If you want control, you need a good grip. I share my thoughts on how I'm able to consistently grip my mouse the same way every time which also helps me aim with precision.

Rank up faster, carry your games, and master your mechanics with my Aiming Formula course - www.fpscoach.com/aimingformula
I finally understand your mouse grip, it feels so good compared to what I had been doing for months, which is that I had my pinky bent at a sharp angle, and after a long while it would hurt. With your grip, my hand feels much more relaxed, and that should give the ability to have a smoother aim than before. Thanks!
Great vid. I never really thought about the mechanics of gaming much, but I wish I had way earlier. I played against you a few times in the old dog/cal-i days. You were a beast.
I highly recommend his course. He’s a great teacher and gives great examples and thoughts on aiming
Thank you Steven 😊
You’re a beast. I love applying techniques, even minor ones, learned here
👍
beast?
Early gang ❤️ But seriously, love watching your vids and applying what I learnt to my own game, definitely an underrated creator. Love you man
Ty Toph :D
I'm still getting used to waggling over my mouse before playing, but I can tell it feels different now. Thank you for sharing these tips.
I started holding the mouse with my pinky and thumb instead of my ring finger and thumb. Which at first yes felt kinda awkward at first. But after IMPLEMENTING this my ring finger just kinda rested there and wasnt in the way and it wasnt overly awkward. ALL this time and I was holding my mouse wrong! Its been 3 days since I've implemented this and ON GOD, my aim has improved 10 FOLD! Ive been winning games now that I can actually confidently hit my shots. Thanks Kim!!! Serious game changer!!!
👍👍
I love you Ron Rambo Kim
I personally feel like comfort does play a big role, at least for me its way easier to get into a flow/the zone of some sort wich makes gameplay nicer because im not getting disctracted from the wierdness thats would be my new mouse grip, although you might be able to get used to it imo.
You da real mvp
Thank you so much I’ve been looking for how to girp a mouse right
Loving your content. Keep it up man.
Ty Josh :)
Thanx bro this video is useful
I have some pretty long fingers so it's more comfortable for me to go in a fingertip/claw hybrid. If my palm were to touch my mouse then my the end of my fingers would hang over the edge. I currently use a Zowie S1.

great video thanks a lot~!
why do i keep changing my mouse grip every second. I keep getting killed and cought off guard by it.
sounds like you are just too conscious about your aim
try to relax more when playing
Facts dude like every time i win a match ill take my hand off my mouse then when i Put my hand on my mouse my grip is different
Tom same exact boat as you... I just can’t claw the g403. Looking forward to my s2 though
So you play whitout mouse
thx really helped
OH boy I've just finished fidgeting with my grip for the past few months to find something reasonable and now this is posted. fml.

Thanks fly!
You made me change my grip and how to concentrate and how to focus when shooting thank you my dude! It’s small things like this that makes n difference
used my new perfect mouse grip to like this video!
Well explain
Ily thanks I got good at building at fortnie
"How can you expect different results or better results if you keep doing the same thing???" Keep that in mind and then bring that to your life.
I have a certain fingertip grip style with the Deathadder, which twists the mouse and forces my fingers to tilt a bit, and while it hurts after playing for some time, I can aim most consistently like that. This was tested on deathmatch with expert bots (being the silver that I am) and I noticed that putting my hand in any other grip, for whatever reason, makes me feel that my sensitivity is too high or low, and I lose all precision
My mouse has ever so slight grooves and I can feel when my fingers are off centre. I have my palm quite far back, and lay my fingers along the keys with my fingertips slightly over the edge (it is a Logitech M185)
I usually have the problem of having sweaty hands so my grip on the mouse becomes "loose". Kind of like how Xantares wipes his mouse all the time with a towel to get better grip, saw Golden doing it aswell but with his shirt
you could try mice with different texture
You can have a towel beside you if that helps and before hopping in the game your playing relax and put your hand in ice with cold water that helps alot
Grip is very important , it can also set you in a better posture
Hey Ron, great vid. Could you do an Analysis of shroud aim and position?Probably one of the best “aimers” in the game. Thanks man. GG
When I grip my optimal way, my aim feels really good, its an ocean of difference. But the problem arises after certain amount of time, when the friction between my lower palm/wrist and mousepad increases. This causes the wrist to jitter along the pad when I pivot from the elbow, instead of it sliding smoothly along. Do you have any tips for this? I've never quite figured this out after years of experimentation and attempts. Love your content
if your problem regards friction then try getting a sport arm sleeve, use it myself and really made the sessions a lot more consistent as they proceed.
@@Focussss_ yeah i have one too and they make your gameplay way more consistent
@@Focussss_ Tried that, but this is regarding the lower palm of my hand frictioning, not my arm
My Thoughts He didn’t mentioned the feeling of being tired ( even thoug it could cause to make him change his grip ), i think his problem is friction of the lower part of the hand due to sweat. Try to wash you hand whenever your palms increases fricion. Just don’t use a lot of soap and dry them well.
I may have found a solution after all these years. Im currently using a salt stone (made to replace deodorants) to keep my palm dryer for longer and it's currently actually working ;D Thanks for all your suggestions guys!
can you do a video talking about handling looses
I don't know man. I just try to get in a good position on my chair to replicate previous times of play. I sometimes notice myself sitting in different positions that works worse for my aiming and movement so then I try to re-adjust. :)
Hosp agreed son / kid
For best aim If your body type is ectomorph, then go for the long+narrow width mouse such as fk1,fk2,rival 310, 300, za1,12,13, base on ur handsize. If your body type is mesomorph , then go for the ec1, ec2, s1, s2 anything mouse that have 2:1 length:width base on ur handsize. This apply to people who have endomorph body type. Found this technique. After 4k hrs of csgo, global elite been consistent on lv10 faceit for whole year.
i never really thought about grips. i bought a mouse and adapted so its comftorable for me. rn i use the g403 and im really comfy with it
i fucking love joakim karud
Ron i have a very imporant question. Should i keep my wrist straight in the neutral position?
spent months searching for a grip that I can consider comfortable, have yet to find it
Do you think the palm grip would in general be a poor grip choice then? Just considering what you said about the golfer. With a palm grip there really isn't much room to alter the grip or make tiny adjustments because, well, you're palming the entire mouse. If the mouse is tucked into your palm you can't really move it back or forward without using your entire arm. and it seems like most of the pressure on the mouse would end up being downward. I ask this because I recently went from palm to fingertip grip and noticed absurd differences. Like, I was averaging 65kpm in aim bots with palm grip on csgo, but after changing I broke 100 kpm the other day. Also, I thought of this because you bring up comfort, and while palm grip is pretty much always comfortable and finger tip has taken some getting used to, fingertip is without a doubt a better grip when considering micro-adjustments.
yes
I will learn to switch grips based on the gun and situation to have some of the benefits and all of drawback
0:40 just saying you shouldn't use the second grip (the one you switched to) That grip limits the amount of spin you can impart and messes with the direction of where you want to hit the ball. This is because, by using that grip, you end up playing with an awkward bat angle, and it also makes it's harder to change the bat angle, this in effect reduces control. Coming from a tt coach, use the first grip (shakehand) or penhold. :)
thanks for the tip! i definitely could use them
@@RonRamboKim no worries
So u long do u think it takes to get used to a new grip u don't think if I stick to one I'll get better at it cz changing often if I don't see results causes me to be always in the adjusting phase
I know the cut-off is a bit arbitrary, but can you make a video on how higher-level players should focus on improving?
My grip is similar but i have my ring and pinkie finger flat on my mousepad and yes i love ambidextrous mice i was using the fk2 until recently now using O-
I swear, someday there would be a course in college named gaming and this video will be included.
I dont use my pinky at all it sits in the air or on the pad depending on what movement i am doing. Like if i am going for a long shot that requires pin point accuracy and control ill have pinky on pas to stabilise the mouse movements.. If im moving through a map or around corners i will lift pinky to less friction and faster movements
Can I use hamburger angle?
When i move my arm more outwards to the right f.e when tracking a right moving Target my arm begins to jitter and makes my aim stutter
1 problem. I have tiny hands, so I asked for the viper mini for Christmas, and instead got the viper, it feels a bit too big
I have a little experience in these things: and over the years I learned some very contradicting ideas. In any discipline, your teacher will teach you certain techniques, we call form. They are often unintuitive, uncomfortable and is a big hindrance to any newcomer. Mastering form and technique is apparently a must as it is useful and proven by test to give better results. People with good form succeed while people with bad form don't. This is the case for almost every discipline. Then out of nowhere a magician appears who shows the middle finger to form and technique and create(use?) their own makeshift form/technique that not only works for them, it revolutionizes the whole discipline, soon poeple start copying them (most of the time to no avail), it becomes a new thing and slowly dies out. I think for any form/technique it is important to understand the underlying principles and reasons for those techniques so that instead of blindly following you understand exactly why you are doing what you are doing so in the future over time you can adjust and modify according to yourself. It is very important to customize your techniques as no size fits all.
The grip feels good, but then how do I scroll, lol.
should your wrist or bottom of your palm touch the table at all? i feel like naturally i do that, and it fucks up my aim
thanks to your video I now use my mouse with my left foot and I got to global elite
🦶
i have wide mouse for a long time, today i changed my mouse. different shape, and my aim sooo bad. i need new grip but i cant really adapt to my new mouse shape. any good tips?
any tips on monitor placement? hieght? tilt? distance from eyes?
If youre taking games very seriously , id recommend placing the Monitor really near to you for more control and reaction time.
@Collin yeah I'd never keep them too close currently running them, so center screen is eye level, tilted forwards a small tad, and around 2 -2half feet from my eyes, it's a dual monitor set up, and I also use f.lux for a blue light filter on a night. Id just really like too hear the thought of a ex pro/coach on this matter, not to discredit anything anyone else says, but expro/coach or some random I know which is choose.
@@niklas7670 but that actually hinders your fov and makes you move your eyes much more to see corners of the screen.
I'm just trying to find something that doesn't hurt the corner of my palm from pivoting off it on my mouse pad. its killing me. I PC game but I also do 3D design for my work so i'm constantly at my desk with my mouse
Can you do a video about pro csgo players keyboard setup? Also cover their hand placement. How does s1mple wasd with his thumb? No video has covered keyboard "grips"
just play the way that feels good for you, then start adjusting if you need to
Would you recommend an ambi or ergo mouse for someone with claw (switches between claw palm and claw grip). I've been told that ergo mice will be best for this but does anyone have any thoughts?
cant relate because i hold my mouse at like 45* degree finger grip. it looks and sounds ridiculous but the amount of accuracy i got in flicks is insane
It always throws me off when i watch your intro and there is no sound, then I check if my sound is muted. I think you should maybe add something like a mouse clicking sound when the crosshair goes into the O. Just an idea. Anyways great videos. You talk about alot of stuff outside the game which would've never crossed my mind.
Thanks pew pew! I'll think about what sound works for the intro :)
Ron Rambo Kim Don't make it super loud. Make it the same volune as your voice.
Do you know that the before grip of your ping pong was the right one
i used to claw with higher dpi when i was young. then i switched to low dpi. then i swtiched mice and learned to palm them. then i copied an old bjegsen gripstyle with 200dpi, which brought me RSI. at this point i hit top100 in eu back then in hots, while beating the #1 from eu and korea multiple times. i managed to improve even more and utilize my armmovements back into 400dpi. then i started to claw again and improved even harder. i even got kicked for aimbotting in fps games, while i wasnt even aimbotting and am rather a moba player. the journey actually just teached me to use my arm more but i was almost back at the starting point, just with less dpi and waaay more stable armmovement and less wrist. you cannot forget that you regrip your mouse, for instance when you write once. this regripping is basically without looking at the mouse or lines, you do it naturally and fast, like a fortnite bugha. the believe alone, that you changed stuff, gives you hidden confidence in the end. changing too much can result in RSI and this shit is a pain in the ass. changing gripstyles is an awesome way to teach yourself some mechanics, but as seen in the cs:go pro world, its not necessary, like in s1mples case, who still goes with the typicle wrist style and dominates with this like faker in LoL did. the confidence part in learning and applying is in the end the key. beeing in the zone is key. focusing on what to do, when to do it, is key. patience also beats skill. faker also still uses windows acceleration, which proves how repetitive input will help you way more, than changing styles, even if changing styles helps you learning a certain style faster by studies. in the end breaks are more vital than changing stuff over and over again. and as mentioned... the believe in yourself. if you suck one round, its simply natural. you cannot always be top notch, since luck is also a factor.
edit: if you want to learn how to move more with your arm, go one day with VERY low sens in an fps game, where you have to slide twice at 30cm to do a full turn. once you finished your fps session and tab out to the desktop, 400dpi feels ridicoulus fast.
Best way feels palm, recently I tried claw just for fun and holy shit my aim feels amazing yet my hand feels so awkward especially my movement it's kinda annoying me.
Lmao when i switch to claw i had the same feeling and it feels like im good with palm and claw at the same time idek why
Ron rambo kim the gaming doctor!
with my new mousegrip and new sensitivity!! i am really better than before in my opinion, i usually drop 20-25 frags in Gold Nova 2 Matchmaking but with my new EDPI ( 400 DPI, 2 sens ) i dropped 30+ frags every match!!
good job! just wanted to say this before some troll starts to make fun of you, but i'm glad you're making progress! good luck in the future and i hope you become global elite!
Aztralise thank you!! i'll get there one day, i've only been playing for a year, and i'm gonna start to play FACEIT soon
Whatever fits you Hope you have a great carrier coming up

Play faceit much better anyways congrats man when u always feel better every improvement try to focus on ur gamesense and teamplay more by playingn on pugs and grinding ur way with friends or in a team anyway goodluck with gloval or level 10
Have you mastered your sitting ?
Dude some of those hands look like meaty fuckin chernobyl claws
yo, should i hold my mouse lightly or thightly? pls reply
Does your palm come in contact with the mouse pad? I find that if any part of my arm or hand touches the desk or mouse pad it starts to stick a little and it's hard to make minor aiming adjustments.
Yes, I do have palm on the mouse. The mouse shape has a big factor in this
great video, but my inner collegiate table tennis player is annoyed by your grip and calling it ping pong
😅im a noob forgive me
i play osu... mai grip looks almost same as urs , but i place my ring finger on desk so i can precisely move, i'm high dpi player, model o-, (if u won't put ur ring finger on desk ur pinky of course crawls down to that bootom of mouse = it will start hur afer sum time, so in mai opinion is that why my grip is best)
Can mouse being 165gram hold me back i use palm claw mix grip
if my grip isnt ok should i change it
what's your grip on 2:25? the 1-3-1
My "new" mouse grip, is "finger-tip" or something like that, ScreaM holds his mouse in a similar way. My problem is, that in warm up, my aim got like 35% worse, but in comp, i`ve started to play better, specially on medium/small range. Should i stick to it? Also my 2 right fingers kinda hurt.
If your grip is causing pain, I'd recommend changing :/
Is fingertip grip inconsistent tho?
WTF the pinky and the thumb really works O__O
👍
I press my ring finger against the mouse but its starting to hurt
I hold my Zowie ec 2b with a full palm and my fingers are a bit over the edge. Is this a good way of holding the mouse. After a long period of time it gets uncomfortable.
if it works for you, sure
I start playing palm then claw then finger tip claw seems to have the most control for me but my tracking suffers
Agreed! Much easier to track with palm grip
Finger tip and claw are for flicks usally palm has a steady movement
But i use claw Sometimes i would see my self going palm just have to get use to claw
just use twistzz grip easy headshots lol
You palm grip an ambidextrous mouse? Damn lol
I grip my mouse how it's supposed to be gripped, I put my fingers in the small spaces and allign them with the bumps of the mouse, I don't want to have any air between hand and mouse. The problem ia sweaty palms and it sometimes gets on my nerves, I always "clean" my hands off my clothes.
At first I was like What's with the ping pong paddle Then after watching i understood
The grip you had in table tennis was actually the correct one lol
I guess the point I want to make is that sometimes when speaking of feel based things, 'correct' can be relative :P
@@RonRamboKimI get your point
I've already got 6k hours in csgo and although I dont play as much as I used too, something I think I have a hard time with is finding my ready position with the mouse. Like say my ready position is the middle of the mouse mat, then at some point while playing I've ended up drifting to the side awkwardly as a new random starting point. Is there any good way to practice moving your mouse back to the ready position as you move around, or do I just kind of need to keep aware of it until its second nature? 800edpi with 2 in game at 400dpi.
Follow your natural instinct, adjust your setup following your mouse.
I play aimbotz/ffa a lot these days, and I myself can definitely feel that playing aimbotz especially helps with controing your mouse even when it isn't in the normal position.
No, you don’t practice to get back to that first position. You practice to be better at those awkward mouse angles. Moving the mouse back costs time that can cost you a round.
@My Thoughts don't think you understood what I was saying at all, but thanks for trying
@My Thoughts maybe it's how I worded it, in which case it's my bad. But I know for a fact were not on the same page here, not talking about the same issue. Appreciate you trying to help though 😊
bro, please make russian subtitles in your videos.
I have like a claw grip but it looks like a palm grip. Like my hand is in the mouse like the claw, but also my fingers are like stretched out but a little and a little of claw. Wtf what mouse should I use? I want to buy a zowie because actually i am using a logitech g pro but its working bad

Hey Ron, Im pissed of my job, and when I quit it I have to wait till next summer to get anpther apprenticise. I wanted to ask if it is possible to become an esports pro in this time, and how?
I'll be honest, it is extremely difficult to become a pro gamer. It requires 8-12 hours a day of practice for at least 6+ months, and its still no guarantee
Ty for your reply, sure I know its risky, but I feel like I should try, even if the odds are against me, its worth a try. I know it sounds silly. Its just Im not happy with what im doing know. Not trying it out, leaves me in deep pain, its like Im sad, but I cant cry, I cant feel, it munches a hole inside of me. Its my dream & Im happy you repplied. ☺️
@@CH_Milow Just having come across this I hope you don't take this the wrong way. But I seriously don't think it's a good idea to pursue a career as an esports pro as a primary career path. Like Rambo said its a very long shot, and you need to give it your all to have that slim shot. Having a time constraint like that will just make it that much harder/impossible. I sympathize with your situation, but I would suggest improving your life in other areas first like a more fulfilling career path first, and then pursuing the esports dream after you've got all your ducks in a row. When I was younger I tried giving it my all at the expense of other areas of my life and I regret it. If you fail, you have to make sure youre in a situation where you won't be too devastated by it not working out. It sounds like if you fail, you'll just go back to a job you hate.

There are multiple ways to find your sens but before I get into to that let me give you two considerations before that first your mouse you use. Try big mice and small mice maybe a model O and a model O - or a GPW mm170 etc. Next the size of mouse pad make sure it's 18x16 at least and finally play with different speed pads. After all that download some custom maps for finding some sensitivitys and try some pros sens.
