  • One thing to consider is that the tee Carmy wears was hemmed/shortened by the costume designer (as per her twitter) since JAW isn't the tallest.

    • Ah yeah I thought that must be why. I couldn’t see anything on twitter about it though, I must have missed that! I might get mine shortened by a tailor.

    @manaphyonfire@manaphyonfire6 ай бұрын
    • Yeah for sure! I would have thought that sizing up meant the t shirt would be longer on him but it still looks short. Maybe he had it hemmed or maybe the t shirt just rides up his body a bit more because of his build?

Hard for the shirt to be tight on the chest and arms as well as ride up a bit like White if OP doesn’t have much muscle to work with. White is pretty built, especially since his newest movie he’s a wrestler.

  • Just wash it at a higher temperature James! Like 40˚ or so and it should shrink up even more. If that don’t work wash it even higher or tumble dry it even. I have the opposite problem as a tall guy where my loopwheeled t shirts and sweats needs to be kept very far away from higher temps so i can still use them, but i have an old loopwheeled(or at least tubular knit) army T from my brother that fits like carmys. It should keep shrinking in length but not width.

    @MrNimurai@MrNimurai6 ай бұрын
    • Yeah I’ll give this a go, thanks! Just worried it might shrink even more on the sleeves, which I want to avoid because they fit me nicely at the moment. Maybe getting it hemmed is the best option? Ah yeah that so I guess you have to stick to cold washes to stop the shrinkage!

      @JamesLeung@JamesLeung6 ай бұрын
    • @@JamesLeung I don’t know about the sleeve part, but I think you’ll be okay. The nature of how loopwheeled t shirts work is that they revert to their natural state after washing and then gradually stretch out somewhat. That is a desireable trait because they just keep doing that over and over. But they tend to become a little shorter and shorter in length over time. I would just give it some time before I do any hemming. Just use the hell out of it and wash it at 40˚+ at least like 10 or so times before you decide. Good luck mate!

      @MrNimurai@MrNimurai6 ай бұрын
  • Having worked in films/tv I’ve found that almost all clothing is altered to get a better fit to compliment the actors. Tightening sleeves to fit the bicep area for example. This appears to be exactly the case for carmy for the shirt length.

  • A little late to comment but "boxy cut" means a shirt doesn't follow the contour of your body, as opposed to the "slim fit" tee that is tapered down and hugs your chest and waist line. It doesn't mean square or rectangle. Another way to think about it is that boxy cut on a t-shirt is like a straight cut on pants. It's not curved or tapered. It just goes straight down.

    @kenwatanabe2864@kenwatanabe28646 ай бұрын

    • Maybe 10 minutes in the dryer?

      @MrScottWilliams1@MrScottWilliams16 ай бұрын
    • Hi @MrScottWilliams1 Thank you for purchasing our 215 T-shirts and for sharing your experience! You are absolutely correct about the shrinkage being a bit different on the striped T-shirts than the unicolored ones. The reason is that the yarn for the striped version is already pre-dyed when the fabric is loopwheeled, whereas the other fabrics are bleached/dyed post-knitting (except for the Nature and the Grey Melange colorways). In addition, shrinkage can be influenced by many factors during production, such as temperature and humidity levels in the knitting room or if it is a lighter or darker color. Since these GOOD ORIGINAL fabrics are not pre-washed and each T-shirt is unique, the shrinkage might differ slightly. I hope this information is valuable, and we wish you much joy with your T-shirts!

I have to say though, this video was impressively interesting, and while personally a short hem (as shown in the show) would be a nightmare for me, admittedly that is a great looking shirt. That's really what it comes down to regarding carmy, it fits his form perfectly. Even a pack of costco tee shirts will look great if you work out and get it tailored to your body.

Merz b schwnen have from what i can tell, the only one that is big enough to do 2xl size shirts the ones this size coming out of japan are xl only. if you order 2xl from japan it will be loopwheeled fabric but itll have side stitching. that isnt a problem as the japanese tshirts are really overengineered anyway so im not worried about longevity but its worth noting if you plan to oversize your shirt to have a loose fit it might be a surprise to get a japanese loopwheeled shirt that has the same construction of a more standard t. merz dont have this problem as their machine is bigger. the 215 isnt for everyone its for me at least a tshirt that isnt for layering .

For the super heavy weight, i go for Ironheart (i have two of their 11oz ones). Wouldnt want a heavier one. As you say they start feelijg like short sleeve sweaters after a while.

I know, not an exact science.
