  • I was in a bar in Alicante Spain. I witnessed a conversation between a French guy (who speaks little English) and a Scottish-British (?) drunk girl. They talked with each other non-stop! But they understood each other wrong and replied completely differently! As an American, it was the funniest thing ever to hear for me.

  • Not trying to throw shade, but as someone who also studied in France, it’s surprising that the girl who studied in Montpellier for four years doesn’t speak better French or have a better accent. I feel like immersion is the best way to learn a language!

    • Well if she studied in Montpellier for four years a few years ago, it's normal she would lose some of her French after some time without practice at all. If you don't practice the language, it's hard to keep a good level

    • Perhaps she was just saying that because its all she knew? Perhaps she didn't study there for 4 years but just knew basic words and made a sentence? Maybe she meant "mois" and said "ans" instead, a simple mistake. Don't know, just speculating because there is no way that that would be the level of French of someone who had lived there for 4 years.

    • a lot of people who speak English as a second language struggle with some pronunciations as well. It’s normal and ok! Most Americans only speak English so they are less competent with learning other languages than people who grow up multilingual.

    • Oui les américains mangent de la nourriture lourde mais c’est seulement de temps en temp, pas tous les jours. C’est vrai que les français mangent beaucoup de pain et les Americans ne sont pas toujours habitués. En plus ils mangent le dîner beaucoup plus tard dans le soir que nous. C’est juste différent, c’est tout.

  • Ce vidéo a m’inspiré à voyager à la France le printemps prochain. J’ai eu décidé que il n y’a pas assez de temps pour voyager _et_ étudier pour mes examens mais, dieu, j’adore la France trop. Si ces phases étaient absolument terrible, je suis désolée, nous avons arrêté de apprendre votre langue il y a deux ans. Bonnes souhaites d’Allemagne :)

J'ai décider (Les verbes ne se conjuguent pas avec le verbe "avoir" au passé composé...) qu'il n'y a pas asser de temps pour voyager et étudier pour mes examens mais, dieu, j'adore la France. Si ces phrase sont absolument terrible, je suis désolée (... mais se conjugue avec le verbe "être"), nous avons arrêter d'apprendre votre langue il y as deux ans. Bons souhaits d'Allemagne.
