  • OKC is having among the healthiest seasons in league history. In fact, I think the healthiest in NBA history. Incredibly their 5 starters have missed a total of only 11 games (!) all year with Jalen Williams missing 7 so the other 4 starters have missed only 4 games (!!) combined all year. That's staggering historic good luck. Everyone went out of their way last year to point out how unusually healthy the Kings were but nobody is talking about OKC's health good fortune. It's a huge factor in their success this year. By contrast Jamal Murray has missed twice as many games as OKC's entire starting 5! The Thunder have a great future but they've been flat out lucky in terms of health this season.

    @tompratt7125@tompratt7125Ай бұрын
    • Good health doesn’t take anything away from what these young men are doing, with zero injuries u didn’t pick these guys winning more than 45 games don’t lie. They are way outperforming themselves injuries or not quit reaching for things to bring these gods down

      @DeadShotMontages@DeadShotMontagesАй бұрын
    • @@DeadShotMontages I didn't say it did take away. When they've been of the floor together they've played great. But health is a huge factor for every team and there's no doubt OKC's literally historic good health has played a major role in their record. To deny that is silly. Odds are very good that the Thunder will never have this kind of health over a season again. Injuries lead to losses. Look at last year's Nuggets. For the first time in the Jokic era they were actually fully healthy and intact going into the playoffs. In past seasons they didn't have a chance to compete for a chip because of injuries. They won last year partly because of good health.

      @tompratt7125@tompratt7125Ай бұрын
    • @@tompratt7125 that’s fair and definitely accurate but so much more has gone into this success than just being healthy I hope u notice all the positive things from the coaching staff down. This young team is light years ahead of that kings team or Memphis last few years

      @DeadShotMontages@DeadShotMontagesАй бұрын
    • @@tompratt7125 exactly why I’m excited for the playoffs. Nobody resting players, teams are as close to healthy as they are all season hopefully. No excuses. The thunder can prove that even though they were blessed with their health, they’re not the Kings. The stats tell us that already but people naturally because of age or in this case, health, still want to find some way to write them off as a paper dragon or just beneficiaries of blessings like health (which health alone isn’t purely luck).
