I have not done a x and up screen replacement just the older iPhones and Samsung’s but I wanna say thanks for being a great KZheadr and paving the way for others who want to learn and also not pay 450+ on repairs from a big big company keep it up let’s support our local techs and abroad techs 👌🏼😎
I know its kinda expensive, but they make laser machines that have codes for each iPhone model and you tap the button and it uses the laser to completely burn out any of the adhesive holding on the back glass as well as the paint coating that helps adhere it to the back of the device, this makes it so the second its done in the machine, the back glass shards come off super super easily and takes so much less time allowing you to have the back glass fully replaced in under 10 minutes. You also don't have any risk of damaging phone internals using a heat gun on the back totally going beyond the temperature recommendations for these phones and their batteries. I haven't watched all the way through yet as I wanted to mention this before I forgot, but hopefully after using that heat gun you also throw in a new genuine battery as while the current battery might still function, it'll definitely experience some degradation from those levels of heat. I know being careful to not have too much heat in one spot for too long is a factor, but even then the internals of the phone are still getting way warmer than they should be especially seeing that the device is face down pressed firmly against what looks to be a leather plate thus having no air flow to the internals to allow the phone to stay cooler during heat gun glass removal. Even when car tuning shops are tuning the car on a dyno and the car is heating up, its wide open and still doesn't have enough air flow to cool the engine and they use a fan against it, similar principles apply I'd use a fan to keep the phone internals cool while heating up each individual piece of glass. But again since you do a ton of these phone repairs and restorations, I'd definitely invest in one of those laser machines as it'll cut your time to remove the glass down exponentially and you'll make more money in the long run since you'll be doing the same repair, only faster making the same amount of money taking up less man hours to do thus opening up a larger window of time to do more repairs. Not only that, but the laser machine is an excellent marketing advertisement piece if you do this for a living full time as you can use the " Professional Laser Back Glass Removal" or something along those lines , under your list of offered services which will entice more customers into paying for and sending in devices to repair!
