    • That's not how it works, the fight wasn't confirmed until a few months ago. They don't start training for the fight until it's confirmed. He actually had quite little time by UFC standards. Not only that, but anyone with a brain assumed Khabib would win that fight. He is the absolute perfect match up to beat Conor.

    • Conor's ability to sell himself and his fights is just beyond comprehension for most. They just can't figure it out. A young man who just got the buzz of the media, decides to fight Mayweather and he GETS IT right away. Now he is so rich and here we are talking about him. Sell his own Champagne and shit. Can you believe that? Khabib is just basically doing what Conor was doing, but in a different approach to attract different fans that doesn't like Conor's way. Look at Khabib now calling out Mayweather. The pattern, man. HAHA This is Mac's way! Ridiculous! :D These fighters are businessmen with very high level of respect due to mma's nature. Do you really think that Khabib and Conor's beef is 100% real? Come'on. UFC today is a WWE with real fighting competition in the stage. To be a good businessman/ fighter is to sell your self, sell your fight, make people watch, the more the viewers, the more witness, the more relevant the phenomenons are. You make UFC happy because you make them stay in the game, they'll pay you more. Even if it is not UFC. Producers will definitely chase you around to get you on their team. Look at 50 cent now tryin to get Khabib :) #business

  • I cannot stress enough how PURE CLASS this man is! As a coach, he doesn't want to sell out his fighter (Conor) in regards to the Paulie Sparring, and the evaluation of the Mayweather fight. As a fighting enthusiast, not just an MMA guy, but a boxing guy as well, he is able to be humble and talk intelligently about the fight, and the differences about boxing and MMA. You heard it from him too: Floyd's defense is so fascinating and entertaining... I will be referencing this video the next time someone calls Floyd a pussy because "He just plays defense" As an amateur boxer, in my city, most gyms were combination MMA and Boxing although I think the trend has separated recently. And I can tell you, as a very rookie boxer (no more than 2 months of training) I was already more comfortable in a boxing match than an MMA fighter who had been either strictly Kick Boxing, or MMA (no real formal boxing training) for years. MMA vs Boxing are absolutely two different animals. I know some people without knowledge are watching the two sports and thinking they CAN'T be that different, but trust me they are. And just so we're clear, those same MMA fighters who got in the ring with me, would absolutely demolish me with one move in an MMA match. No question. MMA fighters (in my experience) are much stronger. Of course much more versatile in fighting styles. But boxers tend to be more agile, and have better cardio. If you listen to this guy, he's saying the same thing. Conor going for big shots, Mayweather biding his time. Anyone who sits there and says "well he went such and such rounds against the best in the world." You have to understand, it was all strategy. It was a plan. If Mayweather thought his best chance to win was a 1st round KO, he would have gone for it, and he would have got it, but he knew, like I knew even as a relatively new boxer, that it's about using your defensive skills, foot work, and cardio to beat the bigger and stronger man. Dragging them into the deep water, making them uncomfortable, therefore susceptible to punishment and mistakes. Conor lasted as long as he did because Floyd let him. It wasn't because Conor was some sort of boxing wizard. This is probably the only topic I hate listening to Rogan drone on about. As much as he loves boxing and MMA when he talks about this particular fight, his bias really shows, which I get, but find annoying. He's so quick to praise Conor, and so quick to say Mayweather would be crushed in an MMA fight. Which is TRUE! He would! But last time I checked, Mayweather wasn't running around saying he'd choke out Conor or any other UFC fighter, remember, it was Conor (no doubt to cause hype) who talked trash about boxing. Not even Conor really bothered me, it was the disrespectful MMA fans, who had clearly never stepped into a ring or an octagon annoyingly guaranteeing a Conor KO that bothered me. Not Conor. Not even the fight itself. It was the lack of respect that boxing was being shown that really really bothered me. Sorry for the rant LOL

People not understanding what happened with Floyds style dont understand boxing. Floyd used Philly Shell...... him walking forward was purposeful. It eliminates Conors ability to control the distance. And it is a mental game with Conor. That tick tock tick tock im still here. Tick tock tick tock. O your queit. Tick tock tick tock. O your tired now. Tick tock. Pop tick pop. Pop pop pop. It screws with your head and especially as you get tired.

    • You’re right I have never seen Floyd turn his back on and opponent intentionally, duck forward put his gloves against both sides of his head and push his ass out into his opponents hip , He took advantage of McGregor’s lack of experience with boxing it was an ingenious strategy but I found it gross and ugly. If that was a seasoned box or he would’ve tore his body apart but McGregor naturally saw his opponents back and instantly clenched and tried to hammer fist and then after getting a warning clenched and tried to spin him around which completely tired him out. And if you mean stood there, no he didn’t I have never seen Floyd use the complete orthodox turtle shield arms to the temple elbows in, usually he has one hand up one hand down that’s when he fights actual boxers and he continuously circles the ring, so yes he wanted to exchange and make the flight exciting and put on a performance against an amateur in boxing but fact is he used the most defensive guard that he never uses, that guard is specifically to absorb powers shots so with all due respect you don’t know what you’re talking about. Connor was overzealous and beaten by the greatest boxer of our era arguably of all time, but the people that think he was carried is completely ludicrous. Because in order for a fighter to carry his opponent that means that he can end the fight whenever he wants, ergo if he wanted to he could knock him out in the first round (there is a reason that he completely turtles, utilized a guard he never uses forsix rounds and over three rounds only threw six punches)… No it is incontrovertible that Mayweather had to utilize a tactic, tire McGregor out and then take him apart and even when McGregor couldn’t even bring his arms up he was so tired and Mayweather teed off on him for a solid 30 seconds he didn’t come anywhere near dropping, and in the post fight interview right in the ring his words were enunciated properly he was not concussed He was not wobbling he was exhausted but he was not concussed in anyway shape or form. Finally what makes this incontrovertible is Mayweather has stated in an interview on ESPN the reason that he is better than all of the other greats in boxing, is because he does not get hit… Look it up. There is no way shape or form that he intentionally allowed an amateur to hit him that is just delusional ignorance. And most importantly Mayweather is a businessman, understand that a nine figure paycheque is beautiful but more popularity more renown leads to an athlete being a better market worth: long-term that leads to much more money even when you are completely retired and in old age. If Mayweather were to have knocked McGregor out cold in the first or second round his market worse as a commercial entity would have gone to unprecedented levels, there would be no one comparable, Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan, etc. but that was not a physical possibility karma which is why we saw him utilize a extremely defensive tactic which is incontrovertibly not what a fighter that carries his opponent does, and then start to open up once McGregor was completely exhausted and still he could not put him out cold if the rest let it keep going it is highly probable that McGregor would have hit the canvas and got a 10 second countdown, like he wanted, which he was able to enunciate clearly right after he was “TKO’d”. Look at flyers that are hurt from head trauma whether it’s boxing or MMA, but in particular boxing because head trauma is even more prevalent in boxing actually, they wobble, they cannot talk clearly if at all and when they are in the middle of being hit brought to that point their head is pushed down towards the canvas by the punches because their neck and core goes Limp due to trauma, with McGregor his head kept coming back up and never went down low towards the canvas you can go back and watch it.

To fix it I took a long broom handle and put it between my legs and crossed them while standing. Then I put my bicep 💪🏽 on top and pulled it down with my other arm. Digs super deep in the muscle and fixed my pinched nerve. Even put it under your arm pit and do acupressure. It's a life saver. No other method will apply that type of force or angle.

Which is why even at Khabib showdown, at the end of the day, he has gotten more refined skills as a grappler which he can employ in his career. He’s like Bruce Lee, he’s always ALWAYS improving and trying new things. I will never hate Conor, and I admire his courage and passion to do things that have never been done before in the history of this sport. Even after defeat, he rises up from the ashes more defined and stronger than he was before. I know Khabib mauled him in the ring, but did Khabib last 10 rounds in the ring with Mayweather? No.. I mean I know that it’s not his type of style, but he did not do anything like that. Neither did Ferguson... Conor had the balls to make history. It doesn’t matter what people say about him. That Irish gangsta is a legend for me.

  • Conor said he was boxing and training for Mayweather long before the fight was actually announced. There's video's of Conor boxing saying he wanted Mayweather and training for boxing for Mayweather months before that. So to be fair, Conor was working on boxing well before this 10 week period.

    • Of course not. Which is exactly why Conor had no place in the ring with him. It was a money grab, but Conor never had a chance. It wouldn't have even gone as long as it did if Mayweather didn't string him along so people at least got some of their money's worth. Conor could train for two years and he still would have been beat badly.

    • Makers Mike straight up they did not belong in there with Floyd. His coach sounds like he was star struck and that means they didn’t come to win they came for a payday and for the hell of it

  • Floyd booked the fight in August because CANELO vs GGG was coming in September. Mayweather usually fights in September and May because of the revenue generated by the Mexican audience on cinco de mayo and Mexican independence days. Booking the fight in August made sense this time to undercut the Canelo fight, and not have to wait for May 2018. Also mcgregor had been preparing for the boxing match for many months beforehand. There was an Instagram post he made way in advance of the fight being made about only training for boxing. Don’t forget how long Money and Mac were building up the fight before it became official. Lastly, mcgregor wasn’t throwing many hard punches like he was in a ufc fight early on in the fight like his coach said he was. That’s just his way of reiterating his bs about not having enough time to prepare. The truth is Mac threw punches that were just largely ineffective. I give Mcgregor credit for trying, but some of the truth gets filtered out when people break down this fight.
