  • Ok, I am glad to see that these phones can be repaired, etc. My question that I don't see in the comments that I had time to review was is there a parts replacement that takes the Xs Max and when it is transferred to the new housing is it made to be 5 G capable??? No where in this video others I have seen does that seem to take place. Just trying to plan for my phones for the future, etc. Thanks.

    • Don’t do that.The modified cable has no microphone and it cause issues when recording video with the rear camera.

    • @@AlejandroAmicoo yup. This case comes with a modified flat cable to adapt its flash light. But the original one also has a mic attached. This modified version doesn’t have the mic, and this causes lots of issues when recording audio. For instance: rear camera uses always both front and rear mic to record audio, and it causes sometimes the audio stops suddenly. If you record with the front camera it works because it uses front mic. If you use apps like WhatsApp to record videos with rear camera, it doesn’t work at all, no sound. So I don’t recommend this mod.

  • I just spent 5 hours doing this for my XS max. One problem I ran into was the frame didn’t have a proper place to put the rear-facing microphone. I ended up sandwiching it under the cameras and the frame. I haven’t noticed an issue yet with the microphones, but was wondering how you worked with it?
