I will never understand why some people hate the bread crust. It is the best part of the sliced bread.
I agree 😊
Fax
Me personally on my sandwiches I gotta take off the crust because I looked forward to a soft sandwich not w crusty with it but with french toast I am okay with it because it's toasty
I normally would not agree, but bread crust on French toast is absolutely amazing. You just have to make sure it's well coated and also well buttered.
The crusts are tough when making French toast, that's why.
I would cook them separately, for a well cooked inside ❤😊
which would defeat the entire purpose of this technique
Exactly. It's going to be raw and gooey inside
@@cleanmyshortsdavidtrucchio4502 Not if you cook it low and medium. These are def raw and gooey inside tho... lol
@@KennyCutz 😂😂😂😂😂✌❤

Hey Cringler _ you were three weeks to late!
Wow. Two pieces of bread can soak two eggs! Look delicious!! I will certainly try it! Thx!!
Is it just me or is watching this French toast being made so relaxing to watch?

Hola Helly! Qué deliciosa tu tostada francesa, un postre, de desayuno o merienda, en cualquier momento😋😋😋😋, rápida, fácil, simple pero riquísima. Un abrazo y buen día y semana!❤🎩👌🏻🤗🌻
I tried it. It was delicious! I just had some for lunch. Unless you like soggy bread, do NOT douse it in the egg mixture as long as she did! I dipped my 1st piece. Then, I added thw other piece of bread on top, then doused in mixture together. I did not douse them separately or keep pushing the mixture into the bread. That's how it'll become soggy. My FT was buttery & lightly crispy on the outside. The inside was light & fluffy! Give it a try!
Cover and finish cooking on very low heat to finish the center.
The more custard like French toast is soak the bread
That's must be the trick. Mine was too soaked and soft and I will use a bit less milk too. You can see that her egg still is a bit like an omelette but not with 60ml of milk.
Absolutely delicious! I put a pinch of salt in the egg mixture and put thinly sliced banana in the middle. I am inhaling it right now!
Wow! That looks amazing!!!! Going to make it right now. Thank you for the free video ❤😊🙏
Waja think? I tried it and it wasnt cooked inside tasted awfully AWFUL....A BIG FAT WASTE
I didn’t realize that a person can do her work this gracefully while working at home. 💕💕
It's a really nice recipe just scrolling for breakfast recipes and I think I'll do yours today 😁
If I was going to make this, I would buy cowboy bread which is thicker then the normal size bread. I agree that soaking the bread that long does cause the middle part not to be cooked like the outside. That’s why I leave the crust on in case the bread starts to get browner. I pour the extra mixture over the bread once it’s in the pan.
Where's YOUR video? Cowboy bread is just a thick hunk o bread. This cooks 2 slice remedy offers the batter in the very middle. Imagine a French Omelet. It's not cooked through and offers a delightful custardy middle.
We call it Texas Toast.
@Ella Kajfasz unless you're in Colorado then we call it duck food..haha..kidding
@@guysolis5843 All I am saying how I would make it. No disrespect.
@@vandalayindustries3057 Funny moniker. Shouldn't be worried about uncooked egg. It does get some heat but we eat over easy eggs all the time.
Que rico ❤ Gracias por la receta.
Looks tasty! I use Texas toast or brioche bread. She let hers soak longer than I do. I like adding vanilla too. I might have to make some tomorrow. ❤
I was just going to say that too. Also, I find the cinnamon doesn't mix too well with the egg mixture and gets stuck to the side of the bowl. So, I tend to just sprinkle a bit of it on bread after it is soaked and that seems to work just as well. Also I'll sprinkle powered sugar on the finished French Toast and forgo adding any sugar to the mixture.
@@robertanderson6929Add cinnamon to water and microwave for a short time, just until it mixes and becomes dissolved in the water. Then let cool to add to the egg batter.
@@robertanderson6929 We mix the cinnamon with butter and spread it on after cooking.

Noble peace prize headed your way, such creativity. What an eye opening experience. The rest of us have a so ignorantly been cooking them before we stack them.
In the USA we call that French Toast but use stale bread and thicker slices. Challah bread and Cinnamon Raison bread makes excellent French Toast. Maple syrup can be poured over it and served with Bacon 😋 Thank you 🥰
Challah makes FANTASTIC French toast. I'd forgotten about this one. Cinnamon Raisin as well.
Looks so good!! Only problem I have, making a stack would take too long!!
What is challah-bread?? I have tried so many times here in Germany ,but still have not found the perfect combination😅
Hello Diabetes 😅
I used to put just a tiny bit of orange or lemon zest in my egg batter. It set my French toast over the top!
Do you make it exactly like she did then add the orange or lemon
I'm going to try that. Fortunately I have both.

Best variation on French toast I've ever had was at a cafe in Waitsfield, VT, in the early 90s. It was called "Italian toast:" Italian bread stuffed with ricotta cheese and cooked like French toast! 🤤
Do you remember the name of the place! I could use a road trip ...
@@paradoxworkshop4659 No, I don't, sorry. Besides, it was about 30 years ago, so I'd be surprised if it was still even around. Then again, there's a Chinese restaurant in Alamosa, CO, that's been around at least since the mid-80s, so who knows?
@@seanryan3020 all good the place I found changed hands a year or so ago, so probably the same place, but different menu: 'Toast and Eggs" is a good name for a breakfast place, and probably worth the trip!
@Paradox Workshop I just looked the place up myself. Most likely not the same place, but still looks good. I take it you're in the New England area?
How did they stuff it? I’m trying to imagine.

@@user-tg5vr8lr8g I completely agree!
I have an issue with the insides not being fully cooked since there are two slices of bread being cooked together. A twist on this that yields fantastic results is using either Brioche bread or Japanese Milk bread. Since both come in a loaf, you slice the bread to be as thick or thin as you like. A real treat is to get the sourest french bread or baguette and use that for French toast. The sourness gives it a unique flavor
Used to cook these in the old sandwiche toaster.😊😊😊😊
Cook the slices side by side then put the two cooked sides together and cook the opposite sides 😊
My concern is that that will be raw egg mixture between slices if not cooked enough
😅

I thinks cooking them each at a time will be more better
I think so too, it was too slimy inside.
I will say, a little freshly grated nutmeg with the cinnamon gives such an incredible flavor and aromatic experience to the toast.
Cinnamon and nutmeg is so delicious
I made it it tasted delicious I totally recommend this!
Looks delicious 😋 well. Try it for breakfast . Thank you.
Is it me or thats just a normal french toast stacked on top of another?
Lol a double decker French toast. Does look good though
It is 2 pieces of bread cooked together french toast. Yummy crispy on the outside & fluffy on the inside! Not normal at all.🙂
It’s normal French toast but looks so good! I like the way she lets it soak up every morsel of the mixture! I would use Texas toast still though
Yeah That’s just French toast Nothing new to see here. I prefer to sprinkle my cinnamon on after wards along with some brown sugar and warm peach compote
Wow. Can’t get nothing past you.😂
Wow. 2 eier usually gets me 5 slices of normal bread worth of french toast. Even when I soak the bread through, I need to slow-cook them to make sure the middle isn't raw. Any leftover ook, I just pour onto the last slices to let it absorb, too. No waste.
Brzo i veoma ukusno🤌👌👍 Hvala draga⚘
I agree it is just one French toast on top of another. I would vanilla essence and leave the crust on it keeps stops the bread from breaking up! Also, it makes the crust
It would have been my favourite sweet toast recipe if the insides were fully cooked, also I cooked it with the crust and I should tell you that the crust was the best part
Looks amazing but leave the crusts on😊
Excellent look must b good in taste
Very good toast! Easy cooking with delicious taste! Thank you for your beautiful cooking video!
I’m thinking those eggs & milk in the center of the two slices is still raw. If you want fluffy French Toast, you take those same ingredients put them in a blender on high speed for a minute, put the mixture in a bowl then dip both sides of each slice into the mixture then fry both sides of each slice separately. This is how they’re made at the Ritz Hotel. Also, for the fluffiest omelet ever, do the same to your eggs (putting them in a blender) then pour into a pan and add your meat and veggies. The lightest, fluffiest omelet I’ve ever had - and it’s even better if you want a omelet of egg whites only. ❤
I was wondering about the center too. Oooh these are great tips!! Thank you!
Waste of bread...
I was looking for a fluffy French toast ..I don't like my French toast mushy inside 🤢
@@takeadeepbreath3609 I only dip for 5 to 10 seconds and then cook over medium until the inside of the bread has firmed, the bread will rise a bit when fully cooked. As for ingredients, I skip the sugar and instead use sweetened condensed milk and add vanilla as well.

This is a really good prep/cooking method to do French Toast, but the secret is really in the type bread, crust and all. Brioche is my preference.
So amazing my son absolutely loved this I just made it for him
I like to add some pure organic vanilla extract
If you mix the cinnamon into the egg before adding milk, that will prevent the cinnamon from floating on top.

I think the middle won’t be fully cooked and will be soggy. I like the tip of soaking the bread longer, but I think use thicker sliced bread rather than stacking it. And add vanilla to the egg! Yum!
레시피 공유 감사해요 ❤
This gave me Italian ideas.
What do people have an issue with crusts ? It's so weird.
Thinking same 😂
You can actually toast the crusts on the pan before the loaf - crunchy and delicious
Greetings from Sri Lanka.. To make a neat crust free sandwich 🥪 The side cut bread can be used as crispy bread crumbs. To make the bread crumbs.put on oven tray .Once it's get dry. Once it's get cold. Put in to the grinder and grind it gently to get bread crumbs.you can use the bread edges for bread pudding also. You can use it for many other things.it doesn't go to waste bin .❤😊
In this case it’s functional
I rarely let my bread soak in the egg mixture for that long, unless I'm making overnight french toast. You'll burn and overcook the outside by the time the inside is cooked properly, in my experience. Also, why crack the eggs right on the counter and get germs everywhere rather than cracking them on the side of the bowl? Just making extra clean up work.
Lower chance of shell going in the dish when cracked on a flat surface, apparently
You should also wear gloves when preparing food from start to finish.
Two trolls and French toast.Lol.🤣
Same here I was going to reply well say here that I don't never soak my bread in the egg I put in flip over and then straight to the pan and cutting off the crust must be person not like the crust I love the crust nothing wrong with but I don't know what she gonna do with crust pieces I still have to watch rest of video
@@steveville54 or you just wash your hands and don't produce more waste
Did this with no salt and banana slices, yum
I add a lttle butter & cheese in between two breads before frying to make it even softer 😊
That just looks like a way to have it soggy in the middle. I've been making this since I was 8 years old and the only recent change I've made is that I put the syrup on the plate and warm it 15 or 20 seconds in the microwave. I met a lady at a party who told me she puts ketchup on it. 😳 I left the room.
LOVE the idea of warming syrup on the plate. Sounds scrumptious.
Hello so you left the room . Sound good, So we do with salt no vanilla no sugar . What do you think now?
Maybe moist at best. But definitely not soggy if cooked properly.
You left the room LOLOL - I would have been right with ya lol
But in between it will not cook
I was thinking the same....
Not really, because with one slice, isn't it still a little soft in the middle, unless you like your French Toast fried hard, close to burnt, or maybe depending on how you like your eggs🤔
Looks delicious, doing that for lunch, thanks
So good I made it today it was amazingggg
Just an update , I had to hurry making these this morning. The problem with this is that the egg is still soggy in the middle . It’s so thick it takes ages to cook. Won’t be doing this again unfortunately
Why not cook the bread one slice at a time. Then stack them together on the plate once it's thoroughly cooked?
Why cut the sides? That’s the best part of the bread.
Çok lezzetli görünüyor ellerinize sağlık 💯💯💚💚🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷🤗
When I grew I remember having French toast for breakfast. I hardly ever eat breakfast anymore bc I had usually worked 2nd shift and didn't get until later.
Beautiful simply beautiful thanks and Maranatha !
Great insight into customizing the recipe! I hear you on the challenge of ensuring the insides are fully cooked with two slices of bread. Your solution of using Brioche or Japanese Milk bread and slicing them to your desired thickness is brilliant. It allows for better control over the cooking process and ensures a fantastic result. And your idea of using sour French bread or baguette for French toast is a game-changer! The sourness adds a unique and delightful flavor twist. It's always exciting to discover different bread varieties that can elevate classic recipes. On a related note, discussing different flavors, I've personally found a couple of positive aspects of the keto diet that contribute significantly to health and physical well-being. Firstly, the sustained energy levels throughout the day are remarkable - no more energy slumps. Secondly, the improved mental clarity and focus have been a noticeable improvement. These aspects, coupled with creative recipe variations like yours, make the keto lifestyle quite appealing. Thanks for sharing your tasty twist and contributing to the joy of cooking! 🍞🍳✨
Would add vanilla and cook individually with crust on! Yum
