That"s the way I do think about Christmas to. It is mainly a pagan celebration with a christian flavor. The church wanted to Christianize the pagan people in the past and made for that reason a mix of both kind of religion. Santa claus is a commercial form of the Saint Nicolaas who was a holy man who lived in-Turkey, he lived around the fourth century after Chris and gave money to the pore people. So Christmas the people celebrate to day is not a pure celebration, it is a commercial mix.
Christmas has BECOME commercial as the No of true Christians decreases. Non-Christians love celebrating Christmas more than me. I celebrate the birth of Jesus. I do not have Santa in my family. Nor all the trimmings. We celebrate his birthday as we celebrate our own. There is a complete difference. There is NO correlation between that and any pagan festival in Rome at the time. The pagan festival was done away with completely. And the people given something GREAT to celebrate - the birth of Jesus. However you STILL kiss the same stone that the pagans kissed when it was placed in the corner of the kaaba as an Idol. You still perform every single rite and ritual that the Pagans did in the period of ignorance. Mohammed did not change a single ritual - he just changed the meaning. We changed the ritual and the meaning. Both. We didn't keep doing what the Romans did and call it something else. That is the difference.

Jawel, je kan het beluisteren met Nederlandse ondertiteling. Je moet het op “automatisch vertalen” zetten. Ik heb het net gecheckt en wordt wel letterlijk vertaald, dus je zal het wel goed volgen.
I stay in a small country that is 85% Non-Muslim with a very tightly controlled governmental system that is mainly Unislamic... but Me and my group wear the jubbah n sarban, or even the Muslim cap with the Pakistani suit which is very rare .. and at times with the tasbih in the trains... We don't disturb anybody and are generally good to our non-Muslim friends and neighbors. We dont get involved in the celebrations of other races or religions(while many lay Muslims do..Even in our workplaces and public, we just keep to work and don't socialize much. We have our own masjid groups that we socialize as a family... When my children go to public schools, I make sure they are taught the Truth of the Quran and hadiths so that they don't get brainwashed.. We have been habitised to preach almost daily to our family. Just learn to be a part of a Jemaah/Tabligh/Tariqa and carry on with your life and do the necessary to keep your Iman till death...There is definitely much difficulty in such a lifestyle, but the reward to the iman is tremendous...In Sha Allah..May Allah protect our Islam and iman in this day and age..aameen

The Hadiths that Rasulullah saw told his sahabah to spend more time to read Salawat on him more than any other amal. 5:15 this is something that is bigger than he realizes. "They" see sacrifice as the only way to salvation unless Jesus(as) died for them. So before addressing anything you would be trying to take away their idea of salvation from them without giving them another. So I did not know salvation was in monotheism and was scared for a moment.

The most hilarious thing to me is that whenever Christians celebrate some supposed "Christian" event like Christmas or Easter, the first thing that comes out is the giant ham. You couldn't even invite Jesus (PBUH) to that dinner!

We gentiles are NOT under the Mosaic covenant so we don't have dietary food laws - only that we can't eat Blood sausage [thank God!] You Muslims are the same as us - you are gentiles and you are not under ANY covenant that stipulates what foods you can eat or not eat. You are not of the lineage of Moses. So you also are exempt. It was easy to say no PORK in Saudi Arabia - I don't think they even had pigs did they? BUT they had camels - and ate camels - so tho they are forbidden on the Jewish menu - Mohammed had to change it because it was the staple diet of Arabs! He made a change in the Jewish laws. How could he do that I wonder? Question: HOW COULD Christmas and Easter be anything BUT Christian. What other people or religion celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ and his death and resurrection? It is purely Christian lol.

Ik bekijk de intro van dit filmpje en er zitten meteen al fouten in. Wat deze man verteld klopt niet met hoe het in de Bijbel staat, ik zou zeggen lees die eerst eens. Christmas isnt about jesus because most people dont care about religion anymore and its a time to give and receive gifts. And please release the versus that you reference to because i am curious. And if god is real what does it matter how we pay our respect to him. If god is real he would care more about your intentions then your actions.

For those who do not understand. There are TWO forms of Christmas. Those for the atheists, secular Christians and those who just like to have a public holiday and celebrate. They do trees and Santa and all the palava. Then there is the REAL Christmas which is the celebration of the birth of Jesus - the Messiah of Israel. His birth is worth celebrating. We don't know what date or even month he was born. They didn't write it down as was common in those days. When PAGAN ROME with its Roman false gods was converted to Christianity without the need of a sword at all [unlike Islam] they rejected the Pagan holidays and celebrations. Did away with them. BUT all people like to celebrate eg EID So they placed CHRISTIAN celebrations over the top of Pagan ones. eg 25th December went from Pagan festival to a Christian festival. The whole theme and reason for the day was changed. The difference between Christianity and Islam is that Christianity disposed of the Pagan rituals and feasts and used our OWN ones instead of them. In Islam Mohammed continued with the exact SAME pagan rituals: eg The Haaj, the circumambulation of the Kaaba and bowing to Hubal inside it, Kissing the black rock idol, running two and fro, and stoning the devils, etc etc he performed for his FIRST 40 years when he wasn't a prophet of Islam - to the next 23 years when he was. He changed nothing except the meaning of the rituals. We disposed of the rituals altogether. Mohammed kept the rituals and continued them. So to complain about Christmas is to ignore the reality of Islam and its rituals especially kissing the same black rock idol as they did in Mecca during the period of Ignorance. Even if a stone was supposed to be trod on by Abraham to build the Kaaba it does not deserver the honour that it is given.
Its not shocking, its old news, but muslims celebrate christmas as well , not all Christians celebrate Christmas
