavily armoured platform would've made Hammer an OP unit.

Should have added as text on screen what unit was leeched to give the specific weapon. Some are obvious, like mirage-prism or tesla, but i can't tell the difference between guardian, tsunami, other hammer simply based on the blast animation :p.
God this makes hte hammer tank so much better than any other main line battle tanks in the game, its a tough competition. Which makes me slightly grateful for a modder to remove them from a mod called Red alert 3 Corona.

You all do know that you can add secondary weapons on hammer tank without mods? ( Red alert 3 Uprising only) *Notes : I haven't tested on Red alert 3 yet, I'll edit this when I tested it If you don't know how to add secondary weapons without mods is. Try to use leech beam on hammer tank with other tanks. Try doing Hammer tank leach beam on multi gunner or wave force artillery. I recommend trying this on Co - op. You still can do on bots but it's not going to be easy on regular maps well easy a bit. I tried it on RA3 Uprising and it work. Press the "?" on hammer tank, watch the full video. i have encounter the flack and the mini gun version while doing the mission of the rising sun and it was rare for me to see those and it dont have mods aswell

Обязааательно заберёт. Жаль только Молот ни под водой ни на воде не плавает, так что торпеды он домой заберёт. А что - в хозяйстве пригодится :)

There is no Hammer Tank in the Corona mod, it was replaced by the old Rhino Tank.

idk if this helps now but this is the special ability of the hammer tanks in RA3 because every unit has a special ability in that game

@@youngarchivist Well in second mission of Uprising USSRcampaign you can get Hammer tank with Mig weapon, but that only one tank and as I remember salvaging aircraft weapon isn't possible in non-modded game.

Всё очень сильно от обстоятельств зависит. Если разбирать голиафа, то по сути ты меняешь скорость машинок на выживаемость молота, при этом без дополнительных способностей.
На самом деле афина или ионка японии мастхэв. Так же оружие этих пво лодочек Аликов очень сильное (не знаю название, ибо не игрок ра3)
