if Henry Cavill finds a director who shares the same vision and surrounds himself with a team who's buying into the idea, i bet his Warhammer project is gonna be an epic. Like Keanu Reeves and Chad Stahelski they brought John Wick to life because they both shared the same vision and surrounded themselves with a team dedicated to the craft. let Henry Cavill cook and we're in for a treat.
As long as it doesn't go "Woke" like the Witcher did.

the one problem I have always had with these animations is that they have never properly shown how super fast the marines are supposed to be.
If they sped up the movements they would feel weightless and unrealistic, while their actual movement would be unrealistic because of their mass I think the SM2 trailer balanced speed and weight very well. Remember they are likely 300+ pounds without the added armor, he was running weighing easily half a ton.
Unfortunately, imho the only ones that seem to properly capture such motions are Astartes (now works for GW directly) and SODAZ (bullied by our own community out of the community). Any of Astartes' work does a good job. I highly recommend looking up specifically the last animation SODAZ made (Death Korps of Krieg) or one a bit older (Siege). Plague is another good one, although iirc it was an older not as great one.
The same thing with the Spartans from Halo.
They just slowed down the footage so our human eyes could see such holy sights
@@michaelbarnes7351 the games nerfed Master Chief so hard for the sake of narrative. he's supposed to be able to punch through steel LOL master chief should have been easily capable of ripping the arms right off of Tartarus, and should effortlessly kill a fully armored sangheili in one blow. he is capable of sprinting over THIRTY miles an hour, yet we find ourselves walking for miles and miles, there are literally hundreds of very obvious plotholes in the Halo loreverse

Fun Fact: Space Marines is very rare to see, just seeing one is like seeing an Angel.
Not just rare, but essentially astronomically improbable or even impossible. There are over a million planets within the Imperium, and say you had 1 billion people per planet (in truth there is likely more per planet on average). That would be 1 quadrillion, or 1,000,000,000,000,000 humans. With the sheer amount of humans in the galaxy and roughly a million Space Marines, you'd have better luck betting on being struck by lighting at three different points in your life at random. Many in the Imperium don't actually believe they exist, since there are still hundreds of thousands of planets where a Space Marine has never even walked upon its soil. For a Guardsman to see this would be like winning the lottery 100 times in a row

Is he doing the actual writing and creating this stuff? I feel like alot of you are just spouting off mindless positive self affirmations based of an actor’s star power. Like, yes he’s a very fine actor but is he directing, producing, writing, designing this stuff?
@@steverogers7601 Cavill is supposedly executive producer on that stuff. Aside from that, I'm pretty certain is not doing any writing and such. But it's Amazon and looking at how they completely butchered Lord of Rings in RoP, I have no hope whatsoever that even Cavill as a self-proclaimed "nerd" and someone who supposedly dropped Witcher, because it strayed too much from the original material, will be able to save anything about the W40k adaption. I'm only looking forward to see, how they try to get the Imperium to be woke. For me it's gonna be more of a study on how to fuck things up (again) and a lot less about W40k in general.

Do you really think everyone means he's gonna solo direct everything about the movie or are we gonna use our brain and realize they mean they want his counseling and guidance with the 40K universe that Cavill has shown lots of interest and love for?

it's the best lore and universe i've ever seen. Big follower since 2009 when i played for the first time dark crusade 40k. People seem to argue that star wars vs warhammer 40k universe. Its pretty easy question that warhammer has still lots of potential for games and movies in the future but star wars universe seems like, it used everything, there is nothing left to do in that lore maybe there is but not as much as warhammer though.
I have a hard time comparing WH vs SW. Two totally different universes in that where ever you are in SW ,everything is nice and clean and no one has near the attitude as 40k. I'd live in the worst SW city, but any city in 40k is a nightmare, even the home world where thousands die each day just to keep the husk of an emperor of mankind alive!😢😮

I’ve been reading through the Dune books, we all know that 40k is inspired by that series, as a lot of sc-fi is…but it appears to me that 40k was created based on The God Emperor Leto’s fear for humankind’s future, the reason for his golden path to exist. Without his golden path humanity was to become exactly what the 40k universe basically is…non-stop war, hell, and then the inevitable species oblivion. I always found it hard to imagine Leto’s fear for humankind, just how bad it could be. Then I think of 40k and it makes sense. Just think that’s pretty cool.
And I agree.. At the same time Leto created one hellova dark future
decaying galactic empire, no technological advance and degradation? it's actually Asimov's idea, taken from the history of Roman Empire. space marine supersoldiers? Heinlein. now God Emperor - that's from Frank Gerbert

The weird bug looking things are called Tyranids. They are a species of highly adaptive, hive-minded aliens for another galaxy that consume anything on a planet, then move onto the next. So pretty much if you dropped a brick of cocaine into a cockroach terrarium and left it to sit for week lol

I don't think they could ever make a decent movie from 40k simply because there's way to much lore. Hell there's lore within lore on so many levels. The only way I think it could be done is a series with maybe a movie trilogy off of the show. With that said I feel like the Horus heresy would be a good starting point. They could start with the finding of the primachs. The basics could be explained along the way. Then the final moments of Horus could be a movie trilogy. Just my opinion though and there's so much more material that can be used. What ever happens let's hope they don't butcher it like the Witcher did. There will be so many pissed off fans.
Amount of background lore is inconsequential, and I don't think there's any chance there will be a movie series covering a drama that took some 50 novels to finish. There's plenty of 40k stories that would make awesome movies. The Wraithbone Phoenix would be great as a stand-alone movie for example, and Eisenhorn is a classic that could make a great trilogy. The Horus Heresy is not 40k, its 30k and its way too niche to have any broad appeal.

I hope in the 7 months this comment has been sitting here you found the answer, but if you have not; No, the person next to her is the Player's Character - Rannick (the man with the gun andInquisitor Grendyl's second in command) pointed the gun at [us] to make her feel safe. The storytelling in Darktide isn't practically stellar, beyond in-match character conversations (a really neat one is one of the Psykers has a dream about two Zolas, and the team might be convinced she isn't aware that she's fighting something inside of her) there isn't much story being told. However, one neat and fairly new tidbit is the traitor was seen on the MourningStar as a cosmetic merchant and once she's discovered the vendor is replaced with a servitor that looks suspiciously like her. ;)

This video has some very key points in it that really caught my attention. The first thing I noticed was the change from man to God then I noticed the bible on the suit of one of God's Soliders or disciples. That shows the direction of the leadership in which they follow! Way to Go!

What game are these cinematics from? Im tryna get into warhammer cuz i like d&d and painting minis, i have some warhammer ones i wanna paint, but now i wanna know the lore so im tumbling down this rabbit hole not knowing where to start and how anything applies to anything lol

It's not complicated at all. The BEST place to start is picking a novel that seems interesting. There's no right place to start. And if you're into minis, pick the army you think looks cool. There are also tons of lore videos online. But watch out, they tend to be a bit lore-dump docused and wiki-like, and often miss the wonderful nuances of awesome satire that the novels tend to be coated in. The audio books are wonderful to listen to while you paint your minis. Anything in particular that looks cool?
