Everyone should play the game these cinematics are from, Chaosgate: Demonhunters. It's one of the best 40k games ever made. If you like Xcom style strategy games and 40k it's a must play.

The only thing that sucks about warhammer is that the lore makes it seem like we should have a bunch of righteous gears of war style video games but instead we mostly have strategy games which I don't have a problem with, to each their own, and you like what you like, but it would definitely be more popular if we had more g😢ears of war style or space marine style (the one with Titus?) video games,, there is a second space marine game coming out but I can't believe there isn't more games in more styles based on the warhammer lore
Even a halo or destiny style M rated game with some rpg elements would be sick, you could play as good or evil, be a primarch and turn to chaos and command your legions while being in the midst of battle lmao , and you could loot whole planets idfk there needs to be more warhammer stuff that isn't super niche cause the lore is sick and needs to be talked about more ,,, thank God Henry Cahill is getting something going with it , I've slowly been getting into warhammer over the years ,, there was a gw store at one of the malls right by where I live for the longest time I think it closed down in recent years tho :( it was sick they had a giant space marine statue in the front window 😅 and it was right next to the movie theatre in the mall and they had a big table setup in the middle of the store and would have active games going sometimes, not always warhammer either
I'm pretty new to this universe. Enjoying all the detail and story thats been added to this throughout the years. But I really wouldn't trust current day Hollywood to do this franchise justice. They've destroyed so many other beloved fantasies recently. Would hate to see this one hit the chopping block too.
Yeah i think they will struggle to represent it properly as they will try to commercialise it too much. I'm also new and love some of the stupid funny lore aspects that make this universe so ridiculous it becomes even more enjoyable.
DND movie was pretty damn good. But I don’t know if you could go that small or that personal with it

Normally I would say the same but since Henry Cavill is a big part of the production I haven't completely lost hope. Cavill is notorious for being a lore enthusiast and has spoken out against shows that don't stay true to their source material. He even quit the lead role of the Witcher after the writers continued to take the show in a direction that wasn't appealing to original fans of the franchise.
Wow, I low key have liked and admired 40k since the 90's, but just a few weeks ago started watching videos on the lore. Being this early to something like this is awesome!
This franchise will go supernova now that Henry Cavill is involved with possible movie adaptations. Can't wait!

inquisitor usually have more power over lower ranking grey knight. i have the first demonhunter codec, did gw revised that part of it.

Thank you for putting this together. Im not a HUGE fan but I have the 40k 360 game also have a few of the figures and have read a some of the lores of the different characters and i really enjoy them so its pretty cool watching the characters instead of reading haha. Again this is appreciated.

I swear 40k was meant to be a massive gaming franchise! Imagine if each of the 18 original legions were it's own Witcher 3 style RPG. One could be based on the Primarch as a baby on a strange planet. You grow, develope and gain skills as you follow the lore. The game would end when the Emperor finds you. Then the next game would have you leading your legion and doing stuff based on the lore. And imagine this for each legion. Imagine eventually playing Angron as a daemon lord! Or playing the Horus Heresy from all the different points of view. Then you can start launching xeno franchises. Like an ork game where you crawl out of the ground and strive to become bigger until you're the orkiest Waaaaghboss with the krumpiest WAAAAAAGH and travel the galaxy collecting gubbins filling the void with DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA! Obviously you'd need to choose your clan early on.

yea there are 40k games but thay are yust not realy that good the best ones in my apinion are the (Dawn of War Soulstorm,dark crusade...Space Marine and the Skalgrim) the rest is yust turn based shi* games

What makes the concept even better is that with the imperium and their battle against heresy is actually a complete heresy of contemporary Christianity. Even the God Emperor of mankind is a satire of Jesus.
A War on Pride? A War on Vanity? A War on Sin itself? That's something I like about Warhammer 40K. I also do love the Templar Witch Hunters from Warhammer Fantasy.

Um, to be clear, any Inquisitor who would hail, much less attempt to board and commandeer, a Grey Knights vessel would suffer a swift and violent end and never be heard from again.
My thoughts exactly no way and inquisitor can commandeer a gray knights ship, mych less her or her entire command would be alive to talk about it

My first 2 40k armies were the Deathguard & 2nd Company Ultramarines but loving this cinematic with the Grey Knights…. Was thinking about building a GreybKnight army also. After all, they’re part of the indomitus crusade too.

I loved every second of this Warhammer games are campy, corny and often average but the lore and grim darkness is so much fun.

Warhammer has roots in table top games. But personnally i would suggest you start with: 1) dawn of war pc games 2) space marine game 3) angels of death 2021 series 4) hammer and bolter 2022 series 5) the horus heresy book collection 6) majorkill you tube lore videos

Human is doomed or unless there is new emperor which is unlikely because ; The warp is too messy/we don't have the right kind of psykers. This type of gathering of souls probably couldn't happen given the state of the warp in 40k, and human psykers might be quite different to the shamans back in the day. *Molech power boost*. While I've not found it in the books yet, I believe the Emperor at one point enters a warp portal and comes out far more powerful (and older as well). While Horus also manages this before fighting the Emperor, the Emperor is still more powerful, and no one can make another primarch* let alone another Emperor. *Experience*. The Emperor isn't just a beautiful golden monster with god-like psychic power, he's been around for 10s of thousands of years. He defeated the void dragon (maybe just a large shard but impressive either way). He was likely around for the dark age of technology. He's united Terra at least once and is said to have been source of many mythical heroes. In conclusion: while the specifics are inconsistent, it's essentially impossible to make a new Emperor because the conditions for his creation and development are no longer possible. Could The Emperor return? Potentially. Some fans would love Big E to return, some would hate it, but I don't think it's impossible. He is a perpetual and there's a theory that once the Golden Throne finally breaks, The Emperor will finally die and be able to revive himself.

40k CHaosgate, Its a turnbased strategy game, where you command a cruiser and send small squads of Greyknights to planets which you then control in turnbased combat. (All Greyknights are individually costumisable with lots of options for weapons, armor, Special abilities and even looks like Oath Seals etc.)

It doesn't matter where you start, man. Just find a faction or chapter that interest you and start reading. But if you want a suggestion or where to start reading the Ciaphas Cain books, they are really good and a good introduction to the setting
