  • For someone who doesn’t like marriage, Bill spends a lot of time talking about it. Almost like he needs validation for his life choices.

    • I agree, Bill also missed Dr Phil’s point which is that you can’t judge people based on something they’ve said or done once. (Which was the context in his example). Everyone has had moments when we display poor judgement and say/do things that are unwise. It’s a different situation if we criticize a celebrity or politician who has repeatedly taken a specific position on a matter, but even then, we disagree with their opinion which is not the same as trashing their entire character. That’s what cancel culture does, a person can say one thing that the radical mob disagrees with and they get destroyed & loose their livelihood. That’s by far more dangerous than a single politician, we have checks and balances in place to prevent a dictatorship. Cancel culture and wokenes is a very dangerous cultural phenomenon, just like Dr Phil was trying to explain but Bill didn’t seem to catch on to that.

  • I learn so much from watching Maher's show, like how not to live, think, and behave with guests. I have never seen someone so closed-minded pretending to be open-minded. Most of the viewers understand what's wrong with his lack of relationship problems better than he does just because of how much he brings it up, despite him saying how happy he is and certain that no one knows himself as well as he does. Yes, being unfit, pale, wrong on many political issues, alone in elderly age and smoking copious amounts of bud to forget about it seems an awesome alternative to having a family. He's the male version of Chelsea Handler. Yet I still watch his shows because he has great guests. Dr. Phil was patient, entertaining, and well-spoken. I enjoyed this a lot.

    • That's part of marriage and having a family that he misses completely. It's about sacrificing on behalf of others. He even says so in here that he doesn't want to give up part of himself... so instead he chooses to be narcissistic and not serve anyone or give of himself beyond "worship me for how right I am" ego stroking. Having to survive with another person and teach growing kids is what humbles most and forces the mature to actually grow up.

From that moment on the psychoanalyst in him leaned forward and had this fixed expression like he was analysing a patient at a psych ward, collecting data points and making a diagnosis about Bill's narcissism 😂. And i dont think there is anything wrong with opting out of marriage and admitting you cant be monogomous, at least he is honest about that but his motives make him sound quite neurotic

    • it's super funny to me... maher's trump derangement.. he constantly calls trump a narcissist, and while I don't disagree, I'm also like, "whoa whoa whoa, teapot, let me introduce you to this kettle over here." but a narcissist probably makes a pretty decent potus because they're concerned with what makes them look good... if the country fails, that makes them look bad, and they're not gonna have that. so ya know... not the worst. the worst is having a dementia patient literally declining before our very eyes... ladies and gents, the leader of the free world.

  • We've got to stop arguments and start solving problems! Wow, Perfectly said. If we keep going in the direction we are... I hate to think where this heads. Social Media has amplified this and especially with Children. Very interesting comment from Doc at the end 🤔. He certainly isn't going to run. My bet is he will announce putting his voice behind a non party candidate. (This would be awesome)! I'm guessing it will be RFK JR. Let's see how this plays out...

  • If Bill laid off the mind-altering substances during conversations and stopped elbowing his guests aside to take over their answers to his questions, we'd learn more about such folks as Dr. Phil.
