Fernando is extremely reliable and helpful Estate Agent with the process of my purchased on last August. There is no dodgy answers you will get from him comparison to others estate agents from my experiences. it took 6 weeks to complete the purchase from signing promisory contract to signing deeds and notary.

Would be ideal to purchase the land behind and to the side of the property as well. Then land for a pool, vegie gardens and chickens.

Know you are a busy man Nick, making a living for yourself so that you can continue to sustain your dream. Love your property videos, I remember encouraging you to do this at the start which you have excelled at showcasing all sorts of property possibilities. Hope at some point you and Sarah will have time and the motivation to show us the other side of your life there with your cottage restoration, garden and local rural life.
No chance, that doesn't bring in any money for Nick, unlike property visits.
@perolagrande we don't make enough money to live, it's not the land of milk and honey it would appear from the outside. We simply have no money and 3 dogs to feed. Just thought I'd make that clear for you so you don't think this is all about the money. I don't even know if I'll carry on with it tbh.
Hope you are able to make ends meet and continue without having to return to the UK. Always plenty of work for good builders in Cornwall, a few months to top up your funds.
@@destino2portugal I hope you do continue, but you have to have money to go and live abroad. The biggest mistake people make is relocating without having funds to buy or rent, or live sustainably. I've read stories of Brits emigrating to Thailand, then running out of money. Not a great situation to be in.

Love the space inside the house and the manageable-sized land and estsblished trees. It's such a great opportunity for a clean, liveable and functional dwelling to renovate. Location and proximity to larger towns and conveniences sound good. I like that unobstructed view of the vista (away from the village).

Every time i watch a video like this of a house that is almost 100 years old, i have to wonder how man people lived in this house, how many were created in it and were born in it. How many died in it. all the memories of joy and sadness that soaked those walls now washed away for ever. Like that movie said , like tears in the rain.
Bladerunner, amazing performance from Rutger Hauer ♥️ In our village the families tell stories of the past and people who lived in certain houses, mainly family members and they even say "that was my grandfather's tree" (as he planted it). There is still some legacy and history from the past that permeates through to today ♥️

Great potential and some amazing views . i still cant get my head around the internal layouts of many Portuguese houses though. Bedrooms next to kitchens or right next to the road with a door to the street and seemingly no link to the living areas ! they always seem a bit clumsy . Still . Good price and lots of possibilites to make it more comfortable
It didn't strike me until I watched the final cut that it would be nice to have a living wing and a bedroom wing, the idea appealed to me. I do know what you mean about odd layouts though, 'we need another bedroom, just stick it there' 🤣

Loads of damp and mold to deal with. Moving into that whilst you tear into that mold will make you ill. A lot of romantics in the comments. That place needs roofs floors replastering rewire,new electrics and windows and probably 12 months to do it.
I'd recommend anyone doing restoration work wears appropriate PPE, particularly respiration, ear and eye defenders 👌
