  • Highest fg% by a guard to average 30 ever and fewest turnovers for a player averaging over 30 ever. About to break MJs 30 point record in a season and might be the first player to drop 30 on every team in the league in the same season. Nuts

  • I love how you break apart every single player and how in depth you go. Truly a masterpiece every time. One interesting fact, look at 9:49 when Shai scores in Denver, every single teammate jumps from their seat, except Vasa Micic which does not give a shit. Same energy as Jokic when someone dunks or does some flashy shit on his team. Btw Vasa was a bench warmer there, so his frustration is much greater, glad to see him get some playing time in Hornets.

If Shai wanted to. He could 💯 put up 60 every once in a while. But he’d rather win. It’s not best stats, it’s MOST VALUABLE.

    • 4 step travel? That was a clean 2 steps tho. Leaped off right foot, landed on left, and planted the right to shoot. If luka or giannas can get away with their travels, or james harden, then why call that?

      @kaydenjaramillo723@kaydenjaramillo7232 ай бұрын
    • @@kaydenjaramillo723 The "If X did it without a call why call it now" excuse doesn't work if I haven't said that X shouldn't be called on it when he does it, too. Which I haven't, since my complaint is about NBA officiating in general and not merely about this player. Anyway, your mis-description of what happened can be refuted by anyone who actually looks at the link I provided. Play it back at .25 speed, if that helps. Having gathered the ball on his right foot (placing it is the "gather" or "zero" step) he jumps off the right foot, lands his left[1], steps AGAIN on his right foot[2], steps AGAIN with his left[3], steps AGAIN on his right foot[4], and jumps the shot. Maybe you can't or refuse see what actually went down, or count to four, but I can.

  • Not all steals are created equal tho. Michael's individual defense was leagues better than shai. I do still think he has a very respectable case for mvp

    @jacobstewart9139@jacobstewart91392 ай бұрын
    • Of course!!

      @HoopVenue@HoopVenue2 ай бұрын
    • Michael’s individual defense also is gonna look better due to him having to guard lesser offensively talented guards and wings. And that’s not even on any “ we done with the 90’s” type of timing, it’s just objectively true. There were obviously elite scoring guards and wings in the league, but overall the depth of scorers across the league at was not what it is today. So to me it’s kind of weird when you say not all steals are created equal while favoring Jordan, even though Shai is guarding better offensive players on a night to night basis and it’s probably harder to get 2 steals now then it was back then for a good defensive player. Don’t get me wrong, Jordan was a much better defensive player than shai, but the statement was a little weird

      @CFrame_@CFrame_2 ай бұрын
    • @@CFrame_ that relativity goes both ways tho. Yes, players are better on offense now, but theyre also better on defense now too. You can’t compare who jordan guarded to who Shai guards, unless you also compare what players used to be capable of compared to now. If Jordan was born in 1995 instead of 1963, and hit his prime right now in 2024, he’d probly be a quite a bit better on D than 2024 SGA.

      @Colinkrauss1@Colinkrauss12 ай бұрын
    • @@Colinkrauss1 I agree that the relativity goes both ways, which is why I was arguing the not all steals are created equal argument, as if Jordan’s steals were more impressive or meant more than shai’s. And while I agree it’s harder to play really good defense today than it was when Jordan played, to me Jordan is still the far, far better defender. I think that’s true without even having to transfer him over eras.

Since the All-Star break, they’re allowing more contact so this is less of an issue right now. But before the all star break, he was all-in on hunting pretty cheap fouls. But i guess if that’s what the nba decided is a foul, you can’t blame the man for using any rule possible to his advantage. But that doesn’t mean I enjoyed watching it ..

    • It’s actually the first! I did one on the Thunder as a team, then I had a Shai vid during the offseason, but as for an individual Shai vid this is the first one of the season, and I have a feeling it won’t be the last.

    @theleastbannedman@theleastbannedman2 ай бұрын
  • All these reasons are why I'd rather have him win MVP. Jokic is amazing but also kinda boring and already won twice. Shai is on the same level to me so it's easy to give it to him. It's not as one sided as last year and yet it still went to the wrong guy lmao.

  • Yes, the dude, who committed an intentional foul to get the ball back for his 30 points while down 15 at the end of the game, Is taking over the NBA How sad is the league now? Edits: I'm sorry. They were only down 10 when he committed the foul with 14.1 seconds left in the March 12th game vs. Pacers. Just in case some highlight watchers get enraged

  • Pointless to compare SGA to Jordan. Take points per game inflation into account. Jordans 30 is 40 in todays game. Or SGAs 30 is 22,5 in Jordans era You can't just siply compare stats like that. It doesn't mean anything
